Dane's crawfish and more in Jasper County

First time eating here...had cheeseburger and fries...it was so good

Stopped in for the fish plate and shrimp and ordered the 6 piece dinner to share with my husband. The fish was very gooey and small. It was like they took 3 pieces of fish and cut them down to make six. A couple pieces were the size of 2 chicken nuggets put together. They were definitely not 6 pieces of fish. . The shrimp,fries and coleslaw was very good. I am curious how big the fish is on the 3 piece dinner. I will revisit and order the 3 piece and write an updated review.

Fish mushy inside. Outside perfect. Shrimp and sides awesome. Great server.

First time to eat there was very good if you are passing through and hungry good place to eat they seafood and other great items didnt eat them all but looked good going to other tables

Service was good and the food was good. Price was fair but the portion size was a little small.

Awesome fried etouffee balls, the food was out in an expected time, hot & delicious, our service was as good as anyone can want, love the family friendly atmosphere.

I was heading home from work back to my wife and children that i hate. On that particular day i had decided to end my life by rope... but i was really hungry ao i decided to go to Danes. I got myself the catfish poboy and when I took a bite, a little faith in humanity came back to me. I decided life was still worth living thanks to Danes. Thank you Danes crawfish and more restaurant. Still hate my wife and children though.

Called and ordered 2 lbs Broiled Shrimp and Taters and Corn. Got there in 15 minutes, food was ready and hot. Seasoned just perfect. Priced more than reasonable. A very pleasant experience. Well go back.

In my opinion everything was a little too salty and the Crawfish were slightly overcooked....The Place was very clean very well-kept and friendly and was is a great location....

We have eaten here a few times. Always great food and great service. New favorite appetizer is the loaded potato bites.

Crawfish were full of dirt, baked fish not seasoned. Ordered a 3lbs crawfish, no napkins, no bucket for trash.

1st timers. Crawfish werent good, other food & appetizers were not flavorful, we had to keep looking for the waitress & asking her for stuff as in napkins while eating crawfish-refills-etc, i believe her name was paige, very rushy when coming to the table, i was looking at my menu & while looking she asked for it, & all over experience was awful. Worst 97 dollars spent. Wont be back.

Today, we tried the fried chicken and fish poboys. Both were excellent. I have a new favorite meal for this place.

Fresh food and prompt service. I would go back a second time the same day! I recommend this establishment and enjoyed my experience.

Went and got crawfish on a Saturday night. Let me just say they were some the best crawfish Ive had in a long time. Top 3. They peel so awesome. Not a dead one in all 15 lbs. The spice is absolutely perfect too. We also got 3 lbs of boiled shrimp which were also really good and just popped out the shell. And I dont know what they do to the fried pickles but I like it Picasso 😙👌 This dinner was definitely worth the money! Plus the deck was so nice to sit out on, on a nice spring night. Service was also really great. Kept our drinks full.

This is our first time here and we havent even ordered our entree yet but the etouffee balls with cheese are absolutely amazing. I couldnt even wait to receive my entree to give this place 5 stars. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

food is always 95% of the time really outstanding. I highly recommend it. today I got the 5 piece chicken strip French fries white gravy Texas toast. fried green beans. 2 links 4 boiled potatoes 2 corn 4 shrimp. added pink sauce butter cocktail sauce salt .. got back to my shop. no napkins no cutlery no salt and no sauces which I paid for . total cost of bill $40. I went back to get my sauce and was scrutinize like I lied. plus not everyone that does pick up goes home give them napkins and fork. come on youre making a killing. oh by the way the sweet tea is amazing. check your bag before you leave though..

Our waitress was very nice. Fried green beans and pickles were really good. But the crawfish were soooo small that over 2 dozen were trashed. $40 for 5 lbs and we threw about a third out. They tasted great, but were the smallest Ive ever seen. Very disappointing.

Crawfish was flavorful and good sized. Service was top notch as well. Excellent place to eat in a small town.

Food was good. We had ordered a dozen oysters and some shrimp PO’boys. Food came out good and on time. Could go for more shrimp in the PO’boys

Stopped in for lunch. Had the BBQ blue crabs. They were good and surprisingly filling. We split a plate of 6 crabs.

Sometimes you make a random decision that turns out to life-altering. Me whipping the truck in the turn lane to grab some food at Dane’s while passing through Kirbyville was one of those times. I have never eaten there before.I ordered up the food and went thru it like my Hemi thru a tank of gas.Coleslaw, fried catfish, fried shrimp, French fries and hush puppies. (Clearly not the food on the cardiologist list of demands). Everything…even the tartar sauce was exactly what it was supposed to taste like. Soooo good! I could have ate a hush puppy the size of a cantaloupe if it tasted like those that came with my food. The staff is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu items.Absolutely amazing stuff. I will most certainly find myself haphazardly “passing through” Kirbyville to come here again!Thanks, Dane’s!

Really good food! So nice to go to a restaurant that is not afraid to use seasoning on their food. We have the fried shrimp and fish and that 1 meal fed 2 people it was so big. Our friends had the grilled fish and shrimp over rice with the spicy red sauce and let me tell you.. It was all amazing! We will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been many places throughout the USA but Dane’s is by far my new favorite Cajun/Fish/Seafood. I will continue to happily drive out of my way for their great food and service!

Do NOT go here to eat unless you want to get a swoll belly on absolutely delicious food. The 1 star is to get your attention. This place is great, so worth the money. Fish, shrimp and onion rings are BUSSIN BUSSIN. A definite must try, it will not disappoint.

Danes has really good cheeseburgers. Everytime we are in the area we stop for a burger and corn nuggets. They make their patties fresh daily and their corn nuggets are homemade also. I dont eat seafood but it smells good and a friend of mine says its great seafood. The employees are super friendly. We have never had bad service. If you want great food from great people, stop by Danes!

Today was our first but, not our the last. Food was excellent and the server took great care of us. If she had a name tag I missed it. Her customer service was top shelf. Next visit will be real soon. Even if its an hour and a half drive for us.

Watch out Jennys Fried Chicken!!! You have some real competition in town now!!! The food is definitely better, although Jennys has good food and great service. The parking lot stays packed and this is probably the best place in Kirbyville to eat. Ive heard great things about it. Last night my wife and I tried the fish and shrimp plate. Its the best fried shrimp/catfish Ive had besides The Aquarium in Houston and maybe the old Catfish Cabin in Jasper.

Great food, good people, but there was a slight discomfort out 3 pcs. Of fish one was a little burnt, good service. But they charged for everything including napkins and else u ask for.

The food was quite good and the atmosphere is amazing. They offer indoor and outdoor seating it just depends where you want to sit. Now the only complaint I have is the coleslaw. The coleslaw was sitting on top of the hot food when it came out and that caused the coleslaw to be warm ruining the taste.

We ordered the fish and shrimp platters. The fish pieces were small and over salted. Cole slaw was very good but everything else was extremely oversalted. My son had the fish porboy and thought it was very tasty.Overall we thought the portions were small and left hungry.

First I would like to say that that was some of the best fish and shrimp that I have ever had. Our meals were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right🙂! Crispy outside but tender inside. We decided to have our meals outside which was very comfortable thanks to their huge outdoor fans. We will definitely be back.The staff is very attentive and polite.
