Outrageous prices. Quality of food has gone downhill. Salads have gotten smaller mushrooms are smaller steak wasnt any good prices for other steaks are outrageous places truly going downhill
I went to this place for the first time with my fiancé we came in a little late. Our server was terrible and treated us differently from her other table that was right behind us. When I ordered a glass of wine she was puzzled asked for my ID and examined it under the light above our heads !!! And then mistakenly told me the lobster tail was 45 dollars after 30 minutes she comes out and tells me it’s 70 I order a filet medium rare after that and it was the most rare steak I’ve ever seen in my life like it was pulled out the freezer. She then checked on the table behind us asking if everything is tasting well and if the steak is too rare offered them a refill on their margaritas and not once did she ask me and my fiancé any of these questions I still tipped well and didn’t make a scene to speak to a manager because it was 9. Absolutely worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my life.
I have ordered the lake perch several times , always delicious .. this time , this is NOT a lake perch you normally serve , and for almost $30 !! , and as I got carry out no tartar as well . The casserole potatoes should now be called garlic casserole potatoes cause that all you taste . So disappoint and won’t be ordering for awhile , and def NOT the new lake perch or whatever it is .
Very mediocre prime rib server didnt want to be there it was about 8;40 pm as we finished. There were plenty of other diners still there. But Our server had no interest in serving us. When I pay 100 dollars for dinner I should get good service and better than mediocre taste.
They have the best steaks!! We enjoyed our dinner here! The server was so very nice and answered any questions we had! So worth the money!
Very good food. Potato casserole awesome as always. Always visit when we visit Toledo
We had a family gathering with a large party of 15+ (originally 18people. Our family gathers every year in August celebrating our deceased fathers birthday. Cousinos was always one of his favorite restaurants. Initially we called 4 days in advance to make reservations but were disappointed. We were told that they could not take reservations for parties over 10. They DID allow us to make two separate reservations for two parties of 8 people which I feel was accomodating. At that time we were told we could not be out of our seats once seated. On the date of our reservation(s), I arrived an hour early of the scheduled time to make sure our tables were ready prior to everyones arrival. I waited about 30 minutes for them to figure out the seating arrangement, as there was some confusion. Apparently they arent supposed to reserve two separate reservations for large groups?? Once the tables were ready; pleasingly, there wasnt a wait for the rest of our group. Although, everyone got seated at different tables. We were again told we could not be out of our seats. As for seating, if they wanted us out of their way, They did have a nice area in the front with windows that had seperate tables that would have been a more private setting. They could have reserved those tables in that area. One of our family members arrived a little bit late. As they were greeting us and finding a seat, our server came out and reprimanded them. She told them they had to sit down and could not be out of their seat. On a positive note; the food was served hot, fresh, & great. The the waitress was attentive. However, the only other issue was that she collected everyones check (except mine). She cashed them out & they left, as I sat in an empty area for nearly 30 + minutes waiting for her to come back to cash me out. One of our family members eventually came back inside because they were waiting for us in the parking lot. They had to find our server and tell her we were still waiting. I have mixed feelings about this experience, the atmosphere was pleasingly quiet and again the food was served fresh, hot and tasted great. Although, other members of our party were pleased, because everything was taken care of prior to their arrival. I feel that it was not a great experience for me because I had to mediate everything and that factored into restrictions on seating, them forgetting me at cashout & that all compared to the price we paid. I feel that a smaller group size might have had a better overall experience. Unfortunately we will not be gathering there again.
Had a giant porterhouse it was amazing of course its pricey but very good food.
First time there and was great food and service, friendly staff. Couldnt have asked for a better experience loved the ambiance there .Thank you the wonderful women that continue run the show .I will be back for more hands down the best prime rib of all toledo.
Serving great food for decades.Corys Pan fried chicken is outstanding comfort food. The portions are quite generous.Drinks were fine as well.We have never left Cousinos disappointed.
The steak i got was 12 oz special and had o hunk of fat on it that was 3 or 4 oz and the potatoe casserole sucked i been going there since 1976 but now i will never return
My family has patronized this establish for over 50 years. In fact it was "Earls" back then and had yet to be remodeled. Also go back to days of the "Whitehouse" restaurant at Fassett and Miami. To the point, Cousinos has been slowly going downhill for several years which is truly unfortunate. This evening I took my Mother and Wife out to dinner to celebrate my wifes birthday. To summarize is the following:The buns were half baked and greasy. The potatoes and/or gravy were extremely salty. My wife wanted to split a steak with me so I ask for another plate but was told that it would cost me an additional $10.00 ! Seriously?Wait person had what most would consider a bad attitude. We were never ask if we would like desert.Im sorry to say that after decades of being a loyal customer I will no longer patronize this establishment.
Prime rib is A1! Dessert is as well. Waitress was awesome. Definitely recommend
Server was extremely helpful and friendly. She did her job perfectly. We had a larger party of eight. Food was ok. Of the four steaks that were ordered three were undercooked. They charge extra for bread after the first basket.
Farow Island Salmon pecan encrusted with Lemon Caper Sauce & roasted AsparagusEvery bite was perfection
Service was slow the double chicken sandwich was dry the bacon very chewy. The rest of our party said their food was good.
Big Italian twist on the traditional American meal. Big paved lot with many parking spaces. We were seated immediately and sat at a cozy table. Great floorplan with beautifully decorated rooms. Pan fried chicken was amazing, with healthy side portions. Wait staff was polite and gracious. The surrounding area was pretty bleak though. I told the server it was an appropriate place to meet my cousin, she said that it was pronounced Qua-zeen-os, lol.
Very very pricey!!! Food was good but expensive. The chocolate martinis I don’t recommend. You can’t split a meal without an overcharge.
Food and service was very good, this was our first time there, the place is very nice. The only complaint I have is the second bottle of wine we ordered was brought by another server & it was not the one we ordered, which I didnt catch, so we spent an extra $50 on it... So be careful with the wines, and know what you order and pay attention. $50 mistake, our bad...
Beware. Gnats all over food. Also $10 shared plate charge with no extras. Supposedly matching others but no one has one that high. Not even Mancy’s!!Food mediocre at best. Not worth prices.
Pricey. But it was decent food just not worth the price in my opinion went for mothers day and they kicked us out of the patio. Only way Ill go back is if family chooses if it were up to me I probably wouldnt go back
Old steakhouse atmosphere and the service is always great. Good is pretty good, but not quite 5 star.Never had anything bad.
Not the same old Cousins I remember. Service was a bit slow. Food was decent. Prices were considerably higher than I remember and portions are smaller. Ordered steak special ( their " specialty" it was fair. Highlight for me was the salad. Thankfully they didnt change their Ranch dressing.
Well it was our first time there last week...my boyfriend and I both got steak that had absolutely no seasoning, mine was a sirloin and his was a porterhouse steak that was over cooked ordered a medium and got well done, salad was horrific, way to much gravy on the mashed potatoes, only thing that was good was the ranch. We heard nothing but great things about this place and was extremely disappointed.
Were seven (7). The first time for (5of us. Christina, our server was great. The food as served was great. But it wasnt prepared as initially ordered. It was explained to us,, "the Chef refuses to do that."That was new for me. I requested Blue Cheese on top of my Strip Steak. "No. He wont do that. He will only put it on the side." I said; Im not asking him to eat it. I want him to make it. Not happening. Another in our party requested their Prime Rib to be heated a little on the grill before serving. Again, "the Chef wont do that." As stated. That was a first for me. A Chef refusing an order from a customer which isnt outside the bounds of a normal request. We took care of Christina. Christina took care of us.I know for certain (5of us wont be back.
Took my kids. 2 of the 4 meals were garbage. They did refund one of them. Our server was pretty good though. So were the 2 meals that werent screwed up.
It was great my dad and my husband and I ate there. We had liver and onions and house steak delicious the lady that took care of us was very nice
Phenomenal service and food. Steak cooked perfectly, the French onion soup and casserole potato we’re delicious! The casserole potato was a very original side dish, never had anything like it anywhere else. Staff was friendly and personable, I wish I remembered our waitress’ name so I could request her in the future.
Food / waitress was outstanding. Didn’t care too much for the table we were sat at, kind of awkward and in the way of everybody … anyway, the woman who seated me was freaking great looking and there seems to be a lot of eye candy in this place L O L. So if you’re into that…. This is a good restaurants.
Came in last night and boy they were slammed, initially we wanted to wait for a table but decided to sit and have full service at the bar instead and it was a great time. I don’t usually care to review places but everything was just such a good time, from the people greeting at the door to the bartender. Highly impressed:also it’s such cute place. It was dim but light with a lot of candles, it smelled delicious all through out the place, there were some fireplaces. It was just so cozy and relaxing. I would like to make this a place I come to as a regular
If you don’t have reservations, be prepared to wait. At least on a Saturday. Jam packed. Not a shocker though… great quality steak served with a smile. My wife mentioned how well put together the staff was including the little ladies up front. I noticed too. Kind and collect. Will be returning when back in town.Classy and vintage are words I would use to describe this place.
While I was a tad frustrated they told me over the phone they don’t do parties over 8, I still came in with just myself and one other and we had phenomenal experience! They are a small owned family ran business who tends to fill up very quickly so I can definitely understand why they don’t do too large of parties! It’s a very comfortable environment and the service and food was amazing. I had the unpleasantness of sitting next to a large group that was at the bar waiting for a table and made a scene when they were asked to leave (considering they were loud and rude i was relievednot sure exactly what unfolded but I like places that don’t allow that kind of drunk nonsense in a workplace for the sake of employees and guests!Everything from the drinks, salads and entrees were amazing. I will be back!!! Thanks cousinos for a delightful dinner. A+ for me.
This place has went down hill from the last time we were their and my dad ordered fish and was over done and my pasta was so soaked in lemon and garlic sauce couldn’t even barley eat it and I love lemon but this was way to much. They’ve changed their menu and I believe it’s worse now than it was. Steak and fish are still on the menu but they’ve taken away some of the food that I use to order. I loved their chicken Alfredo they had but no longer on menu. I don’t believe I’ll come back.
I ordered dinner to go on a Sunday for four. Two of us had salmon and two of other us had steaks. Every meal was cooked to perfection. The baked potatoes were huge. There was plenty for leftovers.
My wife and I have celebrated our anniversary for the last 4 yrs.Excellent food, excellent witresses/waiters and cooks. We look forward to it every year!
The roast beef was rather hard along with the order was missing my asparagus but had corn instead so maybe they were out and they didnt have my number. The steak was great I forgot to ask for A1 sauce. The casserole potatoes are as always delicious. Service was very polite and friendly.
Service was subpar from the beginning. Long wait time for a table. Almost 15 mins before a server offered us a drink. Not enough silverware for everybody at the table. Food was not cook to request. So really just an overpriced dinner. You will have a better experience at any Longhorn for way less money!
5 stars as always! Whether it is a party of 2, or a party of 26, it is always delicious and the waitress/waiter are always polite, knowledgeable of the menu and professional. If you havent been there in a while, its time to head there! Its mine and my dads favorite restaurant.
I have never experienced so awful service beforegoing out to eat . It took 20 minutes just to get greeted not to even take our drink orders , just for the waitress to let us know she will be with us in a few minutes. When she did finally arrive back we played our drink order and at that time we played our food order also . I order a steak with a baked potato and my husband also had a steak with a side of broccoli and added 2 lobster tails also to split . We waited over an hour for our food everyone around us that came in after us got there food . Our waitress never came back to check on us and never did refill our drinks . I eventually had to flag her down just to fill our drinks up once . And honestly for the price of the steak it sucked mine was so burn on top and so pink inside , I couldn’t say nothing because who knows if my steak would ever came back since I waited so long to begin with . Never again will we return . We will go elsewhere for the price we pay to get treated better
I just want to start by saying dont let the bad reviews push you away I almost let it stop me from going. We had reservations on New Years Eve , it was pretty busy and we still got seated instantly. Our waitress Jessica was pleasant and attentive the entire time ! Food was great, we started with the French onion soup and we also got a New York strip and the four cheese Mac. Salad was awesome as well . We got the shrimp linguine as well. it was fine, I will say if youre not a fan of a lemon I wouldnt order. Other than that great experience!
Very disappointed. Had reservation for tonight, after being seated, we waited 25 minutes before the server came to our table to even get our drink order, they did not appear overly busy, server was to worried about clearing dirty dishes off of a table then to greet us and take drink order, her tip reflected the type of service she provided. Since this was our first time here, we asked a couple questions about what comes with meals. She was very snippy and rude to the point when we were told they were out of prime rib and baked potatoes, she even took it to the next level to tell us we needed to come earlier if we expected to get prime rib. It took 1 hr and 10 minutes from the time we were seated to get our meals, there was only 2 of us. Half of the 12 oz steak was nothing but fat on both srwaks and the mashed potatoes tasted like an entire bottle of salt was poured in them then the gravy was cold it had a film over it. The appetizer was the better of everything. This is no quality steakhouse and your server was very rude and below standard for this type of establishment. I will not be back and do no recommend this restaurant to anyone that is hoping for a decent meal.
We went there to celebrate our 29th anniversary and every single dish was delicious and our server (Danawas excellent. Our appetizers and entrees had to have been brought out as soon as they were plated as they were very hot. Our steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were too full to get dessert while we were there, but we did get carry out to enjoy tomorrow :)Thank you Cousinos for a perfect anniversary dinner!
Service was excellent and so was the food. Only complaint was it could have been seasoned a bit more
The food was good. The mushrooms and onions were a little salty. The French onion soup was the highlight of the meal. The steak was overcooked a little bit. The shrimp were great. The server was a little on the unattentive side at the end. The prices are a little bit higher than most places. The smothered chicken was a little dry. The onion rings were top notch.
Wonderful service, generous portions, our guest from NY loved theirs. I just shouldve ordered better.
Havent been to good ol Cousinos in years but we went there for my husbands bday and it absolutely delightful!! Cant wait to go back with friends!! Service was great also!!
Delicious ribeye steak cooked perfectly along with great sides & rolls. Service was great. First time there & will be back again!
It was good, not great. Filet was tender, but lacked flavor, even after adding garlic butter on top.
Fabulous, great atmosphere, waitress was very knowledgeable. Food was delicious and my filet mignon melt in my mouth. Was my first time there, definitely will be back!😋
This was just one of the best steakhouses Ive been to in a long time not part of a chain the waitresses and staff were very attentive but not to the point where it was intrusive. So many steaks to choose from I want with the porterhouse next time I will try the New York both Untold are equally fantastic but as for the porterhouse I can attest to just how yummy it was!!
