Clean, organized, fair wait times and patient staff.
Great day at dmv ,fast in and out. Thank goodness for kind workers who helped me renew my drivers license with the kiosk. Great help from security guard also.
I had went to the bathroom and on my way to sit down my name was called it took 20 minutes to complete what I needed to do at the DMV
The wait time was awesome. I only waited like 5 minutes..
Initial instinct is to give one star because this is the DMV after all. But, make an appointment, the people are nice, I didnt get registered because of course, but for a DMV its ok.
Very nice people. Wasnt able to complete my business, but the clerk was very polite and helpful.
I came here today to get my license renewed and one of the employees asked the security guard to hand her a form for me and his reply was A Latino one? So he basically just assumed I didn’t speak english because I look spanish. It’s rude and unprofessional to assume someone doesn’t speak english because of the way they look specially when they have a higher Education than you.The person who took care of me inside was really nice and helpful though , over all it took 1 hour to get my license renewed.
Woman on the Information line was dismissive, abrupt and not well informed. She certainly did not have any time to ask anyone else (I get thatso my experience was rather poor.
The person was very courtesy courtesy and nice she helped me a lot and we got through a real fast I thank you very much
Its DMV so what else could I say. Actually this one they were all friendly and nice and worked with us well very impressed. The security guard saved our lives with a pen
Made an appointment in person the rep was really nice and quick
As long as you have your paperwork filled out in advance and then go to Motor Vehicles you will be in and out in 10 minutes so with that being said whoever goes to Motor Vehicles try to do your paperwork in advance print it out on the computer or something if you do this you will be in and out of Motor Vehicles faster than you know it.
There working hard at DMV give them credit its not easy dealing with all kinds of people all day, just be nice and courteous to the tellers at the windows and you will be treated just the same, have patience and leave your attitude home they need respect not a hard time because your not getting what you want when you want it, the workers are doing a fantastic job, great place and location 👍
Hell hath frozen over— today, I had not just an “okay” experience at the DMV, I actually enjoyed it…I know, weird right?! The incredibly friendly woman that helped me out (Ashley with the sick denim jacket from Marshall’scompletely obliterated any and every stereotype usually associated with DMV employees, (such pleasant people, yeah?she was VERY patient, kind, and kept me calm and comfortable while efficiently completing my transaction. I’ve legitimately avoided the DMV for years— because of a pretty negative experience, when one of the employees unprofessionally started talking about me with a few of the other employees, as if I wasn’t standing in front of her, and there wasn’t 300 people sitting silently behind me waiting to be helped…that woman’s judgmental words made me feel so tiny and insignificant, that anyone even mentioning me getting into the DMV would give me anxiety. Not only did I not feel judged today, Ashley acknowledged that we’re all only human, we’re doing our best but we make mistakes, and then non-chalantly sent me on my way with “well you know what you can and can’t do now…” I’m not trying to be dramatic here, but I wish I could tell her how much she really helped me out today, just by being kind and understanding. After eight years of screw ups and more screw ups and spiraling out of control many times, this was my first step in getting my life back together and to finally start living, and I couldn’t have asked for a better individual to help me with that step and to send me on my way than Ashley at counter number 5, at 11:45 on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022.
From the friendly information desk, to the wonderful woman who helped me renew my license, this was overall the best experience I have ever had at a DMV. Every government office should learn from this one, public service at its best.
The service was great 👍 made appointment for 8:15 got there at 7:55I was out of there at 8:25 made sure you made appointment.
I was in and out of dmv with 20 minutes. Very professional and addressed my concerns in a timely manner. Thanks.
Pens are 50 cents here. When they presumably called my number, it was off by one digit, so i didnt approach the counter. ended up waiting an extra 45 minutes because of their screw up
Everyone was really nice and things flowed smoothly. You have to have an appointment but it goes nice and quick. Not a bad experience to be honest!
I always come to here for my motor vehicles needs and never have an issue. I had 4 separate transaction to take care of today and they handled it for me with no complaint
You need an appointment now. I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in and my number was called 15 seconds later. Very happy.
To time manners.app is showing 6 pm closed but when I showed up before 5 pm they said we r closed.
Great service the young lady that served me, nice, courteous, very helpful. Hats off to her, for got her name,
Best DMV in New York State I was in and out in 8 minutes.Customer service was so pleasant.
Smooth sailing....place could use a technology upgrade... monitors are all burnt out... kiosks were out of order....staff was friendly and helpful
Friendly polite and professional make me feel welcome! They doing a lot better and faster!! Only spent 35 minutes yayyy!!
Not only did I have to wait almost an hour, i’ve been to the DMV six times in the two months tracking the progress of my title every time I went there they told me another BS date to get me out of the door I am disgusted at the rudeness of the staff the lies that they’ll tell you just to save their own time I recently moved to South Carolina it took me half an hour to walk out with a new printed license when something like this in New York will take weeks not only do I blame the laziness and incompetence of the staff I blame New York State for their poor handling of people documents and information
Had to renew my license everyone that helped was VERY nice and everything went smoothly. I was out in less than 15 minutes
I got my renewal and enhanced license. Everything went well except the woman doing my application at station 19 didnt seem happy. Like she didnt want to be at work that day. When I was ready to leave , I asked her if the license is good for eight years and how about the enhance. She said in a stern way Yes they are both good for eight years. I felt like, she felt, why even ask a question like that. Of course both are good for eight years. Then I said, Thank you and I left. This was at the Medford DMV around 11:30.
Going in to get the new required state drivers license ID, place was incredibly well-organized and rapidly got me in and out within the hour even though it was a busy day, everybody knew their job and did it spectacularly.
Fast and straightforward process. Bonnie was so nice and helpful. The appointment system is very effective, I was in and out in 30 minutes. The offices are clean and safe.
Cant believe Im saying this... But it was great...lol I usually have a decent experience at this location, but today was the smoothest is ever been... Staff were super pleasant and helpful.
Busting my chops for one letter missing out of ins card. Top it off $475 for reg/plates?????. Down south still $45 and in one hour take the writing test with driving test. Democrat ny are just screwing everybody over. Time to move for good.
You have to make a reservation online. Scan your QR you get in your reservation confirmation email and sit and wait for your number to be called. Today I had a 10 to 15 minutes wait. Not bad for DMV. My transaction went smoothly and the clerk was nice.
Going to Motor Vehicles was a fantastic experience quick easy in and out. I dropped off all my stuff and they will text me when my paperwork is done tomorrow. The drop-off service is fantastic. The girl who took care of my stuff was knowledgeable professional very nice and made it a fantastic experience. I had to title and register a vehicle and ways simple as can be. They go over all your paperwork and make sure everything is done properly they put it in the envelope and thats it they will call you when everything is done and you go and pick it up.Everything was ready the next day for pickup. They text you and call you. Great experience. Much different from back in the 80s.
Staff at Medford DMV were great. Made a painful task of having to transfer my late husbands car into my name painless. They were all so helpful.
I just needed to get my gender changed on my ID and had an appointment at 5, it’s now 7:45pm and I’m still waiting, appointments mean absolutely nothing. About to hit 3 hours of waiting. It sucks.
Post Covid, reservations are necessary, unless you are doing simple transactions like renewing your license or registering a vehicle. If youre doing that, print out all necessary forms and you can drop it off. Youll get a text when your items are ready. Not so quick, but definitely painless.
With appt . You wait online outside to go in and wait on another line to get a number and seat and wait again .
Because nobodybwasnthere it went super quick. Never thought Id be happy for covid.
Shockingly it was pretty quick,I think they should stick to appointments only because things actually get done, the lines actually move & the workers are nicer because theyre not overwhelmed. It wasnt bad at all,got my car registered etc,got plates & was on my way.
No distancing. The markings on floor were very close because you go thru a line like one for a roller coaster with following a que. Not enough tellers working. Many people waiting in waiting area. Appointments dont mean anything.
Im sure Covid-19 has caused major disruptions at most DMV locations, but the State needs to figure something out asap. Their current process is horrible and unacceptable. They had a lot of time to figure out a more effective process. They now require appointments for most in-person services. I had to renew my license and upgrade it. However, you may have to wait MONTHS for availability. Then they usually overbook appointments, requiring people with appointments on the day of to wait outside on a line for 20, 30, 40+ minutes. Not fun in the winter. The only available person to answer general questions is one security guard standing at the door, who told me that I couldnt submit the application they mailed to me because I needed to fill out the regular form, which was essentially the same info. Since I didnt have a pen, I had to buy one at the vending machine for $.50 cents. Then I had to wait on another line that was 10 people deep. The location is not very big, so social distancing was difficult. A guy standing in back of me reeked of B.O. that no covid mask would help in the slightest. I almost felt like I was being punished for not renewing online now and worry about the enhanced license later. Awful! I just hope I dont have to get a Covid test after this experience.
From arrival to departure, it took 1/2 hour which I think is much better than in pre-covid times. Very well organized and the young lady who processed my paperwork was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and quick. AND...I felt safe!
They are not rude, but not friendly. To them, it seems like wasting their time and breathe if they have to answer you one more word. The guy took the picture for my daughter and their computer screen is facing themselves, so I was asking him in a joking way about how was the picture, he said good, I can’t see his screen at all. So I said good? he said good then walked away. But no eye contact with you.
I had a wonderful experience here. The workers I dealt with assisted my grandmother with renewing her non-drivers ID really well. They were all really patient, helpful, and understanding. They really went above and beyond to help her. Christina and the supervisor, Angelica, specifically assisted my grandmother with renewing her non-drivers ID. They were both really helpful, kind, patient, and understanding. I highly recommend consulting with Christina and Angelica for any of your DMV needs. Thank you so much for providing us with such wonderful customer service!
It Can Be More Organised... alloacted Area can be highlighted jus a suggestion
I arrived a half hr. before the office opened. Doors opened promptly at 8:30. Spoke with three different employees while there. All we’re very friendly and professional. I was finished in less than an hour. 😊
Long wait, but staff was friendly and helpful
Tip: Dont go on a Monday or a Friday - I hear those are their busiest days. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was quiet. The staff was very personable and make you feel like an actual person. Plus, I got all my stuff done and I was out of there in less than 40 minutes (it wouldve been faster if I had only one task).
