The ice cream treats were good and pup cup was generous. The disorganized staff was inefficient there was not a good flow as to service the customers. The drive thru lane was very narrow and hard to recognize at the very back of the property and with the parking lot layout makes for a situation that a few cars in drive thru causes parking lot jams.We decided to go in and carry out . I waited along side 6 other parties, our wait time was a bit long. They appeared to have two seasoned employees one doing drive thru and the other was cooking. The young man taking orders had to ask many questions as to where items on the register, he was unrolling coins for the cash drawer, all the while trying to take orders. He was inexperienced and made the first bad impression. The gal that made the ice cream treats had a difficult time organizing her thoughts and which orders were needed first. They had a large order as we were walking in so that contributed to additional wait time for customers and stress for an already inexperienced staff. The comments and attitudes of most of the staff was not pleasing nor polite. One young man helping in the kitchen had a strange hair style that allowed his hair to be all over the place..it should have been worn out up or under a cap.Our treats came after a 15 min wait in line.It wasnt the best service , the facilities needed a deep cleaning. They need batter training for the wait staff.
Took forever to take order and get our food. So much for fast food anymore
Good food, up and down service. Sometimes the employees are okay and sometimes you get attitude. They do their jobs though! Everyone has bad days!
Still love the food but the cleanliness of the place was not great this time.
The food was terrible and it took a solid 20 minutes to get our order which we only got after the young kid delivered it to the wrong table. The cooks there are terrible as well as management I don’t know how many idiots it takes to open a box. the counter girl was nice though as she had to do managements job of yelling at the cooks that their behavior was unacceptable. Which then we got to enjoy the staff cursing loud enough that we could hear it in the back of the dinning room.
Not good. Dining area was very hot. I came to cool off. Waited 30 mins for the wrong order. Maybe try again in another 10 years.
Took 45 minutes to get food! They completely forgot about my order and I had to go give them my receipt for them to make any of it
Worst Dairy Queen ever. Employees just stand and chat while you sit in the drive thru. Then they forgot my order.
Well it all depends on the day... I wouldnt recommend Sundays.... they goof around alot I ordered at 11:36 and its 11:51 now no food. I ordered a #1, lrg cheese curds, and a strawberry malt. Only thing I have is the malt.
Very disappointing. Doesnt seem like the staff is either trained well or coordinated very well. Lots of people running around.Up to a 15 minute wait with very few people in the lobby. Also, straw for a blizzard should have given it away. Yes, it was melted.
No gloves!! Ridiculous! I came in for shakes and had to wait and noticed that NO ONE in kitchen had their gloves on, they were touching food bare and touch their hair! I guess manager was back there doing the same!!!
They served us melted blizzards. They did not turn them upside down bc they would have been on the ground. It was literally like chocolate milk. I will not be going back here ever. I wish I could give it no stars.
Every time I get a blizzard here its sub par. Ice cream thats always slightly runny...very few toppings. The DQ on Etna is a much better choice.
Food and service average. Dining area dirty. No clean place to sit
Ordered a 6 pc tender & fries meal. Absolutely horrible. Tenders were hard as a rock as well were the freight. Also, ordered a blizzard and it was basically all liquid but outside of the reese‘s chunks.
This Dairy Queen used to be really fast and had good food. Last few times coming here, food was cold and got very little fries.
The Blizzard we ordered was only filled halfway with fudge and the fruit dip cone I ordered wasnt cold enough to let the dip harden. So I got a purple liquid melting vanilla cone.
Was not impressed with the 30 plus minute wait while in drive thru. Will not return to this location.
They just dont care if they get anything right. And if you complain they just act like its a inconvenience
It was a positive experience....food was good and ice-cream....the best soft serve
Me and my friends came here we had the best experience very fast service great excellent food very toasty to touch very fresh Love it blizzard is very good
Gave us the wrong blizzard but it didnt matter because it was pretty much pure vanilla with no candy. The other blizzard was complete liquid. When we called and complained they told us there was nothing they would do. Complete waste of time and money , will not be returning to this Dairy Queen.
Food was ok, but they took a long time to get it out to me....and still forgot my fries.
Waited in drive threw for over half hour. Finally got my blizzard. I ordered a size med it was only half full and it was the horrible tasting blizzard ever. Tasted freezer burnt. Horrible experience there today.
Either didnt include drink or didnt listen to instructions when chicken is supposed to be sauced and tossed you dont get it if you ask for no lettuce or tomato you still get
Great ice cream - wasnt aware that the kitchen closes over a half hour earlier than the whole restaurant closes. We got there well before closing time and could only order ice cream because the kitchen was closed.... ☹️☹️
I have only used the drive through at this location. The food is some of the best fast service food I have had. The service is usually pretty quick, however if there are more than three cars in line, probably should go somewhere else.
Twice in a row(probably within 1 week of each otherI went there about 30 minutes before they closed. Both times my food was wrong and fries hard and cold after having me pull forward and wait on my food(which didnt come out until they had literally shut off all the outside lights and closed. I understand it being the end of the night, but customers shouldnt be getting unsatisfactory food/service bc theyre ready to go, especially 30 minutes beforehand. My husband called and they did replace the order the next day.
Service was alright, but allowing employees to stand on a counter to fill the ice is disgusting. The counter was NOT wiped off and I was told to get my napkins from where her feet were.
Normally I’m obsessed with Dairy Queen’s food. Yes, it’s ran by teens and the supervisors never look that happy but the food is always good and service is decent. But today a friend of mine and myself went in for lunch and the cook brought me my friends food and then went to give it to me and I went to grab it but then he pulled it away from me and then went back to the kitchen. When he brought me my food you can tell he was eating back there because he had food in his mouth and on the corners of his lips, and the my friend got the 2 for 4 burgers and on was on its side and I got the 6pc chicken tenders and she said her burgers were cold and the bun was cold as well, they had maybe a pinch of fries in my box and they were hard and the bread was soggy from too much butter we both got large drinks and the filled it almost full of ice.
Every time I go to this place it is something different, employees are always rude and impatient, today I went and bought two blizzards it was $8.54 I gave her $20.55 she handed me 11.01 back (wrong but no problemwhen I point out the mistake, she argued with me and told me her calculator said 11… I said “ I handed you 20.55 and it was 8.54.. she told me once again her calculator said 11… the least they can do is make sure their cashiers can use a calculator.. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy.
This place was absolutely awful. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie toll house blizzard WITH CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM. Not only did I not receive my blizzard with VANILLA ice cream… IT WASN’T EVEN THE TOLL HOUSE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE. The very kind and respectful young lady at the window offered to replace my delectable dessert. but before she could request me a new one, a person showed up to say mine was made WITH CHOCOLATE. When it was clearly vanilla :( what a shame. Chocolate ice cream is life. (0/5)P.S. The cheese curds were burnt (2/5)P.S.S. They also wouldn’t give us what we ordered. Said we didn’t order waters and our whole meal which was CHICKEN TENDERS AND FRIES. How could they miss that :( (3/5)
Our fries werent done. But they made it right by getting us fresh ones. Rest of meal was good.
Food is good, but restaurant is mostly run by teens. Wait is usually much longer than necessary but the young kids working there are not busy & are just chatting. Teens can be great, hardworking employees - just not generally the ones here.
One of the worst DQs I’ve been to. Half the time they can’t hear what you’re saying through drive thru so you have to repeat yourself or they end up giving you the wrong food and don’t want to fix it. I ordered a royal Oreo blizzard the other day and there was no fudge It and when I asked she said well we ran out of fudge I meant to tell you. Staff is also really rude and cold when talking to you.
It’s never a good experience for us. Almost all the employees act like you’re bothering them when you order food. They never look you in the eyes when they talk and they never have a smile on their face. Food takes 30-45 minutes at least.
10 min for a couple burgers when they have no customers, then they dont even get them right lmao ill drive to ft Wayne next time. Update, the fact they think timeliness was the issue more so than the incorrect order is why I will never visit their store again.
Food is always messed up and the only option they give to fix it is to turn right back around and come straight back in to get what was originally ordered. I work and do not have time to go back and forth. So i will not be going here anymore. Ill stick with the small dq on etna that is better staffed more friendly and has better customer service. Update: Jan 16th 2021, why is it so difficult for you people to make 2 different kinds of burger? Is it that hard to remember onion and tomato on 2 and only ketchup pickle on the other? Still the worst DQ i have ever been to.
Stopped in for a quick bite. Masks "required". What a joke. Every last one of the 6 employees had their mask hanging down under their chin. I requested the employees making our food to put their masks on and they refused. Had 7 customers come in without masks standing within inches of each other. No covid precautions at all. Not to mention we waited 30 mins for our food. Not recommended!
Sternly asked is that all every single time I said a menu item. Had masks but werent wearing them. Told us to have a good day and had to remind them we ordered food. Then waited another 20 minutes for pretzels and fries. The cheese with the pretzels was nasty as hell. Idk what they did to it to make it look like that
THIS DQ IS HORRIBLE! I have had several long waits and several order screw ups over the past year. Most recently we ordered an ice cream cake and only the very center of it was chocolate ice cream with the fudge cookie crumble instead of the whole bottom layer like the picture showed. I contacted them about this and never heard back. My husband went tonight to get a blizzard for me and chicken strip basket for him. They were out of fries, gave him the blizzard and asked him to pull up and wait for the rest of the order. It was a long wait! By the time he got home the blizzard was half melted(we literally live 1 minute from DQand it wasn’t even the blizzard he ordered!
their were literally 10 cars in the drive thru and i got my blizzard and shakes quickly...they were really good and the girl at the window was very friendly. Pleased with the speed and quality of icecream! Great job DQ!
It was very Unprofessional people dancing and screaming in the drive thru. Our food came out cold barely room temp. The Blizzards were very sloppy and were never flipped upside down. It makes me not want to waste my time choosing DQ.
Not recommend. DQ is great, but not at this location because the service is far below par. Hot food served cold. Staff simply doesnt have any form of standard, everything behind the counter looks like a mess, two people in the same experience seemed agitated that they had to take my order. I have said multiple times I wont go back to this location and 4 out of the 5 times I do, Im reminded why I made that decision and leave wondering why I gave them another chance.
Went here for lunch and I received the wrong snack wrap and it was over cooked and had damn near nothing inside, my cheese curds were so over cooked that they were empty fried shells! The service was SLOW AF! It literally took 25 minutes to make get food. We ordered food and watched 3 different people order food through the drive through, 5 minutes after us, and receive theirs before us...HIGHLY dissatisfied and disappointed!! This place used to be my all time favorite place in Huntington to eat!! Get it together DQ!!! Seriously!! 😤
Our experience was awful! Tonight we game here and our order was incomplete we clearly stated that we wanted “one chicken strip meal with a Pepsi and a small blizzard and a hot fudge sundae. When we got our order they did not give us our sundae or our Receipt and our fries were cold and half frozen and the chicken strips tasted like dish soap. The gravy was also incredibly lumpy. This is overall the worst experience Here
Place sucks they gave me this gor an order of fries told me thats what distributors gave them to sell.. bs its the bottom of the bag will not go back
We do not normally stop into this DQ, simply because the place looks so dirty, and the ice cream wasnt great. My daughter was in town, so we stopped.Ice cream was a lot better than it had been in the past! Restaurant appeared a little cleaner. However, we noticed Christian music playing, and really thought that was very nice, creating a relaxing atmosphere (given the music choices played in the past).
Less than ten minutes after ordering my blizzard it was like a creamy soup. And, this was on a day that was at or below freezing outside! I know its soft serve but that was ridiculous. I was back at our home in fifteen minutes and had to put my dessert in the freezer for an hour before it turned back into something that resembled ice cream. This makes me think the food may be unsafe to eat if not stored at the proper temperature.
Used to be nasty. Stayed away for quite awhile. Returned today.....still nasty. Ordered a buster bar through the drive thru. The wrapper was all wet. The bust bar looked unidentifiable. Got a refund. Too bad this restaurant is so disgusting. Dairy Queen is a fun place to eat.
