Had a blast just walking around playing and eating π
We went for the August festival and it was very nice. There were activities for the children. Good food for the adults also because of the Halloween holiday there were costumes from kids animals and adults!!! People were having a wonderful time. There was staff handling and monitoring everything.Ill attend next year and dress up too!!
I was there for a band (the Santana projectduring harvest fest. Lots of choice of food trucks
I adore this place!! Bike riding is always a please and the food truck events are awesome!!!!!

Very clean area , lots of walking space, great spit for an event plenty of room
Great place to walk beautiful to look at awesome place to take pictures you can take your dog ride your bike
Great place to bike or just stroll. I love to bike up the cut from the Riverwalk to the Farmers Market get a bite to eat. Great place to people watch too.
The art and the trail walk is unapologetically original and beautiful!
Ive Lived By Dequindre Cut For Years, And Never Went There π€ Ill Definitely Be Going Back. Good Place To Ride A Bike And Exercise ππ½
We attended the 2022 Detroit Harvest Festival and WOW!!! We were so impressed with quality of this event! Admission was just $5 each and for that you got: lots of really good bands playing throughout the day (our favorites were a band playing Mexican and Spanish music and ANPB - a band playing music from the 30s!!!); 50 food trucks; and lots of wonderful fun for the kids like stations set up for truck or treating (lots of kids were in costume!!), a pumpkin patch were you picked one then went next door to decorate it, blow up playthings, rides, etc. And it seemed like almost everyone brought a dog (all very well behaved). There are so few places where families can go and have fun for low prices (see my review for Blakes Cider Mill - Ick!Even though it was just my husband and I, we had an awesome time!!! I highly recommend this event.
Great place to walk, run, and ride a bike. Like concerts and a variety if entertainment.
A great place to get different foods , good place for the children to have fun .
One of the citys best spots. We have so much fun here as a family.
Clean with some really Awesome Murals. Great place to walk, run or ride your bike.
Had an amazing time here! Great experience!
Went to the Dequinder Cut for the first time, during the Harvest Festival ( very crowded but had a great time ! The art work and scenery was great ! I recommend !
The Detroit Harvest was awesome and the spot here they chose to have it amazing great to see all different crowds here for the festival β€οΈ
Really enjoyed the Heritage Festival in the Dequindre Cut. Great concept...good daytime vibe
The festival is always nice my son has a great time.
Went to enjoy the Harvest Festival. There were a lot of people there but it didnt feel crowded. Tents and trucks were set up nicely with plenty of room in between each. The only negative thing I would say is that the workers putting on the wristbands just throw the paper tabs on the ground... I found this disturbing being at a community event, especially being there is such a push to keep Detroit clean and we are striving to continue building our city back into one of the best citys in the country and that has to start with us. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable time and would recommend anyone to go check it out tomorrow.
Nice place to walk and see artwork
Such a great walk way always love coming here!
I ride my bike on this this trail almost every day. Sometimes in the evening there are free concerts. Very crowded on the weekend but during the week its golden!
A great space in the D. Lots of use. Creative murals and graffiti tags.Went on a Thursday night. 100+ running group was fun to experience.
Such an amazing place! You can ride your bike all the way from the riverfront to eastern market through this subterranean stretch that avoids pretty much all street traffic and offers some truly amazing urban art viewing opportunities! Recent additions like the Freight Yard and the stage are also great! A real gem in the city!
Love this place! We usually come down here and take a walk or maybe even use the scooters or bikes. Lots of cool art work and a long stretch leading right out to the river walk and much more. They also have the fright yard where you can stop to relax grab drinks and sometimes even food. Highly recommended!!
Great trail to walk, skate, bike or jog all the way to the riverfront. Its safe, well-maintained & manicured, and the murals & graffiti make great backdrops. 1st Fridays during the summer months are fun for all ages.
most of the graffiti is gone (boooooo), but i understand if it wore off...hope they bring it back...happy to see the exercise equipment and all the handsome landscaping...it is awesome...i wouldnt mind living close enough to use it all the time
Great 5ks on the cut.. Perfect for year-round running and walking.
Love to go here with my dog. Its always clean of litter, but dog owners tend to not pick up after their dogs. Nice stroll without having to worry about traffic. Beautiful art along the whole path.
A delightful way to spend a wonderful afternoon biking or walking to the Detroit riverfront 25 feet below grade level while marvelling at art graffiti on old bridge underpasses and expansive fields of flowers along the way. A stop at the freight yard is a must for a signature cocktail to finish your individual journey through history.
Had never been and never heard of it, but big fun, lots of walking but fun. Food trucks galore, music...carnival like atmosphere.
Great place to get some exercise.Enjoyed the Fall festival & 60 Food truck rally! The murals are amazing! So much talent in Detroit!
Great place for a walk, bicycle ride or picnic. Great events and good sounds.
Great place to get your steps in and a lot of murals and street art.
Love Dequindre Cut! Whether its just for walking and exploring, checking out the great graffiti art, or checking out a festival, its a beautiful/safe place downtown to enjoy π.
I had never walked this area before, but did so in on an urban hike with the MI Crossroads Sierra club. The murals were awesome! I would definitely recommend if you are in the area!!
Everyone loves Detroits " freeway for people"!! Once an abandoned railroad bed, it is now a biking, walking, and skating trail that is free from traffic. All non offensive graffiti has been preserved and added on to. This has become one of Detroits most visited attractions.
If youre downtown and looking for a place to walk with lots of interesting things to see, this is a must visit. You can walk all the way from the River Front to the Eastern Market. Lots of murals have been painted along what used to be a rail line.
Great for family walking or biking. If you do the whole cut its long so would reccomend a stroller or something.Theres a port-a-potty maybe halfway through but no places to stop for that so if you have littles make sure they go before. Was fairly clean a few empty bottles/cans here and there but was scenic and nice.
I love the way the city of Detroit has transformed The whole area into a place where you could ride your bike exercise walk and do every other activity to keep your mind body in shape and to enjoy the beautiful audience of art flowers and even events
The Cut, as well as all the Riverfront bike network, is a jewel: Well maintained, safe, beautiful landscaping & art. Theres lots activity. It brings people together.
Peace comfortable 2alk or ride location with multiple entrances and fantastic art and scenery for photo or to stop and talk with friend in family. Def a nice hidden gem
A neat place to take a bike ride with the family or take an afternoon walk after lunch with friends. Cool art along the path and neat stops close by like EMB etc. Check it out!
Easy walk or bike ride. I recommend starting at the beautiful Detroit riverfront. There is plenty of fantastic art along the way. Perfect for photography. The Freightyard is open on the weekends and serves drinks and has live music. Its a great place to hang out.
Awesome place, very well kept, smooth surface, great for cycling, blading, boarding or walking. Highly recommend checking it out.
The Dequindre Cut is an amazing place for a run, walk, or bike ride. I love that it connects the Detroit Riverwalk with Eastern Market and Gratiot Avenue. There are murals by graffiti artists throughout the cut, and some interactive stations in the cut. They recently installed a shipping container space with picnic tables in the northern end of the Cut with tables . At the southern end of the Cut thereβs a workout station. The best part of the Dequindre Cut is that itβs below grade, so it really feels like an oasis outside of the city. Iβm excited for its expansion in the future and itβs connection to more amenities in the city. These photos were taken in Spring 2018 as a part of the Dequindre Cut cleanup event.
