Very pretty, nice place to hike
We visit here a couple times a year to go-to the Fellure and Sheets Cemeteries. The roads are well maintained and you just cant beat the views. Weve seen turkey at the Sheets Cemetery most recently and even a bear passing across the road! We could spend hours here.

Нормально. Но далеко ;)
Crown City Wildlife Area is about 11,000 acres bordering Lawrence and Gallia Counties. There are a number of state roads that are close to the area so it is easy to access plus there is a network of gravel roads that run over the wildlife area. Best to print a map of the area on line and take along. This is a birders paradise, especially in the winter months, as the short-eared owls come from the north to hunt, along with the Northern Harriers and in the summer the Blue Grosbeak, Henslows Sparrow, Dickcissel, Indigo Bunting, Eastern Meadowlark and much more. The area is fairly flat with rolling hills covered in grass with sporadic trees. At the far edges there is forestland. There are ponds where water birds can be found, interesting plants, beaver, white-tailed deer, quail, and more. Nice place to drive out and take a lunch, set along the access roads with binoculars and watch birds! The area is close to the Wayne National Forest, the Dean State Forest and the Cooper Hollow Wildlife Area. Gallipolis has an outstanding county park, beautiful farmland and from their historic cemetery one can oversee the Ohio River Valley -- spectacular!
