Dollar General in LaGrange County

They give you the weekly coupon, ask you to come in on Saturday only to use it but then manager refuses to accept it. Cant scan them either... Literally robbing people of time, gas, and money. How is this not against the law? We are being asked to shop at their store under the premise of discount. Then they deny said discount. Weak

This store closes every day at 6, so you have to drive all the way to SR 6 around the detour to get the things you may need. It’s been like this for months. What’s the point in having one in your town if you have to drive 25 minutes to a different store?

Why are they closed at 6pm moat people dont get home till after 6pm

Honestly this store doesnt even deserve 1 star. The employees are extremely rude. Ive tried to contact customer service multiple times and no one has reached back out.Also multiple times the past week they have closed hours before they were supposed to.

Staff ⚕️ are great I couldnt find the lotions and I didnt have to ask for help she asked me do you need help with something

Its hard going to a store and the cashier acts like they hate people. Lady on day shift is so rude my kids dont like going cause of her way of acting towards people. From now on Im driving 20 min to walmart

Well called store at night and talked to employee asked to take merchandise to register because I’m disabled and gave me attitude and very rude people talked to maneger of store more rude and said I said bad words to her employee witch never did and can’t this I can’t help that can’t walk needed help and got banned from store all because I’m disabled needed help !!!

Rome City, In.; this location was jammed tight, the isles are very close together. Nothing was stocked, carts of boxes were everywhere blocking the items on the shelves. Several random items in shopping baskets here & there. The Easter candy was to be at a discount, it was not.

Just wished they would be a lil forceful about wearing mask but its usually 70 and up and they wanna fight and then the lil kids. I want to keep me and my son alive

The check out people were nice not to crowded git in and out in no time

Absolute trash. I dropped $20 in the front isle. Only seconds later I realized.The only 3 people in the store were myself and 2 workers. Only the manager was near when I had dropped the $20 and she walked around the conter by my isle....for no reason. I asked her about it and she....obviously denied it. For someone to do that in these hard times is absolutely terrible.I have 2 daughters it feed....she just stole $20 from our very small budget.

Like this store. Always seems to have just what I need when only picking up a few things. Friendly staff

The Dollar general in this area suffers from a malady endemic to its corporate culture . Its discounts ,while existing , often suffer from inferior quality goods ,misleading deals that employees frequently dont apply at checkout ,and general lack of communication between management and employee.Overall its Dollar general

Same as all other dgs. Shelves typically empty, aisles are always blocked with stock, and phone app will not work- especially inside the store. But for some reason I keep spending lots of money there.

Clean and close to home perfect for last minute items

Idk who was closing but she was not a nice lady. She needs ro find a diff job. Regardless, when I arrived it was bout 10mins away from closing so when I was shopping I hear a loud mouth stating, "7 mins we close" so grab purchases and cash out. Something along those lines. She got me completely flustered and i felt so rushed, i couldnt even find what I was looking for. Then she says you have "3mins" before closing........reminding the 4 of us who were there needed to finish up I guess. What it ocmes down to they over harged me for my pop-(rang it up twicelike i said she was not a pleasant lady. And idk if i get there til 950.....if i dont finish til 1030 and check out.....i am the customer and not wrong for spending money there.

Terrible experience had one cash register and a line half way around the store in line for an hour

Hate this dollar store. Im a daily shopper spending $50-$100 a day and Ive been accused of stealing, Ive been double charged for items, forced to purchase something, kicked out for refusing to pour out or take my daughters bottle outside, the list goes on. The staff is rude, unpleasant, and obviously lazy. They dont hesitate to try to make you feel stupid. One of the worst places Ive ever shopped. Unfortunately its the only store in town.

Im on the road because of my business and pass at least five Dollar General stores during the day but I always stop at the Avilla location because of the extremely friendly employees!

They have a great variety of foods,clothing,baby items,sheets,pillows,cleaning supplies,friendly service from the staff,if you cant find it or reach it their more than ready to lend a helping hand! They always have a special deals going on to help you save even more on there low prices!

The store is a mess. Floors dirty theres store items lying on the floor. The employees walk right on by and not picking up the stuff.

Workers were very friendly. Had mostly everything. Smack in the middle of no-where so it seems to be a great asset to the community.

Dollar General Sturgis MI - everything in my cart was on sale. Only one item had the correct price the associate acted like I was a criminal trying to scam her. I walked back to each item and showed her the price. When it got to the last one I was done and had to just walk out.

Small town friendly store. Nice to have a place to do basic shopping without going to a bigger city.

Wide variety of items from clothing and toiletries, to grocery and tobacco. Small store, very cramped, bathroom is out of order. Staff was helpful.

So many selections for 1-5$ but very good quality for clothing and shoe shopping too!! Definitely recommend if you wanna go somewhere better than Walmart :)

Some of the younger employees they have there has no respect for there elders and talk down to you which makes me want to travel out of town to shop if I am in need of anything. As for the store, well its the typical Dollar General store. They have there sales when instructed to.

Prices are higher than at the Walmart in Kendallville (somethings almost twice as highbut if you need just an item or two and dont want to make the drive, they probably have something close to what you were looking for
