Went in for a DL renewal. Fill out the application and made an appointment online. They were calling my number before my picture was taken. Was in and out in less than 10 minutes and the lady that helped me was friendly.
Everything went smoothly when renewing my drivers license.

I made an appointment online for 1pm on a Monday to renew my license, and was in and out very quickly. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall it was a pleasant experience, considering how horrible I expected it to be!
This is an absolutely ridiculous location for a drivers license office. I made my appointment on a Friday not knowing the state fair was going on and would have had to pay for parking let alone fight the crowds just trying to get in the lot. Looks like I’ll have to wait another 3 weeks to get in.
What a Joke!!! Costumer service does not exist. Another good example how the governor fails its people.
Quick and efficient. Annoying to have to take written exam if you have a valid, unexpired out-of-state license, but theyre not the ones who decided that policy.

I’ve never been so disrespected being on the phone with a representitive, she was a female and she was just flat out rude, basically calling me incompetent, and didn’t want to help me at all. This is why i avoid this drivers division. I recommend going to the Ogden division, very friendly and help me with everything I need. I will never bring my business here again.

Kicked out everyone 1 hour earlier than their official close time of 5pm. So actual closing time is 4pm.
The people are so rude, like it’s not even funny. I was being so polite yet they are still rude as always, like at least be polite back, once in a while. Like we know your doing your job, but be polite to everyone and not specific people you want to be polite to with.
I Frequently loose my license so I have gone to many DMBS>. but they are extremely Kind here and very understanding. They never lost their patience with me and It is actually kind of an enjoyable experience, How Strange!! Would recommend this Branch over the otherlocations
After procrastinating the "Renew Drivers Licence" item on my to-do list because of the potentially long lines & muggy waiting room.... but the Fairpark location of the DMV; Drivers Licence Division was the complete opposite.A friend and I decided at the last minute to visit the Fairpark DMV; Drivers Licence Division. Running up to the doors right before closing time, I was pleasantly surprised to see employees that were pleasant rather than annoyed. They were quick assisting us with what we needed and we were out the door in about 10 minutes!They gave the "Golden" (eye-roll 😉j/kDraper location (wink, winka run for their money for sure! #GoTeamFairpark🥇🏆
I have been trying to get my license mailed for over 3 months. I understand that the mail being returned is not their fault. But when I call and tell them , they are extremely rude and talk over me. I asked them to just have me come pick it up and somehow they mailed my license to beaver instead of Salt Lake City. I have a trip to go on in a week and Vegas does not accept paper ids. Honestly if they would listen instead of talk over me they would probably get the address right.

I made a appointment weeks before online because my ID expired so I got everything I needed went to the DMV at the fairgrounds checked in they took my picture gave me a number I sat there for maybe 10 min they called my number went up paid for it and I was out of there no waiting all day it was great
I just don’t understand why I would need to take a written exam of 25 questions if I still have a valid DL from another state and have taken defensive driving within the past 2 years and have proof of passing that course… and 8-10 weeks to get an actual PLASTIC CARD ridiculous.
I made an appointment before going in. This was the quickest visit I have had. If you make an appointment online and fill out the application then you can ignore the scan app before entering the line. Just enter the line and give them the confirmation number emailed to you. I was I and out in 15 minutes.
I was very impressed. They were kind and very efficient. It was a little hard knowing what I was supposed to to between the masks and the windows but they were very patient with me.
Great staff, fast service, clean facility, digital paperwork, and an overall excellent experience. They were able to get me in sooner than my scheduled appointment and were able to help with everything patiently.
My driver license renewal was handled very efficiently. I had previously filled in my application and obtained an appointment online. I walked in the building at 8:00 and walked out at 8:07. In that time I had my picture taken, submitted address change documents, paid my fee, and received my temporary license. Well done, Utah DLD!
The staff held up amazing today. They were so short staffed and had some computer issues. They worked through it quickly and were amazing at getting people through. Despite a few jerks-offs in the building the staff handled everything professionally and assertive. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Much appreciated with all they had to deal with.
Best DLD experience I’ve had! I was a bit late to my appointment as we were struggling to find the way into the area but I was still greeted nicely and allowed in. Sula was super kind and she helped us so fast! I really was surprised by how quickly that went by and I would totally come back here again for future appointments!
Was great couldnt believe how fast it was. The lady that help me even told me when I need to update my hazmat endorsement and when my TSA info was need to be updated. Very helpful information as a CDL truck driver.
Some employees are starting to get that "sick of working with citizens" vibe about them. In times past, I had not experienced that. Too bad. But I was still in and out, though I felt more like a number than a person going in.
Kathi was very patient with me even though I set up the wrong appointment. Thanks Kathi, you were very professional even when I was being a little difficult! It seems like the DMV has figured out the system and moved good through pretty efficiently. Make sure you have an appointment before showing up and make sure you set up there right app appointment. Be advised: There is a difference between an ID appointment and a drivers license appointment.
This staff has things figured out! I showed up just a few minutes ahead of my appointment schedule, and was at the window by the time my appointment was scheduled. Kathi was very friendly and very helpful and I got things taken care of in less than 10 minutes!
A whole different "ballgame" from yesterdays visit to the Taylorsville location! Which was awful ! The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and helpful! Same with the man who helped me with the eye test and took my money, both were great! It was a long way out of my way ,but Ill do it again next time!
Went 2 state fair took lik ones ..was quite crowded... Lil pricey.. got stomach ache from food there....bit as long as kids had fun its worth it
The truth is, the person from the second window was very kind.The only thing that I did not like was a person who accompanied me and wanted to ask a question and the person who was at the entrance sent us to wait 30mn to return to the line and ask a question.Even though I answered the questions very easily but I could answer the two questions without waiting 30mn more and being in line again
I rarely post reviews but I need to comment that today I had the best experience that I have ever had in a Drivers License Division. My appointment was at 8:40. I arrived at 8:35 and was out the door before 9:00. Amazing service. The staff was very courteous and should be commended.
My appointment wasnt for another 4 days, but I had some free time this afternoon and did a walk-in. They were very nice and accommodating, allowed me to squeeze in today!
In and out in 27 minutes. Best experience getting my drivers license renewed! Wayne at the front desk deserves 500 stars! Wayne was kind courtesy and kept the line moving! Someone didnt have an appointment Wayne helped him schedule one for as soon there was an opening. Best staff! Thank you so much!
It took 5 calls to get through, not because no one answered but they rejected my call the first 4 times within 5 rings each time. the lady who answered had an attitude, and seemed very annoyed that I accidentally called the DMV instead of the DLD. I understand it probably happens a lot but it was very unprofessional.
Wow, I know Covid 19 has played havoc with public offices, etc. But Utah DMV is a difficult concept to contend with.....I was unable to go to the first office I went to because they were appointment only; The young lady gave me a slip of paper with other addresses that I should call first to see if they would let me walk in.When I called, I heard the same automated response that I could not figure out how to get a new ID card as I had heard the first time Id called; As for the website, which is the preferred method to handle these issues, I could not make heads or tails of it with my Android device (I am still searching for a computer to replace the one that died on me recently, but I thought Android would be enough), which is why I decided to just show up at a DMV office.The second office I showed up at was a relief by comparison; The young lady told the gentleman in front of me that he could sign up on the list since he did not have an appointment. I indicated I needed to do the same and I was eventually seen by 12 pm, and I did get my new ID.I made it into work by 4:30 pm after that...I had told them at work that I would be in late today, but I did not know it would be this late. My start time is 8 am.

Doing the best they can. Very nice employees, however know the laws because they cant help you if youre not on your game.
Since the Covid Pandemic they go through scheduled appointments, waited outside in a social distanced line for maybe 5 minutes(arrived a couple minutes early to my appointmentthen had paperwork filled out, picture taken, maybe waited less than 10 minutes after I was sitting in the waiting room before my number was called(only 7 other people in the waiting area with chairs spaced 6 feet apart). The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the were very quick and efficient.
I would give 5 stars if my photo didnt add 100lbs to my face. However, the staff was helpful and considerate. They practice good hygiene during a pandemic situation too.
Definitely make an appointment before you go. My husband and I both had really good experiences here. Even with a bit of a wait, which was to be expected with the COVID protocols, the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.
Actually a very fast an enjoyable experience. I walked in with all of the necessary paperwork,Was helped about 20 minutes BEFORE my appointment, got a 95% and left happy as a clan with a new Utah drivers license! My other ones have been from Wyoming, Florida and Oregon. Now I get to add to the ever growing list!!
The place was efficient and moving fast they didnt let me win in that didnt have an appointment And they cleaned everything after someone used it which was a plus however they didnt enforce the social distancing between people when people would gather close together I felt like they could have also kept only the people with appointments inside instead of letting people in pile up inside the place really it should have been everyone waiting outside it wasnt very cold or anything it would have been much safer. Which is why you get one star. 4 otherwise but not taking all of our including your own health seriously enough is horrid.
Best appointment availability in the SL valley. Ran like a well oiled machine. Got a new UT ID in under 30 minutes.The one complaint I have is that they were not disinfecting after each person being helped. There was a lady walking around to disinfect, but it was more of a periodic cycle. Why not have the attendants at the desk sanitize their station. That would free up an employee and ensure it gets done every time.
The Drivers License Division has taken great care to limit numbers while still allowing people to come and get things done. We scheduled an appointment and were able to get in and out in less than a half hour including taking a test for a learners permit. They were pleasant and helpful and it was not stressful at all.
It was impossible to reach anyone by phone to schedule an appointment, and there were no signs on the for to separate people from going in without one, and those hoping to get through the line on their lunch break. It was completely disorganized, and more than frustrating for those sitting in a line that wasnt moving. If they even said it would be faster to make an appointment on their website, it would have saved countless people time and frustration
