Cubby's in Utah County

Nearly empty restaurant but waited almost 15 min for our order. 3 cheese grilled cheese was not worth the $12 price: small, dry, flavorless. Tri-tip used to be more tender, but it was also dry tonight (salad). At least the rosemary fries tasted alright.

The Dragonslayer Burger was WOW! Instead of the Buffalo sauce, I had mayo. It was terrific!The rosemary fries were a little dried out. Atmosphere was great. Not overly loud. Clean restrooms.

Cubby’s! What happened? I love your food so much, but it’s started to be a headache eating there. Without fail, every single time our order is wrong. The last time we went it took close to 40 minutes and 3 “new” sandwiches before we could leave with our food. We’ve even had to drive back to get our food fixed from a pick up order.Come on Cubby’s! We love you! But for the price and quality of food, the service has been sub par.

First time I have eaten here. Very happy with the food! A little bit more $ than I normally spend for a burger but worth it!

Walked right in, order was brought to us in a timely manner. Food was great, place was not busy.

A friend and I stopped here after a job in Saratoga springs. The food was good but the issue I have is we both ordered the same sandwich (Houdiniwhich was very good, water to drink and my friend also ordered rosemary fries. We got our burgers but no fries for my friend. He was on the phone with a hotel in Price so I asked about his fries. The server left came back and said he didn’t order fries. I was standing there when he ordered and paid which his total was about $4.00 more than mine. The young man said he’d check again and never returned. I went to the counter and asked again he checked his computer again said He didn’t order any fries, so a bit more sternly I said why was his about $4.00 more than mine then, AND I heard him order them. He acted like I was trying to get some free fries and at 66 and 67 years old We don’t need to try to cheat someone out of a simple order of fries. Finally he got a gentleman I assume a manager that came to the counter he got two fries from the rack I said no sir just one order is all he ordered. Food was very good but seriously all the hard nose fuss over an order of fries!

Cubby’s was a great experience. The meat was nice and tender, along with some soft fluffy buns. The sauce is what sold it for me though, the classic fry sauce is what I enjoyed the most. Disclaimer though, it can get a little pricy. For a man as fat as me, you can’t get away with ordering just one burger…. And after ordering two you might be in credit card debt, but totally worth it. For sure will be returning for that meat!

The food was delicious & the service was good. However, I am giving four stars because I was surprised by the small portion sizes. I feel for the price there should be bigger portions.

Don’t come here. Person taking orders was rude and couldn’t even answer basic questions. Food might have been good if the fries weren’t soggy and burger wasn’t undercooked. Would’ve taken it back but it took too long to get it in the first place. Waste of time and money, go somewhere else.

Sigh. I really hate giving such a low rating....Weve been here twice and both times it was horrible. Lets go into detail:The staffThe customer experience was horrendous, the staff was rude and mocked us when we asked about our food. The girl we asked turned around, right after we talked to her and repeated what we said mockingly to her friends and rolled her eyes. There were 10 employees working, with food sitting under the warmer for much longer than it should have. Most of the employees werent doing anything, some on their phones, others just to engaged in conversation with each other to care about what they were doing.The foodWe paid over $40 for 2 people (price gouging at its finest). The burgers were dry. The buns soggy (weird, huh?). The shakes were the consistency of milk -- as if they threw a few strawberries/blueberries in with the milk and called it a shake. The fries were cold and had been sitting out the entire time we were there. We waited 45 minutes for take out when there were only a few people there as customers. The fruit cup in the kids meal was inedible, the fruit looked like it had sat out all day. They never gave us the drink for the kids meal either.For over $40+tip, its absolutely ridiculous that this happened. We love cubbys, we frequent the Provo one. There was no adult working there that we could see, which easily could have accounted for some of the slowness, but we should not have had to wait for 45 minutes with how many people were working vs customers.I highly doubt we will be coming back to this location again since weve had terrible experiences twice. I do not recommend this location at all.

Good sandwiches and salads. My favorite is the Tri-Tip El Caliente (sandwichw/ Buffalo Blue Cheese fries.

This was my first time visiting Cubbys. I liked the menu being posted before the cashier. But the menu was so far away and the wait in line was so long that by the time I got to the cashier I couldnt remember what I wanted. I ordered a tri-tip sandwich and a drink. I really wasnt sure what to expect. So, it was okay. I was shocked at the price. May just be me.

Sssssllllloooooowwwwwwww af! Bread is hard. Absolutely is not worth the wait. How does this place stay in business?? I will never return here again. A disgrace.

Great sandwiches and burgers in a slightly upscale environment. Food can take a few extra minutes but always freshly made. Chicken sandwich is always excellent

The taste of the food is good, but the portion size for the price is just not worth it. My wife got a half salad and it was a toddler portion and the kids meals came with a small sandwich, like a single apple slice, and 3 grapes for like $6 lol. We felt like we had to eat somewhere else after and we are not big eaters.

I love cubbies food but their takeout is horrible! This is the second time I’ve picked up food and gotten home and they have left out portions of my order. The first time they offered to refund my money but never did. This time I can’t even get anybody to answer the phone. Do not order online from these people!

I spent $35 for two burgers and one thing of French fries and two drinks. That seems a bit too much for this type of place. The food was good but I think its a bit pricy. It does have gluten free buns, not sure if there is cross contamination issues or not. It could be a product of shrinkage.....

We enjoyed it here. My favorite thing was the buffalo fries with blue cheese. Also really liked the tri tip sandwich. I got the spicy bbq sauce but also got some mustard bbq in the side and kinda drizzled it over the sandwich. Tasty! Others in the party got the Cockadoodledoo chicken sandwich and enjoyed it.

Meh. Sweet potato fries are good but I’ve had a few of their sandwiches and they are quite bland. They use quality ingredients but still manage to make them flavorless.*Note: I have eaten there a few times pre-Covid so I know that wasn’t affecting my taste buds. I did notice on the last visit that the aoli sauce was watered down and the meat was undercooked.

I love Cubbys. So happy their Spring Salads are back! The Chicken salad with berries and oats is my favorite, and the sweat potato fries are THE BEST you can find. Get the maple dip too, its so yummy.Grateful for good food and gluten free options!

Wonderful food and very kind staff. Sadly understaffed but the service was amazing and timely with everything taken into account.

Not really good, not really bad. Some dishes didn’t hit the mark (the kids mac’n cheese and grilled cheese sandwich). Tri-tip sandwich was meh. Lemon chicken salad was nice. Cheeseburger was ok. Wasn’t worth the $60 (plus tipthat we have spent there.

We ordered two tri-tip sandwiches. One we upgraded to cali-style and asked for the mustard on the side. When we got home, we discovered that there was no sauce at all on the sandwiches and no sauce to put on ourselves. The cali style didn’t include the avocado. Complete waste of money. We waited for a very long time for our food too. What a disappointment.

Have eaten at Cubby’s in Provo and American Fork and always enjoyed the Tri-tip steak salad. Told my parents what a good salad it was, so we ordered 3 steak salads. We opened our salads and mine had less than half the amount of steak than the other two, so I called the server over to show him. He agreed and said he would get me some more steak. While I was waiting I mixed in the dressing and then a young lady came out and told me there was no more steak and that they had run out halfway through making my salad! I asked why they hadn’t just come and told me so that I could order something else. I then asked if I could just be charged for half a salad and she said no because I had already paid for it and it couldn’t be changed and asked me if I wanted anything else. I said no and she almost expected that I should just accept the salad that she had given me. I told her I wanted a refund. She seemed extremely annoyed but said yes and took away the salad. After a while I went up and asked if they needed my card to do the refund and she very sulkily told me she had already refunded me. I asked for the receipt and she said she couldn’t print it. I then asked how I was supposed to know that she had refunded me. Again she very rudely asked if I wanted her to prove it to me and I said yes. She then swung the screen around and showed me. There was no apology, nothing. Just rude looks from all the staff as though I had caused a problem. Plus the other two salads were nothing like the ones I have had previously. A lot of lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes and peppers and virtually no feta cheese at all. I will not be back and nor will my family. My mother commented that we would have got a better salad elsewhere.

EDIT: Upped my review to 3/5 stars because I received a refund for the avocado toast. Will be returning back to see if I can get it made properly.What’s tough is I’ve been a Cubby’s fan for a long time. This breakfast experience was really bad. I honestly can’t tell whether I just got unlucky or whether I got ripped off? I like the chicken sandwich and burgers here.I’d like my money back for my avocado toast and breakfast burrito. The pancakes were good.Below is the avocado toast I paid $6.79 plus tax for, as well as what was shown in the pictures on their menu. I’ve liked Cubby’s, but this is verging on a scam. If I hadn’t gotten take-out, I would have gone up to the counter and asked for my money back. Seriously, though. Did I just get a bad order? Or is this whole breakfast a money pit? I welcome a response.The burrito - which I don’t have a picture for, was fine, but they left out the bacon and it was nothing special. Not worth $10.The pancakes are the reason this review isn’t one star. The banana nut pancakes with cream cheese were tasty. Not enough syrup? Yes. Three huge pancakes with one small container of syrup? There’s a meal doomed for disappointment after 4-5 bites.

Just terrible. Second time in a row I’ve ordered pickup and they’ve put onions on my sandwich. I’m allergic to onions so now my sandwich is inedible by me. They didn’t get the sauce right again on the sandwich and this time, put my mustard bbq sauce in a to-go fry container, instead of maple for my MAPLE FRIES. You can see the order details. Can you just read the order and get it right? This place used to be so good.

Great food, an efficient staff that although noted as understaffed, comes through in good time and well poised. Thank you for a great first experience on my birthday!

Kids meal is giant rip off. $6 and you get a 3 inch quesadilla, one apple slice and three grapes!?!?

This was Not good at all. Those buffalo fries were horrible! Weird sauce weird result. Just not executed well at all. The description was way better than the taste. The burgers were dry and bland. If you don’t care what you eat or how it taste this is a great spot. But if you’re out for taste not it. And what are people doing when the allow their staff to run around flipping off their friends in front of young children? Tacky.

Food is really good, but the service was extremely slow. We ordered a burger, two fries, and a milkshake. They said it would take about 20 mins. After about 45 we had to go up and ask for it. We ended up leaving without the milkshake we had paid for because we had to be somewhere else. All I can say is dont go at dinner time, at least until they get enough staff to manage the volume of customers they have.

I wanted to try this place, and I dont mean to be a Grinch. But, customer service was not on the ball. I waited 20 minutes at table, and finally the waitress threw down my burger on the table and said "there you go" and walked off....I took my burger home twenty dollars later and ate it cold. There you go...2 stars

I was craving a good cheeseburger so I decided to splurge on Cubbys. It was $16 for a burger and sweet potato fries so I expected it to be really delicious. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The fries were barely warm, the burger was missing ingredients, and I could only eat the edges because the inside of the patty was bright red. The fry sauce is good and the employees were nice but I dont see myself ever going back.

First time trying Cubbys and Im not impressed. Not only did my order get messed up but I stood there for 20 minutes waiting for one burger and a kids Mac n cheese on a not busy day. There were four employees and they were all very relaxed. Im glad the employees werent over rushed and run ragged however it would be nice if theyd focus a bit more on getting orders out on time. Overall the food seems decent.

Great tasting meat in there burgers, the #Dragonslayer is a great burger. The #BuffaloBleuCheeseFries are tasteful as well (if your a fan of blue cheese)

Love the idea, but it falls flat. I really wanted to like it because I dont really eat out often and choose carefully when I do. Its hard to tell from the menu and employees dont really even know, what things are organic, just the lettuce i guess? Spent over $40 for 2 small sandwiches, 1 decent sized burger, a cup of soup(might be organic?and 1 order of fries, no drinks. The sandwiches and burgers are all $8+ and dont even come with fries for that price. Got my husband the tri tip sandwich but it was so small, even a child would be hungry still. Im a 52 woman and thats my small hand with the sandwich i got my husband 🤦. I understand that quality products cost more but i honestly dont see it here. If we had ordered fries and drinks for everyone it would have cost about $18 per person. At that price point per person you can eat at a nice restaurant and at least not be hungry still. Funny because part of the mission statement is "eating at your favorite restaurant should be affordable".The taste and quantity is just not there for the price.

New breakfast menu is a great idea. We like French toast and the breakfast burritos the best. Avocado toast and eggs looked great too!

I have been to Cubbys around Utah Valley probably around 15 times. Not once has my experience been good. Usually I wait around 30 minutes for my food, which would be fine if the order was correct. But it never is. There is a 50/50 chance your order will be messed up.This time, we went for breakfast to get some pancakes. They didnt have pancakes. So I ordered the breakfast burrito, on which they were out of black beans.Once we get I food, I take a few bites and realize that they left the bacon out of my burrito. So I go and ask for it and they give me a single peice on the side.For $10, this is a rip off.

Im really confused as to what all the rage is. I was ultimately unimpressed with the limited vegetarian options and the overall expense. No sandwich comes in a meal, so plan on spending $6+ for a side and drink. The sandwiches are tiny, not just small. I ordered the black bean burger and it had the texture of paste/mashed potatoes and lacked any real flavor or wow factor. They try to use local, organic, seasonal produce and fresh, never frozen meat. I applaud them in their efforts. It just seemed like to little for too much and a lot of effort with very little accomplishment. For me, been there, done that, dont need to ever go back.

We love Cubby’s! It reminds us of the Jazz games we would attend as this was our eating spot at Vivint arena. The Buffalo blu cheese fries are my favorite but you can’t go wrong with any option. For healthy eaters salad options are available, and for meat eaters enjoy many different options!Love eating at Cubby’s and plan on going back again soon.

I should have read the reviews before eating. BEWARE....NOT THE SAME FOOD AND SERVICE AS BEFORE!!! Lots of 1 star reviews!!!Cubby’s has been a go to for me and my friends. Ate there tonight and it will probably be my last. Service is slow. Items missing on one of the sandwiches ordered. I spent $6 on a very small hamburger (w/o friesand my friend commented that it was smaller than McDonald’s burgers. She didn’t think it looked like there were any toppings so I took the top bun off only to see the patty only covered about half of the small bun. Definitely not worth going back. There are better places to spend my $$$ in Spanish Fork.

45 minutes of waiting. Wrong food. When it finally arrived was sad and pathetic. Decided to eat here and got in line at 6 pm for 5 adults family. They were busy but has never taken this long or had this bad of an experience. It took 30 minutes until we got some food, they gave us a bag that was incorrect and someone elses food. Talked to them and 15 min later got our food. Salads were pitiful, half full from the normal times we order food, frie pouches were half empty instead of normally overflowing and the tacos we ordered had hardly any meat. We told them about the lack of food and they said thats the normal, its not, we have gotten Cubbys several times from other locations and it has never been this bad. It took too long for too little. I dont recommend this location. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR REAL FOOD AND SERVICE!

My family and I visited this store tonight and we had a bad experience with the food. We requested a to go order. None of our hamburguers had cheese, we requested only one with no cheese. We could not find the avocado in one of our hamburguers and they gave us beef instead of chicken. Plus their almost $4 bag of sweet potatoes chips were burn! We also waited a long time for the order. My first and last time at cubbys. I feel ripped off.

The Gypsy burger was really good, and the Rosemary fries and Hucklala shake were really good too! Kinda pricey, but the food is unique enough to make up for it. The staff was friendly and I got my food pretty quickly

Normally I love this place but the last two times I’ve been here they’ve totally messed up my order. Last time, they gave my wife a burger that was only browned with the center being completely raw.This time my son ordered a T-Rex burger, which is a kids meal, he asked for American cheese and they put feta cheese on instead. It took 7 minutes to get a new one. My wife told them her experience from last time and specifically asked for her burger to be well done but when she got it, again, it was completely raw on the inside. After 10 minutes of waiting, my wife had lost her appetite so she went up to cancel the order and get refunded. They refunded 2 burgers and my wife left dissatisfied.My burger was edible but was more on the red side as well.I don’t know what’s going on with this restaurant. We’ve always loved Cubby’s but it has gone down hill recently. There was no one in line behind us, so they had no reason to be rushing to cook our burgers. Even then, that wouldn’t be an excuse. I am very disappointed and won’t be returning any time soon!!

My wife thought shed surprise me at work with a delivered lunch today. The door dash lady was great and the fries were delicious, but this burger is basically raw meat that just barely got exposed to the grill. Its even still cold on the inside. Too bad I swallowed the first bite before looking at it wondering why it was cold as I was chewing the second one. Disgusting.

Im quite disappointed. Ive eaten here a few times because those Im with enjoy the food, but almost every time I eat at Cubbys I leave feeling hungry/unsatisfied. My last visit was a tipping point - the (picturedQuinoa Side Salad with some added tri-tip cost just under $9 and was about half the size of one of the water cups. I thought surely it was a mistake and the salad provided was the less expensive "cup" instead of the "bowl" that had been ordered, but after double checking with the employees I was assured that what I was holding in the palm of my hand was, in fact, the bowl. So... one healthy appetizer-size portion later, we left. Other times Ive ordered the burgers and theyre good, but for $10 itd be nice if it at least came with some fries. Alas, not here.

This was my first trip and I will definitely be back again. I ordered the Bacon and Bleu tri-tip sandwich and the maple glazed sweet potato fries. Those fries are probably one of the best things Ive ever eaten!

Cubby’s is. Fantastic! Cubby’s concept is healthy organic standards married with ample proteins like tri-tip steak. Their burgers and sandwiches are generously sized yet cage-free with fresh veggie toppings. Yet they also have amazing huge salad bowls, veg/vegan options. You get the best of both worlds.Try the rosemary fries. I also personally love their huckleberry dark chocolate shake.Local chain. Counter-serve atmosphere. Outlets along the benches to plug in. Minimalist decor. Tons of parking.

This was only my second time visiting Cubby’s and I really only came back because I had a gift card. The first time I visited I ordered the black bean burger and was really disappointed. It was dry and not much flavor. This time I ordered the Houdini beef burger. It was much better. Both times I ordered their sweet potato fries and both times I think they were the best part. Really my biggest complaint is the price but if that’s not a big concern for you then it’s a decent place to eat.
