Credit Union of America in Reno County

Absolutely love Credit Union of America. I just switched everything over from my other bank and Karla made it so easy!

I have been with the Hutchinson location since it was CKCU. CUA has been excellent, I just wish they would answer phones before 9 am.

Hannah, Ashley , and Pat are amazing! Wonderful addition to your company. You need more like them. What would make it better is purple pens that write 🟣 💜 purple. Thanks, Bev Johnson

I have once again been blown away by the customer service at Credit Union of America in Hutchinson! They go above and beyond for all of their clients needs! I have worked with Hannah Chaney now for almost a year and she has handled every request, question, etc. with 100% professionalism and has so much patience, I cant imagine working with any other institution! We had the privilege of getting to work with Chris Caddell at Credit Union of America. He was so helpful! He went above and beyond getting us our car loan approved within minutes, and taking the extra effort to have loan officers look into getting us a longer term loan that made our car more affordable to us! Chris was great. CUA gave us a great rate and was able to get us approved within 30 minutes. It saved us a lot of money to finance our car with them versus going through the dealership.

I called Chris at the Hutchinson Credit of America branch. I told him I would like to refi my loan from another local institution. Overall experience spot on how to percent friendly and cooperative the only issue I was preapproved for a certain amount and when I actually found her looking for I asked for a pacific amount and they gave the loan for the preapproved amount which is a great bank great people skills so I just stash some money to help make a lump sum payment

I called a Wichita branch number, but was directed to Chris at the Hutchinson branch. While this would normally annoy me, today, it was such a pleasant surprise. Chris was so upbeat, polite, charming, and helpful! He offered to call me back instead of making me wait on hold for him to get ahold of the other branch, but got back to me in minutes with a solution to my problem. He went above and beyond to make sure my questions were answered. Such a great way to start my day ! Thanks Chris!

We recently switch from another Credit Union and couldn’t be happier! We have had great customer service and help! The only thing I would wish for would be more staff in the lobby. But that could have just been the times I have went in (around lunch hours).

The worst customer service experience I have ever had with a bank. I spent over a decade with CKCU without a single issue and have had nothing but problems since CUofA took over! I couldnt be happier to close my accounts at this place.

I had been with CKCU since 2007 when I purchased my very first car and have been with them since. My husband and I have had multiple car loans and several other types of loans. So I had been with them for 12 years and my husband for 10 years. Several months ago we purchased a new family vehicle, financing through them. That was our first vehicle since they changed to CUA. My husband has gotten a new job in the last month and it is a 45 minute drive. We wanted to get him a decent work car and tried to get a preapproval through them. We were denied due to my husband not having a long enough job history, even though his previous job he was with for 7 years. We also got denied because we didnt have a long enough payment history on our new family vehicle. Being quite aggravated, I called the man who sent the denial email. I told him about my husband changing jobs and why we needed a work car. I told him about our new car purchased several months ago. He just said "give it another 6 to 8 months and try again." He also questioned if I was working and insinuated that he just drive my car since I dont work and stay at home with my 3 kids. We also have an older Chevy truck but thats obviously a gas hog. I told him that I thought it was ridiculous that 12 years of business doesnt mean anything and we were going to try a different bank. All he had to say was "fair enough." We then went to Heartland Credit Union and were approved the same day. My husband now has a nice work car and we even switched our family vehicle over to them. CUA let a loyal customer go like it meant nothing. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. Weve dealt with nothing but rudeness since they changed. When dealing with loans you dont speak to anyone at the Hutchinson branch, its always someone from Wichita. Its not the same local friendliness like when it was CKCU. I would not recommend anyone joining or doing business with CUA.

Should have negative rating of stars. These people are idiots.Addition: notice the only good reviews are from when it was ckcu. Cua is an absolute joke. Nothing but issues since the buy out. Terrible staff management/training/mentoring, terrible management in general. Thats a 1 star review average with many wishing to give it a worse rating than that. Steer clear unless you like banking with people that argue with you, dont listen to you, dont fallow your requests, are rude, never have management on hand, and are incompetent of handling payments.

Cant get anyone to answer phone on hold for TEN MINUTES 2 PM Wednesday site says not that busy.

Awful service and expensive fees. This is more like a bank that robs from its members, and not much like a credit union that watches out for members. Ill be switching very soon. I just have to get all of my accounts ready for a change. Direct deposit and everything. This is a massive pain, but necessary since they bought out my credit union. I would highly suggest going somewhere else.

Ive dealt with this CUA branch multiple times since its opening and the one constant has been rude staff. Never had this issue at any of the Wichita/Goddard locations.Tip: Familiarize yourself with other local NCUA affiliates and their no-fee ATMs.
