Food was fantastic and the service was great...had the parillada!!! So much good food.

First time at this restaurant. It was FANTASTIC! The customer service was great the waitresses were always checking on us to make sure we had everything. The food was so good. Im sorry I dont remember what I ordered, but I do have pictures. Next I will get what it was. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food is good for the most part- wish they would bring back old pricing on party packs and add more sauce on items. Price increase is so high it is cheaper with gas increase to go to Ceres and eat at El Rosal. It is too bad, Want to support Turlock business.... Los Gallos went under through no fauly of their own, and it is hard to support with the high prices. El Rosal should have been supported so they could stay in Turlock- there is room for everybody.

Me and my boyfriend would regularly go here but after today we won’t. Brought my mom here for Mother’s Day and they were EXTREMELY rude. Owner made very unnecessary comments saying he was going to make us wait longer. Waited longer than the estimated wait time and they even seated a big party before us even though we had been waiting already. Ended up leaving after waiting almost an hour for nothing.

Very good food with nice and friendly servers. Chips and homemade Salsa were great as well.

Always a great experience here. This is a place I have been coming too for years. The staff is always friendly and provide great customer service. The food is amazing, I havent ordered anything here that i wouldnt recommend to someoelse in the future.

The staff was suuuuuper busy and yet they took great care of us! The food is fantastic, I mean realllllly good. We really enjoyed our family dinner here and we will 100% be back to enjoy more of what they have to offer. What a great restaurant and staff.

Not what you expect when you drive by it or pull into parking lot. Definitely deceiving. Very helpfull staff. I had the cheese stuffed bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp. I would say it is a must have. Great place!

Came here at 7:00 p.m. for a birthday dinner. It was definitely busy but we were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. Our drink orders were taken as soon as we sat down and we waited about 15 minutes for our server too take our order. Our food was delicious and our server kept coming back to check on us which was much appreciated for a busy night. Definitely recommend their food and drinks.

The food is delicious. My favorite appetizer is the flautitas de pollo, and my favorite dinner is the carnitas plate...yummy!

Yum I loved their shrimp veracruz. Delicious food great service even on a very busy Sunday afternoon. I also enjoyed my lime margarita.

Still a great place after 20yrs! Just had a few of my old favorites and theyre still just as good as they were back then. Good prices too, a little better than most Mexican restaurants around. If you want the real deal in Mexican food, go here!

Fantastic, authentic food. Really friendly staff. By far the best Mexican food I have eaten in this part of the valley. Everything was very fresh. Definitely get the cabbage with your chips and salsa. I will be coming back next time I am in Turlock.

First time customer. Great customer service. Food was delicious and literally only took maybe 10 min after I ordered. Staff was very friendly. Prices were fair. Plenty of sitting including handicap accessible. Plenty of easy access parking. Mucho margaritas flavored and otherwise.

This place is one of the best I have ever been to! I ate ceviche and the tostadas took a bit longer than I expected but it was because they were the best ones I have EVER had at a restaurant! These tostadas were homemade and even a bit hot because they were freshly made. The drinks were good too. The staff were very friendly and offered us two bowls of salsa and chips as our family is a bit bigger. They were polite and offered refills on drinks as well as salsa. I will be visiting again for sure.

The Lady that served us was very attentive and made sure our water was refilled and our chips were plentiful. The food was good and very hearty. Our lunch experience was good and fast. Thank you. Oh also the little busboy was good too!

Ordered the Zapatas Plater.. the ONLY way to make it any better is, a bigger fork! Absolutely memorable!Staff is very nice. Give them some grace, theyre usually pretty busy.

This is my go to place for Mexican food. Authentic taste as well as authentic and nice people. They are always bubbly, responsive and of course very busy. This is a hidden gem that always makes you feel at home. Portions are huge on top of that so you definitely get your moneys worth.

Product is always good, but lastly we have noticed about the person taking phone calls and delivering orders is not kind at all. Hard time receiving food in a bad way. Administration is kind but not people doing this duties. Please! These are hard times for everyone! We are trying to support local businesses! Be kind with customers! Thanks to the cookers they are working good as always!Yesterday we tried again but the amount of food is smaller every time. Thanks and I wish you the good times as used to be. Bye bye.

Hands down the best Mexican Food in the area. The drinks are great, and the staff is amazing. Easily our favorite place to come eat. Tastes just like homemade.

The decor brings happy feelings & we were greeted right away by a friendly woman. We were brought chips & salsa, drinks & our meals in a very timely manner. The food was great. The two others dining with me ordered steak meals & I ordered chicken. We were all satisfied & full when we left.

My husband and his family have been coming here for 30+ years almost every Thursday! The food is tasty like always and the staff treats you like family. I recommend El Charro to all my friends!

I found this place from the reviews and it was good. We all ordered something different ranging from the milanesa chicken, milanesa beef, steak a la mexicana & the plato Luis. Nothing stood out as amazing but you can’t really go wrong for some decent Mexican food in the area. Would go back for sure.

Horrible service, staff was rude waited 45-1hr for our food to be served we had a party of 2..Another party of 4 showed up after us & they got served first mind you we ordered shrimp cocktails so that shouldnt have taken long to be served to us..ee also got there for there HAPPY HOUR..NOPE we were charged full price for our drinks..!!Never again will I go to this place!

Excellent service. Especially with everything going on. I ordered online and everything was correct and delicious. Food was ready when I got there and they are taking great precautions keeping their customers safe. The staff was real friendly. Love having their food for dinner. I will definitely be returning, especially during times like this for support. 😊

The food is awesome, but the waitress was the absolute best! They got pretty busy in there, but she was hustling around and never missed a beat. Didnt have to wait for our food or the check. Cynthia is the best!

Best Mexican in the US. Great food, folks, $.99c margaritas. Love it. They make everything fresh from scratch and it really shows. Prices are low and service is phenomenal. My favorite restaurant of any ethnicity, period! I have been going here for 5 years and it has stayed consistently fantastic. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp.

I must say, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants Ive ever had the pleasure of eating at.I met some friends for lunch one day, El Charro being their suggestion. I was eager to try it as Id heard so many good things about it.We were greeted with chips, salsa and cabbage, as usual. The salsa was wonderful and the cabbage was pretty good, but it wasnt until my friend ordered a basket of flour tortilla chips that brought the flavors out.I ordered the Flautas and I was very happy with the serving and the taste. It was wonderful. I dont remember what they ordered, but I remember everything looking and smelling fabulous.The waiter was just attentive enough without being too intrusive. The tables are kind of crammed in there, but its nothing that ruins your night.Overall, I recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authentic food. I will be returning to taste more of their menu.
