Highly recommended! The food is very tasty, portions are big and you get served very quickly. The personnel is very friendly and attentive. English menus are available. The place is medium priced but you get a lot for your money.Besides the food, the restaurant offers a great ambient and atmosphere. For kids, some room to play is available.

A good traditional Ukrainian restaurant in the heart of Kiev. They have a room with lot of toys and games for your children. All the staff is dressed with traditional Ukrainian clothes. You can use some to make some pictures.

This is a traditional local food , the place look so beautiful in a traditional style and there is many options for food & the prices are good too and the costumer service is really nice , i think the service and the people are nice in ukraine in general, i ordered an interesting salad i never tried , its chicken with apple and some cream sauce not sure but it taste very interesting and new to me , i also ordered rabbit with something like rice I forgot the name sorry but it taste nice & enough for one person

Its a great place with authentic and delicious Ukrainian food and Im Ukrainian myself. The prices are affordable,waiters are attentive, the design is amazing. Highly recommended.

During our trip to Kyiv we visited number of restaurants, but ‘Korchma Taras Bulba’ rocked it the most😍We loved everything from its food, to decorations, to service and the friendly staff 😍 The restaurant also has a small room for kids to play (which was great for 3 year old). Varenniki with potato and mushroom were delicious! 😍 Also don’t forget to order their bread plate - it was the best we had!

It is a very well designed place, beautifully decorated. Employees wear traditional clothes and are caring. Prices are normal. We came for breakfast, got omelette and potato pancakes. I recommend it to anyone who comes to Kiev.

It is quite aimed at tourists, but food was decent, good beer (Popelka), good kvass too. Not keen on the automatic service charge (1 star down for that).

Overall, a great experience. That food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was gorgeous. However, you could clearly tell how the staff was trying to be friendly with you, giving a very fake sense communication. There were a couple of girls that the moment they got far from us after giving us the food, they immediately dropped their smiles and eye rolled and seemed super annoyed. I understand that they want to get some extra tips, but cmon, you can do that a bit more modestly.Nonetheless, again, the food was absolutely delicious and its a must try when visiting Kiev.

This is a traditional Ukrainian restaurant. Employees have traditional dresses. Food is good. I tried potato pancakes (deruny), traditional vareniki (dumplingand homemade pork sausage. I like their food. It was fresh and delicious.

* TOURIST TRAP*Decided to try this place because of good reviews, came on Monday 21:35, to be told at the enterance that the kitchen closes at 22h, - no problem, i said, we will just order food, eat and be out before 23h that was their advertised time online and on restaurant doors. I want to mention at this time there are 6 tables of people inside and 2 outside. We order food - borsch (2/5, something like out of school canteenand meat varenyki I their signatire beef with potatoes in clay pot. Food was fair (3/5), nothing too exciting or worth mentioning, but the attitude of our server Oksana that literally delivered the bill with main course saying they are closing the till, was unexpected. Especially because when we paid, finished the dishes that she would take away immediately after last bite, we got up at 22:35 and when we got out, we saw 2 tables of people still eating in room nextdoor. EXTREMELY bad service and average food, dozen of better touristic and local restaurants in 1km radius, would never come again!

5 years ago I came in looking for a traditional Ukrainian meal, and boy did I find it. I had such a great time that when I returned earlier this week I sought it out. I was so happy to know they were still open. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Immediately upon entering, they showed me where I could leave my coat. I thought that was a nice touch for a sit-down restaurant.It was great that the menu was also in English to help me. I ordered the sausage with some old-fashioned fries. It was really tasty and went well with the sauce that was on the side. The juice was natural, and was very refreshing. As for the vodka, it was strong, and worked well as a digestive.Upon having a wonderful meal, my only downside was that they didn’t accept card. As it was cash only, I had to rely on a friend who I was with to cover the tab. I would strongly recommend this place for none looking for an over-the-top Ukrainian place to vibe at. Just remember to bring cash. Though the prices are very reasonable, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t have too much cash on hand.

Another restaurant for tourists. The service is bad and will try to fool you. We asked for some recommendations and we trusted them. They brought very bad quality cold appetizers and they counted portions for 3 when we asked just for one. I dont recommend it at all. 100€ per 3 people with very low quality food and disrespectful service. No wine, no desserts. One of the worst places in Kiev .

For a real sense of traditional Ukrainian food, this restaurant is wonderful. Waiting staff are dressed in traditional clothing, the decor is traditional and the food is outstanding. Service was very slow, but very friendly and welcoming. The Sviaty Vechir free table was a real splendid surprise!We all ate so well here. Highly recommended!

A classic tourist trap, I ended up here because of the high ratings. The food is ok but not more than that. Service is slow and they play VERY loud live Ukrainian folk music.The food probably deserves a 3 star rating, but the overall experience make it 2 stars.If you are in to tourist experiences like this it may be a 5 star for you :)

One of our favorite places in Kiev! I just want to stand there and soak in all of the Ukrainian rich decor. Our first time here was 2 years ago and just like then, it did not disappoint. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable. The food is delicious but the golubtsi are phenomenal! We always return to this restaurant because it is so unique and so good.

Just so so, food wasn’t bad but wasn’t great neither. Just ok. Big cons because they were delivered main dishes separate so one person finished and other just got food. From other side nice to try traditional food but I I have to be honest I wouldn’t recommend this place. Try something better.Prices are also quiet high.

We were looking for a place for a late breakfast and saw this place. And it was a great find. From the moment we went in the staff were helpful and really lovely. The food was great and we were even given some traditional hats and headwear to take photos in. Totally recommend stopping by!

Funny place. The decor is a bit over the top, and the guy who took our coats was a bit grumpy. But our waitress was very friendly and the food was excellent. Good place for a hungry traveller to stop and lounge around for traditional food. Very reasonably priced too!

One of the best restaurants in Kyiv. Tried a variety of dishes and each of them tasted really good. Been here twice in 4 days. Definitely worth trying. If you are into trying traditional Ukraine food this is the place.

Definitely worth going if you are interested in the ukrainian cuisine. Food is very good. Prices are mediocre compared to other places in Kiev but still cheap compared to Germany. Service was fast and kind.

The food was great and with normal prices. But we needed to wait a lot for the waitress to come and take our order. Though after that we got the food in ordinary fashion. One more minus was that out waitress didnt speak english, so we had problems while asking for check. Still I think well come back to this place for great food and nice environment.

Its exactly as expected - moderate taste of home made food. Visit it for a laugh, not for the food. All the emphasis is on the excessively abundant deco, with plentiful of unnecessary items and kitschy waiters outfits supposed to make the place look traditional and farm-like. The result is a catastrophic and risible cliché of eastern Europe. And of course, they forgot to work on the food. Dishes are poorly presented and tasteless. The clownish staff is rude and unprofessional.
