D's Diner in Luzerne County

We come to Ds twice a week!. And spend out hard earned money. That comes to $70 per week just for my wife and I. We love your restaurant. Until last night we were eating quietly like we always do. I was speaking to my wife about something ans from across the entire restaurant this blond haired older waitress thought for some reason I was talk about her when I was clearly not. And started screaming at me from across the entire restaurant asking me to leave when Ive done absolute nothing wrong or anything at all wrong to her. It was extremely embarrassing to my wife and I and unexceptsble!.she first needs to mind her own business and secondly be removedEven the clients in there eating all wanted to leave also due to how uncomfortable she made the entire restaurant feel. Totally wrong of her. Now from twice a week st 70 dollars per week I spend there you have lost a really great client and the other clients will no longer come back again eaither it as a shame. Because we loved it there. Hope this can be corrected. Thank you kindly,Joe Naples Sr

Great food but the stools at the counter need to be repaired. Wobbly and hard to sit on without hurting your back

I eat there quite often ..never had bad service or bad food ... Big portions ... Great place nice owners

Pancakes were tough but other wise great service and reasonable prices.

After busting my wallet at the casino I still had enough $$ left over for a late night breakfast with friends 🙃 food was great and prices right...

CASH ONLY. However, there is an ATM outside!Breakfast AND lunch were great! The staff are very friendly.Only giving it four stars because it could be cleaner. Saw a couple of flies flying around and spider webs by my seat.. gross.

Went paid $25 for home fries waited am hr and half after arriving. They did them wrong. Then only gave us very tiny portions

So this diner cater to the population of elders and veterans.We had ordered eggs, side of bacon and french fries plus home fries and also Philly cheese steak that came with potato chips. cheese steak and potato chips is a great combo.The eggs is good and the home-fries. The of all is this staff member who is part of this family. Good customer service

I went at night excellent the attention of the ladies are very kind and the food is very good I will go again.

Great diner, easy access from Highways and hotels. Has the fish special, it was excellent.

Stopped here in the middle of the night on a 9 hour road trip, hostess was absolutely lovely and the food was exactly what we wanted: classic, tasty diner food. The pancakes and french toast are especially fluffy and have a great texture. Entire place was clean and cozy, would definitely recommend.

Cash only is bad enough but the ATM was out of order on a Saturday. Luckily the Sunoco a block away had an ATM. The food was good.

I love this place. Never had a problem with anything. Order is always made correct and come out hot and delicious. Keep up the great work!

Great food, great service, cant beat the prices!!! Definitely check it out, eat at Ds after the casino. Dont waste your time or taste buds trying to grab something quick at the casino

Service is good, the breakfast is okay, but the diner itself is dirty. There are flies inside. There’s an odor inside which we think is from the carpet. The white curtains have ketchup stains.

The food didnt taste bad but it took more then 20 minutes for it to come out. The waitress said its because of grilled chicken. When the food came out none of it was nearly hot and fresh. The grilled chicken that took too long was cold. My burger was barley hot. And the waitress wasnt attentive at all. Mind you it wasnt even busy. She forgot to give one of us the water. And she was giving attitude. Never coming again.

Excellent portions. Had a roast beef club. It was packed with frosdt beef and came with a generous portion of fries. Not enough mayonaisse but I asked for a side and the waitress got it right away.

Two of us were seated immediately, the restaurant wasnt busy. A few table s in the front occupied, a few in the back, where we we seated and given menus and adequate time to review the menu, then the waitress came and we placed our order. I had a sandwich, my friend spaghetti. It took over 50 minutes for our order to arrive, and it was almost delivered to the wrong table. ( In the meantime, orders were taken and served to other customers who arrived after us. All we ordered was a meatloaf sandwich and spaghetti. So REALLY PEOPLE! The Mgr didnt even to come over and apologize, the waitress only asked if we wanted our beverages refilled once in the 90 minutes we were there. Good wasnt that good and the sandwich was a childs portion. NEVER will I go back.

True diner food at it’s best. Delicious breakfast had by all. Amazing bacon cooked to perfection. Great coffee and good service — just the thing you want at a diner!

1st time having their breakfast. Ordered the French toast wich came with your choice of meat. I picked bacon. Unfortunately the pictures are no longer on my phone. Also ordered a side of their home fry potatoes with onions and peppers. Everything was great!

I had the pancakes. They were pretty good. The staff was cordial and my husband who is very picky, really likes this place.

Eh,Good family diner if you dont mind previously frozen prepared foods. Friendly staff. Two guests ordered two appetizers and two entrees. Appetizers arrived 10min apart. "Hot" wings were not spicy and overly sauced with what I would describe as sweetened ketchup. Potato pancakes were a larger version of Dunkin hash browns. Good flavor, but soggy with oil and obviously not homemade....ate them for 10min before wings arrived. Then I watched my friend eat his chili entree as I waited for a chicken parm hero. Sandwich was basically fried chicken fingers with sweet marinara and melted cheese. The bread was good, but I somehow expected an Italian style cutlet and got previously frozen industrial chicken fingers.Popular place full of what seemed like happy customers, but a disappointment for me. Perhaps my expectations were unreasonable.Prices were low so I got what my friend paid for.I hope you keep that lot full Ds. People love your diner.

First time there. Had a western omelette, toast Homefries with gravy & sautéed onions. Waitress could have checked on us more. Coffee needed a warm up & others needed refills but didn’t get them.

Worth checking out.Ds is one of those places that the locals eat thats been around forever. Places like this dont survive without being something special. So definitely good food, good price to portion sizes, and generally good staff with quick service.

You can never go wrong at this place! Food is always perfect and delicious! Love it!! P.S. Best Childrens menu ever! The descriptions make Dad life easy... haha! Kudos!!

Best part of my breakfast was the toast! Omelette was over cooked, could not taste the cheese in it at all, and I asked for corned beef hash inside my omelette and specifically asked that it not be mixed with eggs, guess that was too hard to understand! Home fires were ice cold and bland. Turkey club was ok. Cash only here apparently they do not realize it’s 2022! I wouldn’t recommend or return!

Omg! The food was amazing I had Turkey with gravy and stuffing and mashed potatoes, green beans and a side of cranberry sauce .. almost like Thanksgiving lol.. my daughter had turkey club and fries. She also had a blue berry muffin.. she loved it.. the waitress was awesome.. we came on july 5th 2021 around 9:30pm

First time here and I love it. A little piece of home away from home. The food was really good and at good prices too. Staff was nice and fast with the food. Highly recommend the coffee, its great. Definitely coming back in the near future!

here on 6-22-21. 1pm. Ive literally had breakfast around the world (check my reviews). Its my favorite meal taken in the afternoon. Kudos to the staff!! It was busy but tables promptly cleaned, service and food was fast and great! Loved my Omelette and crispy bacon! Not greasy and very tasty breakfast: Yay me! My waitress was Erin 💙💜

Usually enjoy coming here but, not today. Ordered open-faced roast beef sandwich with mashed and gravy, &stewed tomatoes. The food was all cold. Took the waitress 9 minutes to check on me. She took the food and returned with having had it microwaved.

I had a great first time visit. The food was amazing and the portions were generous. I will definitely be eating here again.

Was at Mohegan Sun Casino right down the street. Craving a steak, but didnt feel like paying Ruth Chris prices. Cruised over to Ds Diner & got a delicious T-Bone. Was perfect. Hit the spot. Very friendly staff & server.

Really good SOS/sausage gravy. Fast service. Pleasant staff. Inexpensive. Open 24 hrs.

Cash only. Seems like a nice place, service was good, but it’s truly an old person diner. The burger I ordered medium rare tasted like it was “boiled” in water, then grilled. It had no taste and no pink or color.
