The Daffodil is a fabulous place, the food, drinks and service are great. The staff are fab and make you feel incredibly welcome. Nothing is to much trouble at all.From the moment you turn up its such a relaxed atmosphere, take a seat, chill out, have you order taken and sit and relax and chat with friends.5 star every time 👍🏼

Welcomed with a smile and as I was close to opening time 🤣. A great chat with staff throughout our time there.Two full Englishs, beautiful served to our liking ( one of us has allergys). Their taste was great and the sausages were amazing.Information was given that they also do themed evenings. I look forward to joining you on one of these.

First time visit but wont be the last. Service first class and food fresh and tasted great. The only thing I found I didnt care for was the very loud music.

Slow service (45 mins for tea and a sconeand unfortunately no apology or acknowledgement other than "were busy"---------------Wow, just read the rather fabricated and overblown attack reply to my simple and factual review.Simple facts, it took a long time, and staff didnt take time to acknowledge that or apologize. If they had, it would have been fine.Thats disappointing customer service in anyones book, and an opportunity to improve (which is what the feedback is for). Not really a massive big deal though.For the record, I think you may have mistaken me for a different customer if you think I was "Kurt". I didnt raise my voice or act in any way inappropriately. Please dont make accusations, its not good to attack customers when they are just sharing an opinion.Suggest you just accept that you dont always please everyone and if you dont want the feedback, then turn off the feature.The scone was ok. Thanks.

Excellent friendly service, great place to stop for breakfast

Lovely selection of cake although the team may need a little more knowledge on what theyre serving/ allergens. When asked do you have any dairy free cakes we were looked at rather blankly and told that they didnt think so despite multiple vegan/ dairy free options in the cabinet. Selection of different plant milks offered too. Disappointing americano with too much water personally but generally 200 degrees coffee isnt particularly good.Would return for the cake selection

We visited today for first time for breakfast.Our waiter was very polite and pleasant and patient as we made changes and additions to our order. However the additional French toast we ordered didnt arrive .and the sauted potatoes were not available. The wait time for food was quite long too. On arrival of breakfast the mushrooms and black pudding were cold.The bacon was hard .I ordered avocado and eggs .this was bland and tasteless.taste was

Big, big thank you to The Daffodil Tearoom for sorting out some very last minute breakfast items for our work meeting today, after another business (Sister Snacks, New Ollertonlet us down with no notice.

We booked a table to meet friends and it worked out really well; great people, great service and great food. This was our second visit and the previous time, it was really busy. So we were glad that we made a booking and we sat upstairs which is a really good place to chat. I had the quiche and my wife had a sandwich made with really tasty bread; we would definitely recommend.

A mixed experience! When up to 20 cyclists turn up it will be a challenge for any eating establishment. And....cyclists can have particular needs - served quickly, serve hot food. The experience yesterday, was unfortunate: The staff appeared overrun and flustered. The outdoor seating is great for cyclists when the sun is out - but otherwise - and without being gross - sweat accumulated in their clothing cools them down rapidly!! I digess.The ordering process was haphazard - order at the desk or order from the table. That seemed to change twice for different tables. Paying at the till first or getting a unique order number regardless of table number would be better (in fact the table number wasnt on the table). That way, the individuals per table get their own bill. Frequently, a table of 6 would be 6 different payment methods.The menu choices - as a vegartian was very limited - however a bespoke made on request cheese and tomato sandwich was delicious. The swop over between breakfast and lunch menus threw a loop for some and they were all ready to "up sticks" and go to the nearby pub! The primary faux pas was the lack of hot food at "lunch" for many.Most fellow cyclists and cycling clubs know the good cafes in the wider Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire areas and they become well known and as such good reputations are built and go far. Many times ride routes are planned to stop at specific cafes. Likewise, unfortunately some cafes are avoided for poor service and attitudes towards cyclists.As a group going to cafes; cyclists can spend often up £10 per head, arrive in large numbers and dont hang around too long. They are an ideal group to cater for. Many cafe estanlishments well used in the local area - actively support and encourage us as a group with bike stands, advertising cycling clubs with jerseys on their walls and even one has its own cycling club and jersey attached to it!Your cafe has the potential to be a great stop - large interior and courtyard etc.More than happy to talk through, any ideas and experiences. Absolutely fantastic tearoom. We havent been before, so decided to go for my birthday. We had the full English breakfast. We couldnt fault it Absolutely delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back.

Food was excellent but be aware that only sandwiches are served after midday, this wasnt a problem, the sandwiches were that good. They seemed well able to cope with any dietary needs too. Staff warm and welcoming.

This was an unplanned stop, very glad we did. Lovely warm welcome to a clean and pretty cafe. Generous size sandwiches using locally sourced products. Excellent smooth coffee. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.

A chance find as we drove past but what a stroke of luck ... Excellent tea , coffee and cakes . The choice was so good we ended up having three . The staff were great , very friendly and happily gave advice on the local area . Highly recommended and will definitely be back..

This unassuming cafe is a hidden gem in Ealing. Fab food, service, quality theres no cutting corners here. A must for those seeking places of the beaten track.

First time here. Nice atmosphere, nice environment. But did take a while (15-20minsto take our order (at 3.00 in the afternoon, so not overly busy). Great cakes.

A small but very pleasant and clean café with both indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and helpful staff. Not many vegan options on the menu but most of their cakes were vegan.

Finally got around to having Breakfast at Daffodils Tea Room… Pleased we did… delightful staff… And exceptional service it’s a long time since we have experienced this …Met with Ross owner too and discussed arrangements for our cycling club Retford & District Wheelers to call in … Who was more than willing to receive us …Simple straight forward menu options… which included variations upon request…The quality of produce was outstanding…This place really does set the benchmark for others to aim for….Will use regularlyWell done to all…Great to have such quality on our doorstep

We had a fantastic experience at the Daffodil Tearoom. Visually, the tea room looked elegant and quirky combined with a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. The customer service was first class throughout. Myself and my wife ordered two hot drinks (Oatmilk de cafe latte and a Mochawhich were prepared to the highest standards with efficient timing. We also shared a scone and a roulade which were delightful. The scone was warm, soft and cooked to perfection. The roulade was light, airy, generous in size and also very tasty! Overall a 5 star experience and we will definitely be back soon.

Daffodil is like a home from home. Ive done studying quitletly upstairs, family time, tea, cake, lunch and dont even get me started on their amazing evening events! Amazing food and the most lovely people xxxx

Called in today as only live down the road to see what it was like. Ordered two cream teas and after 20 minutes two pots of tea arrived, 15 minutes later still no scones etc for our cream teas. By this time there was one other couple waiting outside as it was now twenty past two and not the usual lunchtime rush. I went inside to pay for the tea which we had already finished. When I asked about the scones I was told in a very offhand manner by I presume to be the owner, we’re busy! The waitress who took our order apologised for the poor service when the owner interrupted with ‘you are in the countryside’ I told him I live in the countryside and he said ‘well relax’. Having been in the hospitality industry for some years I have to say I found his attitude to be rude and condescending.

Went to the Daffodil team rooms with family and sat outside as it was a nice day,it was around 2pm and it was fairly quiet after the lunchtime rush.20 minutes later as nobody had come to take our order I went inside and asked if it was table service or did we have to order inside, to which a man said to me in a very kurt manner we’ll have somebody with you in a minute just be patient! As it’s been busy not impressed I told him we were the only people outside at the moment to which he replied AND!I promptly went outside and said to my family come on we are leaving got in our car and left never to return!

We attended the new menu/post covid reopening launch night on Friday and were blown away by the food. 3 of us shared the meat sharing platter, the vegetarian sharing platter, a chicken and chorizo pizza and a garlic bread. Every thing was high quality and really tasty. One thing that really stood out was the vegetarian Aubergine "Caviar"which we all fought over.In fact we were visiting our friend who lives in Eakring for the weekend, and we enjoyed Friday so much we went back for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Full english was also 10/10. Highly recommended.

Absolutely Beautiful its the first time we have been here and it definatly not be the last,We called at lunch time(Bank hol Mondaywe both had jacket potatoes my husband had a mocha and I had a hot chocwith cream. Everything was excellent. The young lady who took our order and then brought the food to the van was charming and very helpful along with the young man inside making the drinks who was also very welcoming to, to the lady who did the cooking who we didnt see but the jacket pots were great.All PPE followed excellent place if you are in the area then call in you not be disappointed.
