Good food fast service for 12 people
We had lunch one day and breakfast another day. Food was great!
Food is great. Service from the register staff could get 0 stars. Too busy chatting or counting the pennies on the counter.
Discovered this nice place while touring the flower quilts in the area. We really enjoyed our chicken bacon ranch sandwiches. The staff was very friendly and the prices were very fair. Next time we are intown, we will be returning.
The Corn Crib Cafe was a nice suprise on our way to Chicago. Their turkey pretzel club was one of the best sandwich Ive eaten in a long time. I was silly enough to choose the side of cottage cheese, but there were other, more appetizing options. My wife and children also enjoyed their meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
Super good service. My wife really liked the sweet potato hash, and I had the Corn Crib Hash! Good selection of fresh baked pies.
Went on a Saturday morning not very busy at the time. Our breakfast was barely warm and cold syrup didn’t help any. We will not go back.
Ordered a griller with fries, delicious. Service was very good. Was there at 11:30 am and by noon was standing room only. When back in town will eat there again.
Good food, but it was really noisy! Had a headache by the time we left.
Just a couple truckers stopping for breakfast. Left with a full belly and a half dozen cookies. Delicious food, super clean place, full of smiles. Worth the stop for the biscuits and gravy (like breakfast soup!).
Pretty good breakfast. I’d give it a good 4/5. The service was excellent and the food was decent. Located right next to a coffee shop - so that’s cool.
Were in Indiana for a dog show, and stopped at this place for a good breakfast.. and boy did they deliver! Not only were they extemely accommodating of two Service Dogs, but the food was so delicious!
My husband ordered cinnamon french toast, couldnt taste any cinnamon. I ordered short stack of pancakes, brought french toast. Fresh fruit extremely over ripe, not eatable. Forgot to bring us water. Didnt come around for coffee refill or more hot water for my tea until done. Seemed to be short staffed for waiting tables.
When you walk into the corn crib you are not greeted so you seat yourself. Finding seats especially for a big family can be harder because the restaurant is kinda small. The servers has been nice we do normally have to ask for refills but they get them for us. So far we have only been here twice because we are normally a family of 5 sometimes 7 so its hard to get a seat. I have had the pizza which was ok also the chicken salad which is NOT a salad with chicken on top i was not a fan.
Breakfast was horrible! Was here a couple times for lunch and it was so enjoyable! Today, however, 05/14/22 , met friends for breakfast and my friend ordered biscuits and gravy and it tasted horrible! I had an unremarkable French toast breakfast. Three of us tasted the biscuits and gravy and all agreed it was awful. It was returned to kitchen with only a few bites out. The cook said she tasted it and it tasted fine and refused to adjust the bill to reflect order returned uneaten. Management should review the biscuits and gravy preparation, it has chemical over-tones and was sooooo horrible!
The turkey bacon sandwich on a pretzel bun is fabulous!!
Great service and great people! Had the chicken, bacon and ranch grinder it was delicious!
You will NOT leave hungry. Prices are spot on
I got the Grilled Chicken Club sandwich and it was the best chicken sandwich Id ever had.
Pretty good little spot! Stopped in for lunch a couple weeks ago and was really impressed. They have a wide menu, fast service and fair prices. The special of the day was meatloaf and seemed to be the crowd favorite. I had a salad and was very happy. I’ll be back again!
Very good food and the best waitress!!
My mom & I stopped for lunch. I had Wednesday special which was Salisbury steak, potatoes, gravy,& green beans. Mom had chicken quesadilla. Great food & friendly wait staff. Stop & enjoy some great food.
Food is ok. Nothing special and prices are high. Manager lady doesn’t really know what she is doing. Service was ok.
Nice little place with good service, good prices, and delicious food.
Really good food. Yummy place to eat. They are always busy so sometimes it takes a few minutes to get their attention at the counter. But the staff is always friendly and I really love this restaurant.
Food was good, but the service needs a lot of work.. I waited for over 30 mins for the waiter to acknowledge me and I never received any napkins or utensils… not impressed!Update: I decided to give them a second chance. And I wasn’t disappointed, service here was amazing! I definitely highly recommend!
Loved this place. Went in this morning and the staff was so friendly. The prices were good and the food was amazing. Its so hard to find biscuits and gravy that doesnt need to be doctored. Definitely want to come back here in the future
The best Western omelet I have ever eaten. I liked the atmosphere and the restaurant was very clean with great service.
We were looking for a fun spot for lunch and we were delighted to discover Corn Crib Cafe. The decor was elegant and fun and the service was friendly and intelligent and the food was scrumptious. My son got a 7-in pizza with sausage and pepperoni. His friend got a grinder with chicken, bacon, ranch. My mom ordered off the sides menu and got a broccoli salad, the kind you get at a church potluck, also some delicious cottage cheese, and sweet potato waffle fries. The sweet potato waffle fries actually were a hit the ordinary waffle fries were a little less crispy than we might have liked.I got this delicious quesadilla with grilled chicken, black beans, small cubes of sweet potatoes, corn, cheese, and other delicious things. It was huge and after I couldnt finish it I come into that it should be made available in a half portion and learn that if I had asked for that they would have done it. You should ask for what you need. One note against them: they have bare walls and a bear ceiling and tile floors and metal chairs and all of that causes sound to echo and they have nothing there to absorb sound and it was so loud that my mom had to take out her hearing aids because it was painful. I commented about this to our waitress and she said they were aware of it and were trying to think of something to improve the situation.
Can tell this is a new business, short staffed, a little slow service but thats alright. We are in uncertain, tough times. Our experience was overall very pleasant.I thought lunch was reasonably priced for what we got. They had sides like fries, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, and delicious broccoli salad. Its nice to have a variety other than deep fried sides.I had the turkey club on the pretzel bun and that was tasty! Macaroni is very similar to Panera breads. My moms Hawaiian grinder looked fantastic. We will be back next time we are in the area. Thank you!
Food is very over priced for the area. There was trash in my to-go box (twisty tie, plastic, wet paperwhen I went to talk about the issues I had, I was met with opposition, and left unsatisfied. Would not recommend. Go 2 miles east to Marners Six Mile Restaurant! Much better service and prices!
Good food, nice portions, reasonably priced and good customer service. Its a definite return meal place!
I had the western omelette. It was very good. The service was quick and the waitress was friendly.
While the food was great, the service leaves much to be desired. When I arrived to pick up my online order I was completely ignored by 4 ladies behind the counter. There was no greeting or anything. It took 10 minutes to get anyones attention to be given my order. I hope they fix this issue!
Readily becoming a weekly stop!
Beef and chicken noodles are sooooo good.
Great breakfast..you wont be disappointed!
I got lunch here for the first time and loved it! The food was really good with large portions, the waiters friendly, and atmosphere cozy. Will definitely be back.
Good food, but service was a little slow. Sweet potato waffle fries were cooked a little too long. But, overall good food.
What a great place to eat. Food and service is top notch. Definitely worth the drive from Fort Wayne. Will be back very soon.
The waitresses are polite and prompt. They clean the table before you sit down.
Love the pretzel bread on the turkey sandwich!
Great food. Great prices. Great service.
Great food with a friendly staff. Not crazy about the seating.
The most delightful and delicious lunch stop! It was our 2nd day in Shipshewana and by far the best! Lots of great menu choices and dessert! The service was fast and friendly!
Great menu items for a reasonable price!
Good Food and Great Prices
Great variety for everyone!
It would be nice if they answered their phone. Country corral got the win again. Nice job.
Delicious breakfast made with real ingredients. Fresh homemade bread, generous servings and quick service. Corn crib cafe is a great addition to SHIPSHEWANA.
