Dollar General in Rains County

Always nice and nice employees

The only thing keeping me from giving 1 star is that there are 2 employees who actually do their job at this store. This store is a short drive from my home so I would like to keep going there but it gets more and more frustrating when the store is always a mess, the shelves are not stocked, the items always cost more than the sticker price says, you never get the sales discount unless you tell the cashier an item is supposed to be on sale, and the cashiers are almost always in the office playing on their phones because they would rather you check yourself out than do the work they were hired to do. Im to the point Im going to start driving to the next town to make my purchases.

Because its a lot cheaper than max a mart.

The Dollar General in Point, Tx is the best one Ive ever been in! Great!

The customer service is really good. Sadly that maybe not the case tmrw bc turn over rate is so high. That is a corp issue though since they dont pay their employees a living wage.

Our go to place when we arent in the mood for Walmart.

Everything is pretty organized and they usually have what you need.

Even now there is mask mandate, signs on door, and inside, shoppers in store not wearing mask, one employee with mask on chin, I felt like it needs to be reported, no one here is serious or cares if anyone else gets ill

Long wait to check out. Store is always cluttered, asked for ice and they said it was melting. Then was charged a literacy donation fee without being asked. When I asked about it when I saw it on the display I was told it shouldnt be (but there it was on the receipt). Hoping this issue has since been resolved.

Its a great place to get your needs pretty cheap and the employee Angel was extremely helpful and polite even on her lunch break when the cashier cant get the transaction completed she was glad to take time away from her much deserved meal and help her fellow employee

Nice and clean. Someone was trying to steal some razors when I was there and they stopped them.

Only place I can get shoe string chips with sour cream and onion!!!

There is always a girl sitting at the car wash watching her girlfriend it is just weird

Store is more organized than most Dollar Generals the only reason I give a 4 star is the staff smoke right out front of the door and they also smell really bad of cigarettes. Other than that I love the store !!

Friendly and helpful one of the stores that isnt messy...

The manager and the cashier both stood on the front step smoking. All the smoke is filtering in the front doors and it was only about 30 degrees outside. Very poor management. Store not organized and was a mess

I have found that I can get items here cheaper than at walmart

They have it all. No matter what if its for cleaning for eating for wearing for your pet whatever you need youll probably find it here.

Our Dollar general in Point is a Super Store!!! Clean, weii stocked with most anything you could ask for.

This store is always so clean and the employees are nice. Always has what I need.

I love this Dollar General! Unlike the one in my town this Dollar General is on top of their business. It is sooo clean and organized! Its kinda of new but they are maintaining it very well. Im shocked when I go to this location then to the one in my town. Huge difference in a shopping experience. This DG has a great team and management and appear to work very well together.
