Efficient way to get across the river as well as a nice ride with lovely views.
Great views. Pre-purchase tickets online to avoid the queue.
The cable car is good enough for what it is , the views are superb on both sides of the thames. It’s very quick across, not as slow as I expected. Only issue I have is the price 6 pound one way each I think is more expensive than what it is worth in my opinion. For a once off experience I’d recommend.
Queue looked long but went down very quickly .. Great views from above and great value as part of TFL
A unique experience riding this cable car over the River Thames between Royal Docks and North Greenwich. The return ticket was £10 and the journey lasted around 10 minutes. Great views of London from above. There are also options to ride the cable car and do a cruise on the river.
The cable car is a must do experience. It gives extensive views over London and is a quick and easy way to get across the river. I am not a "heights" person so was naturally a little nervous but I really enjoyed the experience. It is a smooth ride and not clunky and noisy like some cable cars can be which makes you feel safe as you look at the nearby Olympic slide, Docklands skyscrapers and other famous landmarks in your journey. Would recommend.
The ride its self was great but we had to wait over an hour in the queue with young children to get back to the O2 side, on a hot sunny day with no shade while you queue (could be fun in the rain). (my advice would be not to get off as there is not much to do on the Greenwich side). The fact that they were letting cars go with only 2 or 3 people in them when they can carry about 12 was madness, Im sure if asked people would share a car, and its not covid related as most people would have arrived on a train packed like sardines. The queue would only be about 10 minutes
Definitely a must try experience, at least once. I would recommend to go in the evening for a better view.
overrated and overhyped. only worth a one time visit on a sunny day. prices are extortionate. views are decent if you can see beyond the construction works.
Ride itself was good, but once we realised one of us got on too soon, and she got off, this person started screaming at the top of his lungs at us. Ruined the rest of our ride back. Unsettling and absolutely trash of him to do so. There was no line, and no rush. There was no necessary reason for him to scream at us.
Very easy to access with hardly any waiting. Was nice to not have to share a pod with anyone other that your own group. Staff were very efficient and helpful, especially Marc on our arrival at the Greenwich end. Views were great and the trip was slow enough to enjoy the views but not too slow (especially for nervous fliers - young Grandson)
On a day with clear skies, you’ll see for miles with some wonderful views of the Docklands, Canary Wharf and beyond. Book online in advance though, the queue for tickets was moving pretty slowly.
Right now passengers are forced to look at pokemons instead of city views, hope these huge stickers will be removed soon enough. I use Emirates as public transport to cross the river and even for me it is quite annoying
Really enjoyable experience, it’s nice to look at the city from above. You can see a lot of attraction from a different point, only critic is that the window could have been more clean.Anyway the cost (5/10£is a little bit high in relation to the time you spend on the cable car.In the end I recommend to do it because you won’t regret it:)
Certainly the most efficient, punctual and superbly managed attractions that is a ‘must to experience’ once you are visiting London. The staffs are effectual, polite and very helpful. The seats upholstery are a bit wearing out and needs attention. Otherwise a great attraction to enjoy! 👍
It’s a nice 5 mins journey, lovely views all around. No need of buying separate ticket. Just used our visa contactless
£5, you can pay at the barrier by contactless card. You dont need to buy ticket in advance. Everybody needs to have separate bank card.
Nice way to get from Royal Docks to O2, nice views, especially in the night.
If your going to the o2 it might be worth it, but I felt very ripped off in general. They claim the trip is 10 minutes, but it was less than 7 and whilst some of the views were nice, theres a lot of building work going on too
A must for when you visit London. An amazing experience and an enjoyable flight across the Thames with amazing views. You can use your oyster or contactless cards or buy a ticket which makes a great souvenir to keep. You can take photos or selfies when you are traveling and scan the QR code and get them as a keyring or other things when you land from the ticket office. There is step free access all across this system.
We went to cable car ride on a Saturday evening. Once you get into the ride and the ride will last around 10min and the view is amazing. You can see the aerial view of Thames and other surrounded building and the view is just awesome. You should visit atleast once and enjoy the ride. The ticket cost for the ride is around 10 pounds for round trip and 6 pounds for 1 way. Also you can Visit O2 Mall which is very close to Emirates Cable Car.
Really good and quick jump from Crowne Plaza Hotel to O2 and then getting tube to Canning Town and DLR to Royal Victoria for trip back. The Sky lift was good.
Lovely to do after the nearby Victoria Docks parkrun, especially as it’s free if you’ve just ran the parkrun! Great views of London!
Fun cable car ride with stunning views of the Thames, Canary Wharf, and Greenwich.
100% worth it!Amazing view over the city. In the evening the waiting time is short and a beautiful sunset is included. Roundtrip (to the other site and backcost 12 Pounds for one adult. Cabins are clean and modern. Staff is friendly. It’s worth to exit and explore the other site before returning.
Has beautiful sunset views on the top, Id recommend taking it right before the sunset if youre there for touristic purposes
Great experience. Much better than those damn tubes.
Loved it. Great views over London. £10 adults £5 kids. Not gonna lie, Was a little scared 😳
Not the best views over london since the location is not in the center or nearby enough. The experience itself also feels unsafe.
Lovely experience and great photo opportunities.Affordable price too. Friendly staff.Fun for all ages. Lifts available and buggy friendly because a group can have a pod to themselves which is better than being in an enclosed space with strangers. So easy because you can use contactless to pay instead of buying tickets only or at the station. When we visited some years ago we did the aviation experience which was nice. This time we just one way since we had other things to do in Greenwich. So many options for transport, such as bus, Uber boat or DLR.
An amazing experience at a relatively low cost. The view from the top is over the Thames river and it is truly amazing. Stunning views over London and also a great way to see the ever-evolving changes to the landscape. Has easy access to the DLR/Tube networks and can pay using contactless.
A beautiful experience for trill seekers. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Have been there twice and found the whole experience very convenient and easy to reach. Reach to Royal Docks side to board cable car, use your oyster card or buy tickets from counter. Executive will send you to boarding area and then once reached on other side executive will assist from where to exit. Must visit for once. I have heard that during night it takes 25 mins to cover the whole cable line so one can enjoy the view.
The tickets across were very cheap and the view was nice. Definitely worth the trip. Also you can get a discount clipper ticket if you buy it with your lift ticket.
Reasonably priced (£5 one-way using contactlesswith a pretty nice view. We went on a grey and rainy day, yet still managed to enjoy the experience. I imagine its even more beautiful on a sunny day. Highly recommended if you want a nice aerial view but the London Eye is outside your price range.
Great experience, you literally enjoy the best views over London. Really fun activity for families (my boy, 3, loves every minute of it), takes around 10 minutes each way.On top of this, you can meet Marc!He has given us a fantastic customer service and a great smile but, most importantly, he is a familiar face to most of us parent!!Indeed, he starred in a milkshake monkey, season 4 (cable car episodeand it was just so cool finding him there!Worth it!
Really nice experience. Didnt had to wait any minute. For London it was really cheap! The ride is kinda long and you got to see the city from above. On the highest point youre over 90m high over the Thames River. The stuff was also really helpful.
We visited the cable cars that fly from Emirates Royal Docks across to Greenwich / The O2.I booked the tickets online. So glad I did as it was a sunny a day and around lunch time there was a large queue. The queueing was not clear. We joined the back of the queue (being British we do love to queuethen realised it was the queue to purchase tickets. We already had!We joined the correct queue. Queued for about 15-20 minutes downstairs and then another 15-20 minutes upstairs. The flight was lovely not very long. You can see a lot of building work happening in and around the docks and are up the Thames. Right at the end there is a steep drop not for someone not keen on heights. The cars do not stop you have to get in whilst they are moving. In April 2022 it was only one household per car.If allowing more into a car then the wait may not be as long.Definitely recommend booking online, cheaper and less of a queue.Personally I wouldn’t do it again.
Amazing experience, been there twice in the morning and it was so nice but at night the view looks even better. Really friendly and helpful staff, good services, highly recommended!
Great views, but depending on the time also horrendous waiting times as everyone gets their own cable car. Prepare to wait, but for the cheap price (in comparison to f.e. the London Eye definitely worth it.
Great experience , great views took my little boy over for £7.50
Amazing experience for someone whos not afraid of heights! The view from the the top is truly amazing and the prices are decent! I would definitely go back when visiting London next!
An amazing experience at a relatively low cost. Amazing views over London and also a great way to see the ever evolving changes to the landscape. Really easy access to the DLR/Tube networks and can pay using Oyster or Contactless which is a great bonus!
A fantastic experience. Anyone visiting London should experience this. Both during daytime and night. Its also a regular transport option for commuters which is fantastic.
Great experience!A good way to travel and also see London -day or night the views are amazing.
Great place to go either with family, friends, either only you.Spectacular views over Thames and surroundings. Great on sunny days or by night. However it is very nice if cloudy as long as is no fog. You can tap with oyster or contact less as well as book tickets online. Fun activity , maybe little bit short so might want plan after somethings else like having a meal or other things to do like cinema in the O2 near by.Nice experience to add on to do list :)
Great alternative to the usual forms of transport in London. The gondalas are comfortable and rise to a great height over the River Thames, giving great views of the Thames, Docklands and other parts of London. You can buy tickets from the ticket office. If you have a travel card, these are not valid on the Air Line. You can also tap in and out with a contactless bank card or Google Pay / Apple Pay. When you tap out, you must use the same card or device that you tapped in.If there are queues, they will dissipate quickly, as the gondalas arrive frequently. Well worth taking a trip on.
This is a great experience for cheap! The trip takes about 10 mins each way and there are some amazing views of London.Buy your tickets online or just use contactless payment and don’t wait in line. We booked a private car but there was no one else waiting so it didn’t really matter. When you get to the O2 side, it’s a short walk from the station to the arena and there are tons of restaurants and pubs on the way in and once inside too. Inside the 02 there is also some outlet shopping if and upscale stores.Overall I would recommend as it’s a fun experience is only $8 for a round trip. Try and go before dinner for sunset views and then come back after dinner for night skyline views.
Been there 2 years ago, was nice to go as a tour but now more like commute, the cab goes faster. Staffs are rude and didnt want to explain. We went 5 min before closing, the guy said tills is already closed so cant serve us. Decided to pay by card, they closed the shutters infront of us.
If you rate this 1, you just hate heights. This is probably the most brilliant cable car you can go on in England. Going straight over the Thames you can view the wonderful O2, London City Airport and if you go at the right time you can see a plane take off and land!, the Thames barrier and inside there is a lovely video which explains what you can see and the history of the area! 10/10, this is something every Londoner and anyone visiting london should go on, AND ITS CHEAP! Especially with an oyster! So get out there and go do it! You won’t regret it!
