Went there for my sons birthday dinner tonight and it was amazing! The staff was extremely nice and the food was delicious. The pineapple margarita was also delicious. The inside looks completely different than the last time we were there a few years ago. Definitely upgraded! We will be back more often!

Fresh food, not glop on a plate. Hands down best Mexican around. Fish tacos are my favorite but everything is delicious. We always bring friends from out of town here because we know the food and the service is excellent.

Great service! Being understanding for menu price increase, quantity of food for a mid priced entrées was not comparable to other nearby similar resteraunts. I ordered the signature "El Colonial Burrito" and felt like it was lacking filling. Taste was great but with price comparison felt like shouldve been stuffed with more ingredients. Tacos were much different with plenty of food for price.

My sister and I always wipe the tables with clorox wipes or some similar item when we go out to eat. We have eaten in quite a few restaurants and perform this same procedure. Most all wipes will become dirty like the tables have not been cleaned in quite a while or I have wiped my shoes with it. But, the numerous times we have eaten at El Colonial, the wipe is as Clean as it comes out of the package. Their tables are cleaner than any other. I always show the cloth to my sister, so she can vouch for it. Always amazed when wiping their tables. Keep up the good work, guys! Also, I love the food!!!

About the same price as Casa Grande in South Point, but the food is not quite as good and the service is not quite as friendly. For the price, if rather drive to South Point and go-to Casa Grande.

Can we just address the price difference that this restaurant has compared to other Mexican restaurants. Its literally twice as much. I used to eat here all the time, but I realized I could pay less somewhere else and it was just as good if not better. The price differences is just ridiculous. Id rather go somewhere else because of that.

After amazing service and excellent food, we managed to get a shot of the last bite of fried Ice cream... If you are looking for a family friendly atmosphere with some of THE best food in the tri-state, grab a bite at El Colonial. You wont be sorry.

Wont be returning. Staff seemed dismayed to see us, and my order was wildly different from what the menu stated. After one server agreed to fix it, our original one came and argued about it. Had to read him his own menu. About 9ish hours later, I became violently ill. Truly unfortunate, as the food was actually pretty good.

The service is always top notch. Courteous, fast and they dont hover. The food always taste great and they will accommodate any changes. One of the best places in the area.

My family and I placed a large carryout order tonight and the food was ready very fast, which is great. However, my California Burrito was so salty that I could not eat it and it is too late in the evening to have it replaced. Im very disappointed because the food is usually great.

Extremely fun & festive atmosphere, genuinely friendly staff. Delicious & generous portions of flavorful, savory authentic Mexican dishes prepared fresh on order. Mixed drinks are too die for. Will be eating again here again.

It was great! The service was outstanding and the food was really good. The only thing I noticed was that they seemed to serve smaller portions compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. I had myself had plenty.

Excellent service. Amazing food. Ive never had a bad experience here they will make u anything u ask for no matter how specific. The people are amazingly friendly and always welcoming no matter how busy.

Food was decent. No one bothered to refill my drink. I got the polo Juan. The chicken was in a bowl that was on my plate. The bowl was all up in my beans. Id rather just have the chicken on the plate then a dish sitting in my food. The place was clean and comfortable the staff was polite when they interacted with my party. Was an ok experience but better places are out there.

This is by far the best Mexican Restaurant. My family has been a loyal customer since they opened the doors. It is a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and they always strive to meet and exceed your expectations. Thank you Ortiz Family for providing our community with such a wonderful restaurant. :-)

I went here last week for the first time, and I had an awful experience. My waiter was unpleasant and would disappear for very long periods of time. The food portions were very small for the price, and the cheese dip was the worst Ive had. It was the consistency of water, and it hardly had any flavor. The manager on duty did more for us than our waiter, and he was very nice; he seemed frustrated with our waiter as well. I will not be going back to this restaurant. It was probably the worst service and Mexican food that Ive ever had.
