I highly recommend this company!
This guy is a thief do not trust him
Johnny Escobedo is aa experienced and courteous person but, unfortunately, not reliable. I guess my project wasnt big enough to him.Reply: As this was the second time you failed to be where you agreed to be, I think my review is actually very generous. Your call to complain to me about this was unnecessary.p.s. When you asked how it went. I replied. "I dont know. My former roofer didnt show up."
Great company and a very experienced contractor and very well done and maintained work. I would very much recommend anyone to use DoubleHorn roofing. There’s nothing better than DoubleHorn
Johnny and his crew did an excellent job with professional workmanship on our roof after hail storm. I highly recommend them for your roofing or any construction needs. I would use them again.
The owner is very honest and knowledgeable, so he understands what his subcontractors are doing—not just a supervisor. Very forthcoming on all transactions and very good at communicating. Excellent workmanship and very creative. Chooses excellent subcontractors too.
DoubleHorn Roofing did an amazing job with all the construction needs we had including extra concrete work on the driveway and new sidewalk down beside the house! We are super pleased! Definitely recommended!
Replaced my roof did a clean and great job!
We actually hired him to replace the shingles on the whole roof, re-build our patio cover to correct the pitch of same and remodel our master bath. I had hoped to give him a 5 star rating. Unfortunately that is impossible. He charged us tens of thousands to re-do our patio cover with the specific aim of correcting the pitch of the cover. When it was all said and done it was the same as before we started, which meant that the shingles he installed on the cover were not the proper material and did not at all accomplish our goal!!The installation of ridge vents, new shingles and new jacks should have been a breeze given the name of the contractor, but no. The work was so wrong that the manufacturers warranty was void from the get go! Unbelievable.Exhaust fans were installed without being vented. They just blow into the attic! The shower floor is so uneven it does not drain properly, or at all in some places. I had to call another plumbing company out to try to fix the functioning of the shower.Th shoddiness of the tile installation overall is shocking. There is no where you can look and not see places where the spacing between tiles is uneven or places where the tiles are at different depths. If Double Horn had the expertise they claimed someone should have pointed out to us that the particular tile I had picked for the shower walls was going be difficult to install with a good fit and finish. If that conversation had been initiated by the "experts" that would have changed a huge part of our experience. They pieced the metal edging on a 5 high wall - the edging material comes in 8 lengths. Unacceptable.
DoubleHorn Roofing created an absolutely intolerable and horrible experience for my family. The owner accuses my father of being belligerent (in his response to the review on Google), but based on the quality of the workmanship and the amount of money that was paid for the work, I am sure anyone would feel the same way--ANGRY. Even if they wanted to, my parents couldnt sell their home today because it would not pass a home inspection. I have witnessed and observed DoubleHorn Roofings work myself, and can attest to the quality of the job.The most egregious issue is the roof. The quality of the roof installation was so poor, the manufacturers warranty is void. Issues include, but are not limited to, the following: 1shingle overhangs that are inconsistent, being either too much, or too little in different spots. 2After removing the existing whirlybird turbines the patch job to the roof was shoddy. 3The stove exhaust vent was replaced with a dryer vent and duct tape was used to seal the roof. A couple of months out from the "completion" of the work, the stove vent is now beginning to melt. 4The pitch of the roof was not up to code on the patio cover installation. My family also paid Johnny a SIGNIFICANT amount of money to completely remodel their master bathroom. Just like with the roof, the results are poor. Most notably, the workers actually raised the level of the floor in the bathroom to accommodate the shower drain that was installed ABOVE the surface of the floor. Now, instead of the water draining during shower time, the water pools and sits for several hours until it eventually evaporates. Further, the tile work on the floors and walls is inconsistent. The tiles are not flush with one another, creating an inconsistent surface. Not only is this uncomfortable to walk on, but is an eyesore. Further, light fixtures were installed improperly, a broken door handle was installed and was left unmentioned...I could go on. The "punch list" items that Johnny refers to in his response to my fathers review is so long, it makes ones head spin. The entire bathroom basically needs to be ripped out and redone. My father does have high standards when he pays a GREAT DEAL of money and entrusts and individual to be responsible for a VERY LARGE job.Johnny GUARANTEED my familys satisfaction. He set the precedent that top notch work was the expectation. Not only did he not achieve this promise/commitment, but he left my family worse off than before they started. DoubleHorn Roofing was a HUGE waste of time and money.
Double Horn did an outstanding job on my remodel. Site was always clean, making for happy neighbors. Will use them on other projects and highly recommend you do the same.
Great work! And excellent customer service.
DoubleHorn Roofing has done a great job. Have used in 2016 and 2017 floods. Also had roof replaced in 2016. Excellent work with top notch experience and owner keeps a clean job site at all times.
Absolutely top notch, high quality, professional work done by this company. Johnny the owner stayed in constant contact with us after hurricane Harvey and was onsite EVERY SINGLE day during the rebuild from the hurricane damage (Floodwe received to my parents house. He went above and beyond several times even showing up for appointments that we could not be there for and spoke on our behalf. Quality work inside and out. Would not hesitate to recommend DoubleHorn to anyone needing repairs or looking for that dream house to build.
We had DoubleHorn Roofing take care of our roof after Harvey hit in 2017. He came out and gave a fair estimate that was comparable to others that I had gotten. His crew was there a few days after we decided to go with them and completed the job that day and did magnificent work. Owner was there supervising the workers throughout the day. I would highly recommend them.
Double Horn did great work...
Started job. Everything is half done. Quit before job was complicated. He made to big of mistakes and would not stand behind them to fix then. Uses cheap labor. I would not recommend. Now I have a incomplete remodel.
