$20-30 per person, but well worth it. Bauers is one of the best eats in Modesto! The Octavian Nachos are always to die for.

Incredible food. Great service and phenomenal beers.

Called ahead to reserve a table. They said they had 1 and would hold it . It took 5 mins to get there. They gave the table. They sat us at the bar while a table freed up. Did not ask us if we want a drink. 1 hour later they sat us down at a dirty table. 2 hours later and we still have not got our food. Service is not good.

Burgers cooked to perfection and the chef was interested in what we thought about the food...he came and checked in with us.

Stopped here at 1 pm on a Friday during a road trip since it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and had a warm, welcoming smile. The food was soooooo good, we already made plans to stop in during our next drive down south.

We had the vinha d ahlos Portuguese wings - hot, Pao de queijo popovers and El Chicharron burger. The burger was the star of the meal. The quality and preparation of the meat shone thru all of the ingredients into a well balanced and constructed burger. I appreciate the eclectic menu and tap list in a place that is frankly unassuming from the outside. It is one of the most notable places we have been to since moving to California.

Food was good, but the waiter was very impatient. Almost felt like we are not welcome.

Went there with my boyfriend and we both loves our meals. If you go get the Octavio nachos they are delicious and great for sharing. Will go again

I miss the old place. The food is awesome. Portions are small prices are a bit high. Tara was my server i got fake smiles and fake thanks from her she wasnt really sincere. Its not the service Im used to from Bauers. She came to take my our orders but then walked away to go speak to the other two tables. I found that very odd and rude. Give it a try. See for yourself.

Great place! Killer food. I had the lamb and it was amazing! The only issue I had was their beer was not cold enough and no chilled beer glasses.

Definitely will be coming back! Had the pulled pork sandwich with the mustard coleslaw and it hit the damn spot! Great customer service and the restaurant was nice n clean as well....kinda wanna go back for dinner for another pulled pork sammy

One of the best meals Ive had all year, not a weak link from the first beer to the main dish. The Dirty South is the best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Do yourself a favor and drop by. Loved it.

First time in staying in Modesto. After checking Google for different restaurants I realized that their downtown core had a ton. This place stood out for the creativity in their recipes. I got there and was greeted cheerfully by a freshly opened staff, I ordered the CLTA, chicken lettuce tomato avocado. I noticed on one of their other southern dishes that they had a Carolina mustard slaw. They made a special for me with the CLTA add the Carolina slaw, off the freaking hook. I will definitely be back the staff unfortunately whose names I cannot remember were amazing. Cool vibe decent prices great food.

Gone here a few times, and every time the food is amazing and so delicious! If it wasn’t for the food or the male server, we would never be back. The female waitress is rude, has a poor attitude and won’t acknowledge you at all. She even turns off the phones when she gets busy or refuses to seat people even when seats are available (this happened to us our first time and we walked out and the male server came after us to seat us). The male server is how my husband and I got food every time since she ignored us. Chefs are amazing. Foods amazing. Male waiter is great.

We had only had take-out here since COVID, so it was nice to sit outside and enjoy some Blues with Tony and the Tuff Times. We also had a couple beers and shared an awesome avocado toast. Well, I shared a little of it. We have to get back to Bauhaus, too.

This place was amazing, first off the staff is nice and very respectful. The place it self was clean and awesome looking. Walking in you can feel the vibe of downtown Modesto from the awesome art work on wall to the music.The price is decent I admit when I look at the menu it was well you can say double digit prices. But you most definitely get what you pay for.The food is delicious I got a burger and frys the gorg burger. Delicious and for well done juicy as if it was a medium. First burger joint I have gone to where the burger isnt like cardboard or burnt to crisp. The Freys are amazing, not greasy like alot places instead they were crispy and delicious.All and all I highly recommend this joint for all you foodies out there.

We were Out riding bikes on a Sunday afternoon with friends when we ran into this treasure in our hometown👏🏼 My lox plate was perfect, the Monte Cristo was Amazing, and the two chef specials were intriguing and delightful to say the least. From presentation to service and great vibes this place is an all around Hit!

Oh my! They have such a wonderful menu of both food and alcohol. Their unusual food offerings and its presentation are as delightful is as it is thoughtful.I have been there twice recently and I am extremely well pleased with the distancing and safety measures that they practice. Feeling safe lets you get on with life and enjoy your meal and beer.
