Love the coffe and ham and cheese sandwich

Only had 2 staff serving. The queue was out through the door. 40 minutes in queue and not even an apology for the wait.

Excellent service and excellent coffee.Cake was a bit hit and miss. But the coffee and the service were one of the nicest I have tasted for a while.

Good coffee as usual @ Costa. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A decent Costa with disabled parking outside. The place has had a makeover since my last visit with new decor, seating and a new screened entrance to reduce the wind flow into the queuing area. Good deals as you’d expect with a cheap £2 breakfast option. Good service as you’d generally expect from costa and tasty food. Coffee excellent as always.

Didnt give 5 as I only nipped In quick to drink my tea my parents got so didnt get to see staff or food on offer or cleanliness etc.

Always excellent coffee , only probs queuing takes so long .Must say tho illys coffee is a very close second so its good to have competition...

Great coffee and service but could do with putting the heating on when its 4° outside. Shouldnt have to sit in my coat and scarf while my coffee goes cold in minutes.

The usual for Costa, clean with friendly staff. But why, like I do with most customer orientated establishments, this more to do with good training than the people behind the counter

Terrible Experience! I visited this Costa recently and have to say it is the dirtiest coffee shop I have ever been inside. I cannot believe that the management & local council can accept this standard. Especially due to the current pandemic. The sanitary bins were overflowing, every surface inside the building was covered in food/spilt drinks etc. The childrens high chairs were so badly covered in food etc that we could not use them. Incidentally if anyone from the council/Costa does read this you need to know that all of the highchairs are dangerous. We tried 4 different chairs and all of them have loose bolts and are unsuitable for use. A child will get hurt if this is not rectified immediately. The whole experience just goes to show that multi million pound companies like Costa do not care about the welfare of their customers and the councils that operate in the area are just as bad.

Love Costa never been to this shop before long que not enough staff ran out of many things and no food,ok covid pings, hot day, 1500hrs in afternoon ill let it slide,but not impressed same estate has a Niro if you really need to use here click and collect was alot faster,not going to add pictures but if Costa read this blue paper on the floor soaking up water and piles of rubbish swept into the corner takes 5mins to sort nuff said

Gone down hill these past few years, small or medium cold drinks only during peak of summer, reduction in food choice? No nhs app only Costa app, unlike English stores which have both, and then the pointless ID checks make the experience quite annoying. Only caveat is these issues might be a Costa Wales issue rather than specific to branch.

Covid regulations in there way too completed when all I wanted was a coffee! Totally abandoned NHS track and trace and need to show ID!!! Over price rubbish coffee too.

Coffee is very poor, lacks flavour or substance. Hot chocolates are excellent, friendly and efficient staff.

"would you like to try our stronger tasting coffee"? When I said "yes please" I was charged another 50p and didnt see different beans used. In future preface your question with "For 50p EXTRA would you...". I felt ripped off

Its alright, nothing special. Was sad I didnt get my cream and little sweet with my Xmas drink but I will live.

Always go to Costa but today the lady serving was nothing short of rude. She got my order wrong and I said sorry you gave the wrong coffee which she replied no I never thats what you asked for. She gave me a coffee that I would never order as I dont like it. She kept on saying thats what you asked for... She said it about four times. Really unimpressed with the service this morning.

The staff are really nice and do an exceptional job. would definitely recommend and for any coffee or hot chocolate lovers. There is also good paninis and Toasties. Also a wide variety of tastie pastries

If I didnt like Costa coffee so much I would have given this a miss I place my order and after waiting and waiting I had to ask for my coffee and tea cake to be made again as there was a burnt cold tea cake and no coffee not the usual Costa standard and it wasnt really that busy with 6 staff very disappointed come on Newport take a leaf out of the Monmouth branch

Busy Saturday afternoon, but quick service, polite barista, very good coffee! She knew how to make cappuccino! Loved it! And clean floor and tables. Impressed ⭐👌💞

Food and drinks are well over priced, staff had a nightmare with our orders and the toilet facilities were awful. The nice thing was that that had seating outside

This is my favourite Costa, the staff again is very friendly and good. The coffee taste so much better than any other Costa. I guess it is the well trained caterers and the love and affection they show while making and serving... 😊

I generally find Costa one of the better coffee chains, but on this occasion I was less than impressed. The coffee was not really hot enough and not as strong as I would expect of a flat white. The toilets were out of order and the disabled toilet was in a poor state. The shop was not busy. I dont think Ill return here.

Rude staff, unclean cooking facilities and poor service. Staff take the order and forget to cook food, had to remind the team that Im waiting after 5-10 mins.When food does arrive its not thoroughly cooked and is smeared in other food (assuming from precious orders). No apologies from staff and to top it off my complaint of there appears to be some sort of garlic sauce on this tea cake was responded to with we dont have anything with garlic must be pesto. Made no effort to rectify or apologise, I had to ask for a replacement.Overall terrible. Avoid.

Feeling very sorry for the staff at this shop. Under staffed which meant trays of cups and food on 60% of the tables customers having to move it themselves. The two staff were lovely and its a shame costs cant have emergency floating staff to fill in the gaps.

Premises nice and light getting afternoon sun. Plenty of tables. Service a bit flat but efficient. Tables mostly cleared. Background music a bit loud.

The place was so messy, food all over the floor and used cups on every table! When you pay alot for coffee you expect a pleasant experience but this wasnt at all!

As I work for the NHS it would be nice to get a staff discount at Costa within the hospital. Theres a lot of places that have special offers for the blue light services. Unfortunately Costa isnt one of these companies.

Not the greatest taste coffee service good. Clearing of tables must be looked at by manager. Very slow or you have to clear your own. Prices are high

One of the better Costa in the area. The atmosphere manages to be chilled despite being busy. The management team seem to float about all the local branches, but I dont know what it is, this one brings out the best in them.

Great coffee - really needed too as woke up on New Years day to discover was out of coffee beans at home - argh! So Costa saved the day, phew! Decent coffee and friendly staff.

I would give it more but it is always freezing in there. The aircon runs all the time. You need a coat to sit in there winter and summer. I appreciate that they serve food but its too cold. There are no seats where you can escape the aircon.

Really nice coffee as you would expect a Costa yo have. Staff are really kind but it can fill up quickly due to its small size but all in all nice coffee shop.
