Slow take out service, quality and quantity had greatly decreased while prices have exploded. Will not go there anytime soon.

Friendly, fun atmosphere. The food is very salty, so dont go if you arent into that. I personally didnt find the quality worth the priceEDIT: Ive gone a few more times at my friends suggestion. Its been really good since! Im not sure if my first visit was a fluke, but Im upping the place to four stars.

Good food, kind of dirty under the tables tbh, but I would give it a second chance.

Amazing food! Great drinks and friendly staff. We had the Hawaiian fajitas and the seafood fajitas. Both had great flavor and were phenomenal! We will definitely be back again.

Waiters are nice and food has been very quick. The best burito I have around is their Pancho villa! So so good!

Two seperate times, 2 of us were seated right away but waited over 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge we were at the table. There was a couple that came in after us, ordered and got their food before anyone had greeted us at the table.

First time dining here, typical Mexican restaurant. Only one man was working had 4 tables. Reasonably priced. Margaritas were on special they were good and served either frozen or on the rocks which I prefer. The dining room could had been cooler since it was 93 outside.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Clean, fast pleasant service and ample servings. We usually have extra if we order separate meals. Some dishes we split. Always a $20 pitcher of Margaritas. 2 entries, a pitcher and $10 tip run just under $60.

Wonderful service and great food make this our favorite Mexican restaurant.Five months later and they havent missed yet! Still great!

Service was pretty good. The place wasnt really busy but we ordered arroz con carne and not all the meat was cooked all the way. The manager went and got on the cook and offered to replace the meal but we had already taken the partially cooked meat out and it was good.

I have reviewed this wonderful Mexican restaurant before and decided four stars was fair. However, after dining there again, I have to say that they have elevated themselves to a new level. The place was hopping and the atmosphere was laughs and respect. I saw clear leadership of the restaurant staff which transfers to great service and excellent authentic Mexican food. I will add that this Mexican restaurant has taken a small old basement space and transformed it into a story telling atmosphere. If you happen to be lucky enough to visit when the restaurant is at a lull, then ask about some of the paintings you may see and expect some cool history and culture. Albion is very blessed to have this business and it is worth a stop for the unique taste of Mexico.

We had a table for 8 adults, a baby and a 2 yr old and had planned on going somewhere else that ended up being closed.The service was great, the food was great! We cant say enough to fully compliment the management and the service!Thank you for taking care of us in a clutch!

Great food and EXCELLENT service. Victor went above and beyond. Ate there a couple weeks ago and then had take out. Definitely recommend and will be back.

First time here for carry out. Ready on time, packaged well. Chimichanga with shredded beef was generous portion, great taste. Definitely will be back soon!

These guys are in need of more staff. In spite of this the food and prices were awesome. The menu made everything look so good. The pitcher of margarita was good. Love the cheese sauce.

Good food with generous portions - though on the pricey side (about $15 per plate).The margarita - which is pretty much mandatory for me at a Mexican restaurant - was lackluster. It wasnt particularly strong, and it seemed obvious that they made it with some sort of fruity carbonated drink. (*face palm*)Guys, do yourself a favor - up your margarita game!

Got some great tacos here! They have the best shredded cheese Ive ever tasted. They were really nice to us and seated us right away. It wasnt too crowded and our food came quickly. Their chips and salsa was also delicious! 🌮

Staff very nice and worked as team for good customer service. Food good but not spicy, could be spicer, I like warm to hot spicy.

Food is great but I wouldn’t want to dine in here it’s claustrophobic and the employees are weird and rude. I also went in through the wrong (backdoor apparently and felt very awkward. They should really have that door locked

Was definitely excited to try this place because of the Google reviews and its local to me. I was definitely let down. The food had zero flavor, the chips were flimsy and chewy, and the salsa was lackluster at best. They only brought two dishes of salsa for a party of four. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt because its a holiday weekend and theres a work shortage, but I probably will not be going back.

So actually a fairly clean Mexican restaurant.Seams as though most local Mexican restaurants in the area are getting a little run down. Waiter was nice helpful menu was huge biggest selection Ive seen around. Prices were fair as well. Well be returning

Our first time here but not our last. Everything about this place was a great experience. We had a party of 4 and everyone raved about the food. After we ordered I was surprised at how fast the food was prepared. Our server did an excellent job of explaining anything that we asked. An the margaritas were spot on.

Best mexican food in NE Indiana. Nothing disappoints! Get a margarita and some mexican beer! A hidden gem in Albion, Indiana. The prices at this restaurant seem to be slightly cheaper than the rest. Love this place!

This is the best Mexican around better than auburn jalapenos that is gross and expensive, better than Don Chicos in Kendallville. I ordered a burrito spicy the other day and I asked to pay for queso on top and I didnt receive it I also asked for no tomatoes and I received tomatoes. My wifes order was wrong also she wanted 3 flour tacos and 1 corn taco and we didnt get it that way. We definitely will be back though just wish El Mariachi could make it up to us on what they messed up thank you for your time you would have had a five-star if it wasnt for the mess up

Great food. Fresh ingredients. Very well prepared. We are still doing takeout due to the pandemic and these folks are happy to accommodate both dine in and takeout options. I had the Pollo y Camaron. The chicken was evenly cooked. The shrimp was perfectly grilled. Everything was swimming in a pleasing cheese sauce. Our takeout food showed well even after our 10 minute drive.

This is the best Mexican restaurant that my husband and I have been to in a very long time. The service is wonderful and the food is so good and plentiful. The strawberry margarita was also very good. Weve been there three times now and we will continue to go back for the great service in the great food.

I LOVE this place. I cant wait to go back! I ordered a LOT of food my first time. 2 enchiladas, 2 chimichangas(1 beef 1 chicken all covered in queso blancowith a side of rice and beans, 2 tamales, chori fries(which is their version of chili cheese fries but with chorizo and white cheese), and a HUGE plate of nachos for like $50. ALL delicious. Seriously the best Mexican food Ive had since Ive been to Mexico. The service was great for the employees not speaking the best English, they were very nice and 10/10 recommend. This is my new favorite restaurant.

Very authentic Mexican restaurant. It was very busy when we were there, but the service was great. The food was delicious and plenty of it too. Would recommend especially if you want a little "kick or fire" in your dinner!

We love to eat here whenever we come to Albion to visit the in-laws! The service is great. I love the decor inside. Everything Ive ordered has been delicious. Great place 10/10 would recommend

Food was just so-so. Cheese sauce was extremely salty on my enchiladas. Ordered a large mango margarita that did not contain any alcohol or at best a wiff. People were friendly but sorry will not go back.

Its a small little place that had great food and service. They give you huge food portions. The place was very clean. If you are ever in the chain of lakes area and need food after a long day of canoeing or hiking this hits the spot.

Food is really good. Service was great. A little loud as far as we were sitting near the kitchen and the noise coming from that area was a little bothersome for me. Prices were good. Will go again.

Awesome wait staff, excellent food. We walked in at 830 on Saturday night when they close at 9. We had a party of 11 and they didnt hesitate to get us a table and get us seated. They also had 2 other parties walk in after us and the service was great! We will be returning some day.

I was the last person to arrive to the dinner there. Excellent service from our server. I kind of judge most Mexican restaurants by the salsa and queso and chips they have.Chips were really good. I ordered the deluxe queso .. was surprisingly not as I expected. Not much cheese at all. Lots of the deluxe items although. So I ordered the regular queso .. not bad bit soupy.. so I mixed the 2 orders together and voila. Good queso! Explained to the server my actions and that the deluxe mix would be a good addition to the menu. Rest of the food was pretty good.Yes, I will go back... if they dont have the change up of the queso.. then I know what to do. Oh, yes,, good salsa...

This is a gem of a mexican restaurant in the small town of Albion, IN. They offer a large and unique menu. The chips, salsa and queso are excellent. Weve eaten here several times and never had a bad meal. The service is great, food hot when served and the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

We recently ate here for a birthday party. We had a large group of 14 and the staff did a great job of getting all the orders out with just a few minor errors. The food was very good. We will definitely go back and will also recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. The menu is VERY extensive!
