Days Inn by Wyndham Somerset in Somerset County

Room was pretty updated and no carpet but the tub was dirty and had hairs in it. Do not stay in room 111 in the summer bc the AC doesnt seem to work. Very noisy so not very sound proof. They allow animals so thats a plus but not a grass area to walk them. Not too bad for late check in then an early check out but not good for a long stay. GREAT LOCATION!

Great location, super comfortable bed, refrigerator and microwave. The check in was fast and friendly. This is just what we were needing after visiting the Flight 93 memorial. Lots of good restaurants right around from the hotel. Would definitely stay in again.

Room was very clean and both my check in and checkout staff were very friendly. Breakfast area was stocked and yummy 😋I only stayed one night but it was very pleasant.

The room had a smell that made my wife and I nauseous. Opened the window to get fresh air and realized it did not lock. We were on the first floor so anyone could have crawled though in the night. Between the smell and window, we did not feel safe so we just ate the cost and checked into another hotel. Also, they moved so this address is not correct.

Most hotels right off PA Turnpike at Somerset are dives and need a lot of work. The problem is that there is no place to stay between Donegal and Shanksville (Flight 93 Memorial). Its better to either stay in Champion, Seven Springs Resort, Hidden Valley Resort, or Johnstown). Days Inn is old, dirty, paint chipping, outdated, and musty. Wont be back again. These large hotel chains like Wyndham really need to concentrate on their product. If Wyndham is proud of a hotel like Days Inn Somerset, they should rethink their business plan. They obviously dont check in on their properties or dont care. Either way, we wont be visiting Days Inn Somerset ever again. Too bad I cant rate this hotel with zero stars.

The price was Right and the location was Great!!! Was still about 200 miles from Washington DC, but a quick rest area next to the Highway and toll roads!!! Go,go Days inn..... Eagle 1 ¥¥¥

Not bad. Beds were like a rock. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was descent. Your basic donut holes, coffee, they had a waffle maker, and muffins and such. Some cereal also. The Handicap bathroom is awesome. If you have someone that needs it. Very big and roomy. I wish ours was that nice. Overall a descent place to rest your bead at night.

This is a very nice Days Inn. It is very basic with no frills, but it was clean and did the job for a quick overnight stay. The breakfast was better than I expected and the front desk employees were kind and accomodating.

Handycapped room was fine, only complaint is the door to the bathroom opened out into the room, I think it would have been better opening into the bathroom. Second room was supposed to be the same but it had a small bathroom which was not Handycapped for a wheelchair, thank goodness the couple that was staying in the second room had a 4 prong walking cane.

The room was small, and the charging station didnt work. Tub wouldnt hold water and there was a used washcloth still hung over top of shower curtain. Burn hole in bedspread. Overall run down and needs maintenance, but bed was comfortable.

Disgusting. Sink not working. Front desk not attentive to issue. Cigarette burn in bedspread. Sheets are thin and frayed. Looking for another dog friendly hotel in area. Lol the room phone doesnt work!

This is an older motel and a value priced place to stay thats actually so clean but youll be amazed and everything is up to date. The walls look like they were freshly painted the carpet is absolutely clean the bathroom is spotless you cant find dust anywhere in that room I promise you. The innkeepers are so pleasant and so friendly and this is also a great location its right off the turnpike you literally pull out other parking lot to get back on the turnpike. Theres a Subway right across the parking lot theres a McDonalds at a Wendys within walking distance and theres a ton of other restaurants and shopping..

Clean room , quiet and will meet all your basic travel needs. Would stay here again - budget friendly and staff is pleasant

Virginia, at reception was very welcoming and helpful. The keys for my room didnt work well and the television did not work in the morning. The towel rack came apart. Elizabeth, at reception as I checked out of the hotel was friendly and also helpful. Even though the room had some issues, I enjoyed my stay. The location is convenient.

Virginia, at the front desk was wonderful. The room was adequate. Bed was comfortable. Needs some maintenance as far as charging station. Pet friendly, but the grassy area at the back of the lot was full of dog faces. Recommend putting a pet waste receptacle In. If you do that, we responsible dog owners will clean up after our animals.

This location was clean and in good condition. It looked like there had been recent updates. There was a nice breakfast included. This was far better for $59/night than the other place we stayed in the same complex a couple nights previously. We will look for this Days Inn to stay in again the next time we are traveling this way.

Very clean and affordable hotel. The front desk clerk is so nice and wonderful. The room bed is comfortable and quiet. If you are looking for an affordable and comfortable place, this is it.

Infestation of bed bugs - so thoroughly that the unhealthy insects were even present in the rooms main air conditioner filters! Unfortunately for me and my companion, we were Not aware of Any of this, until we checked out AND returned back home. Managements been notified.+ No evidence whatsoever of Any security cams (or anything similarin the rear guest rooms.+ One of the rear guest rooms (which happens to be 0ut 0f Sight of Main 0fficehas a Very Loose deadbolt lock. Unsafe.+ The in-room landline phones connection is set up so that 0nly the Main 0ffice and Housekeeping can call your room; however, you CANNOT connect to either of them, you need to call this place of business thru your cellphone.+ About the 0nly positive to this stay wasleaving - as I was running late packing up our belongings and getting us 0ut by 11 oclock checkout Time, I stopped a housekeeping staff member who was in the vicinity. After a brief discussion, a mutually beneficial agreement was reached, and I was shortly on my way back home.

Its an old place but its clean , bed was comfortable and everything worked. And theres parking just across the street for trucks pulling trailers. We gave an extra star just because the front desk lady was so kind and personable easily the sweetest lady weve met in this state !!

Great value and friendly service. The only downside was being a little noisy next to the highway, but you also cant beat the value and convenient location. Room was neat and clean.

Old fashioned, but love having a microwave and fridge without paying for it. Even had a phone book! Clean clean. Kind people! To much light sneaking around curtains had a hard time.... All carb breakfast... Fruit, hard boiled eggs at least!!! But liked this place

We spent two nights here while visiting Flight 93 Memorial (be sure you visit if you havent). Room was clean, roomy, king bed very comfortable. Hotel location not the best as far as Pa turnpike entrance but our room location protected us from noise. Continental breakfast minimum..did have waffle maker. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The lady who checked us in was really wonderful. Somehow Wyndham had double booked us. She was very thoughtful and helpful in getting it straightened out. The room was small yet clean and comfortable. It was quiet. I would recommend this hotel!

I normally wouldn’t not leave a bad review of any kind. But this was unacceptable. Stuck here for work for a whole week was one of the worst experiences of my life. Dirty run down room. Air didn’t work towels were dirty and coved in makeup with what I can only assume were rust stains. Had to park across the street all weekend because I never had a place to park. How can you not even have enough spaces to park??? And if you do why not inform other guest to have alittle damn decency. Want a suggestion. Bulldoze the whole lot and start again. Never again

I had to stay for 3 nights due to breaking down off the interstate. Hotel was very welcoming and understanding. They helped me even find a mechanic in town and were very patient with me. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Staff are very friendly.

Really cant beat it for the price. We stopped here for one night on our way to DC. It was clean and had everything we needed. They even provided a baby crib for us, but we had to request linens for the crib and then go up to the desk ourselves to retrieve them. The breakfast was good, they had make-your-own waffles, bananas, juices, milk, cereal, mini donuts, and bagels.

It was clean and the service was good. The room wasnt anything special, and the breakfast wasnt great (bread, donuts, waffles, and cereal, basically). For the money we paid, it fit our needs well for a stop in between two places.

This was a good room for the price. Check in was easy and they even allowed us to check out late. The only criticism I have is that the room was obviously shut up for a few days prior to my arrival as it was musty. That was resolved by turning on the a/c and leaving the room for a few hours. It was a good place to stay, but probably wouldnt stay there again.

We rent almost 1/2 of the hotel every year for our motorcycle group (Vmax Owners Associationand always have a great time. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They provide us with extra chairs and tables so we can have a barbecue dinner in the back parking lot. They also have a free continental breakfast which is nice when you dont have the time to stop somewhere for a full breakfast.

The good news is that the room is clean. The room was very small but fine. The clientele was at the bottom. The parking area had some very shady characters there. I guess the cheap price would bring all kinds. Front desk were clerks were nice and the breakfast was fine. I wouldnt stay there for more than one night.

Horrible rooms. The room was not only dated and old looking but had a funky smell and the desk had dirt and crumbs all over it. The bathtub sounded like it was going to fall through the floor while standing in it and there were dead and live bugs in the bathroom along with cobwebs. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. For the same price you can get a very clean , comfortable spacious room and Comfort Inn across the street.

The room was clean and bed is comfortable but the AC unit sounded like a freight train going through the room. Shower is dangerous with a high step in and out and drainage poor causing it to be very slick.

Location was wonderful as it was just off the highway. It was very reasonably priced. The service was good, we stopped in about 11 pm looking for a place while road tripping, and the staff was friendly and easy going. We spent the night in a double bed room which was very clean, bug and stain free. I have a habit of checking under mattresses, inside pillows, under the sheets, etc, because I am mildly paranoid about bedbugs and scabies and such. The bed was immaculate. Everything had been very freshly laundered and comfortable to sleep in. The reason for four and not five stars is that they only provided shampoo and not conditioner, which I thought was a little weird, and the towels were a bit scratchy. Other than that, stay was wonderful, will pin on my maps of good stopping places for the night.

Given the location right next to the turnpike, I expected a lot of traffic noise, and was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was in the room. The place is not fancy, but the price was competitive, the room was very clean and contained all the essentials for a comfortable (and affordablestay, and every staff member I encountered was courteous, pleasant, and incredibly helpful. Subway, Wendy,s, and Starbucks are close enough that one could walk, and there are several other eating establishments within a couple minute drive. Great stopping place on your way across the PA Turnpike.

A wonderful experience to rest from traveling. Room was great. Lots of pillows. Nice hot powerful shower. Lots of free breakfast choices including hot and cold cereal, bagels, English muffins, breads, juices, coffee, and delicious make your own waffles. Friendly helpful staff too. Thank you!

This place was... Well it was OK. Nothing all that great or all that bad. The room was reasonable, as was the cost. The bed was OK. It was clean and the staff was courteous.The room was a little cold, and even with the heater all the way up it stayed that way. But it was also sub-zero outside. Overall it was a good experience.

We stayed at the hotel while driving to visit family. The room didnt look as advertised, but was nice. The staff was nice. The continental breakfast left a bit to be desired, bit not "bad". Would stay here again..

Clean room, comfy beds and pillows, great price, continental breakfast and friendly staff. What more can you ask for? If you do not need all the frills of a big hotel, than I highly recommend. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again when in the area.

My stay was a great value for the money. The room was small but clean and cute and convenient to the highway and town. The bed was comfortable, and the A/C unit worked reliably. Staff was friendly. The only downside to this place was the breakfast. They had cereal, bread products like donuts and bagels, make your own waffles, and coffee. They just didnt have anything fresh like fruit or yogurt or any real source of morning protein. They did have a microwave, though, so we just bought sausage links to microwave and kept them in our rooms mini fridge for each morning.

Room was clean. Staff was friendly.The sink stopper does not seal sufficiently to hold water. This meant leaving the water running while shaving which would cost more to Days Inn. (You would think they would want to fix this!The tub was high off the floor and there was a sign plainly visible to warn a guest to be careful exiting the tub, but really for an elderly person, particularly one on the heavy side, there really should be a grab handle as well. The light bulbs were CFLs which contain mercury. It would be nice to see LEDs instead. The only other thing is that you would think when designing these rooms they would place electrical outlets in more usable locations. There was a coffee maker on the counter opposite the sink, but the outlet to plug it in was on the sink side. Hardly convenient.These are all nitpicking and not being said in the way of a complaint, just suggestions. All in all, everything was acceptable and we would stay there again.

Stayed in a King Bedroom, overall located right next to the turnpike. Room was clean and served our purpose for the night. However we were told there was a full breakfast buffet online and instead there was a deluxe continental breakfast with subpar coffee. Overall I think this place is good for just the bed and hitting the road bright and early.

Very convenient location right off the Turnpike. The rooms are small but clean and in good shape. Very nice staff and a great inexpensive hotel to stay the night. However, the outside doorways mean that sometimes other guests can be a bit loud and wake you up.

The location us mostly unknown because of how there us no road names, but mostly every thing and places around the hotel were good and beutiful. The rooms were nice but the bathrooms were very small and not enough room even in the shower. Service is mostly unattended. I just stayed over night so it didnt really matter to me, but they had breakfast and that was also good.

Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was ok, they need to add fruit, meat, and pastries. The hotel definitely shows its age, hotel phone didnt work(they did put a working phone in that day), beds ok, and room was clean. Our friends stayed across the street in a nicer hotel for the same price as we paid. Well stay there next time.

Motel is right off the highway but its an easy 5-10 minute walk into town. There are several restaurants close by. The staff was all very friendly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We requested a first floor room and the staff warned us that the only one they had was on the highway side which might be noisy from the traffic but it wasnt that loud so we were fine.

Stopped for one night on the way through to Ontario, Canada. Front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. Room was clean. The motel is old but well maintained. Breakfast the next morning was adequate and we found enough to eat, nothing fancy - waffles, cold cereal, juice, coffee, tea. Continental style.

Stayed here en route to Philly and DC. Previous review about gap in door is true but didnt present a problem August 2014. I could see it being an issue in colder weather. There was a noisy semi truck in the Subway lot across the street but by the time we settled in for sleep it was gone. Room was very clean and comfy. Shower was great. No problems. Cont breakfast was decent even though we eat cleaner these days. Make yourself a waffle or toast or English muffin, instant oatmeal packs and Raisin bran and frosted flakes. And reconstituted orange and apple juices. Not my faves but its included. For the price it was a great overnight stay.

Very clean and accommodating. I booked last minute while in town visiting friends. I was not fully prepared and was thankful that they accepted cash. What surprised me was the amenities located right inside the room; iron, iron board, coffee maker, hair dryer and fridge. The continental breakfast was pretty decent too. You cant argue the price when you get all the above. I was a female traveling alone and I felt safe and slept like a baby! Will be using them again when I am in town.

Superbly clean, a great value. Easy access to turnpike. I doubt that you can find better at this price point. Breakfast was cereal / juice / donuts / toast / English muffins kind of a deal. Not fancy, but it would get you down the road. They have a 10% coupon for a rather good nearby locally owned restaurant, The Pine Grill (we enjoyed dinner there).

Great hotel for the price! Our rooms were very clean which is very important to us. We didnt eat the breakfast, it looked fine, we just had breakfast with friends most days. The front desk people were very kind and helpful whenever we need anything. The beds were comfortable and we didnt hear any noise at all. I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget!
