Electric Vehicle Charging Station in Albany County

Tl;Dr: convenient location, but unreliable chargers.Update 10/2022: way less busy passing through this weekend. Pulled right up and charged. All appeared to be working.//Update: drove through a Saturday July 16 2022, late morning, and 3/6 chargers were down, causing a backup of 3 cars lined up waiting for a charge. One of the other drivers was on the phone with EA while we were there, and was told they were sending someone right out. However, on my return trip we stopped by Sunday afternoon, 3 chargers were still offline, again cars waiting. With it being such a high traffic stop, at least on the weekends due to its proximity to 87/90, it was disappointing they didnt have the chargers back online the next day. Its still a good spot to charge, with convenience of Walmart and Panera right there, so hopefully they get it back in working order or open more stations in the area.//June 2022: Worked exactly as expected. MachE connected as soon as it was plugged in and charge speed as anticipated. 4-5 chargers in use while we were stopped, with folks coming and going. All chargers were working when we stopped, June 2022. Located off to the side of the Walmart entrance, not a far walk. Convenient to 90 and able to run into the Walmart for bathroom, etc.

This charging station did not work when we got there despite multiple hook ups. This isnt the first time Ive been disappointed with this location. The location has a lot to do so this one has potential if their reliability improves. I would suggest checking the plug share app for more current feedback before committing to this location.

Seems they have all the kinks and breakdowns ironed out. Smooth sailing last time I was there!

Great charging experiences (2xon 2 day roadtrip . Most chargers were working. Both well located in the middle of a Walmart parking lot, easy to find but better integration into the various apps (e plugshare would be an improvement. Many other stores and restaurants close by as well.

Again we had a good experience but not all of the chargers were working.

Half of the chargers are not working in Albany. Please repair.

This does not wven deserve a 1. This facility has 6 chargers and only 2 work all the time. This is worst EA experience ever. Guys avoid this station for gods sake

Walmart its easy and a great place

Lots of changers most open I did not charge but saw them looks ok

I just go there to rev my gasoline engine and feel the planet suffer as I burn up a gallon of gas and watch people charge for hours...

Easy and convenient while shopping

Out of 8 stations only 2 worked. This technology is lagging.

Got there 10:45pm, Walmart was closing, no bathroom Jesus.

Good number of fast chargers, and there is a Walmart with a bathroom and a Dunkin right next door. Was able to get a slot immediately and it worked off the bat. Could only pull 150kw/hour though and should have gotten up to 270kw/hour.

[ long story short these structures are what scares people into buying electric vehicles]-in Walmart parking lot [ farthest from the store]-8 changing stations, 11-12 chargers4- 350 KW 5-7 150 and online says theres a 50 but I dont remember seeing it in person[*edit: i tool a picture there is 1]-Unfortunately of the 10-12 chargers avaliable at this location, All 350kw chargers were broken or not in operation.Comparing this to Tesla Superchargers in the area Ive never seen one down in years.[ there are Tesla superchargers across the street in Crossgates parking lot]-Electrify America continues to be underwhelming, this is a personal opinion but Volkswagen putting the infrastructure together rather then just paying for dieselgate was a mistake.-Americans investing in a network similar to or built on teslas, that is if it worked anything like Teslas Chargers would give more confidence to the consumers to buy EVS.-VW Group having controls to how they have paid there fines has resulted in pooor quality rhey should have paid directly so Americans could reinvent.and pay for training for a union in the US to be doing the work.-Also for everyone using these Chargers please respect others Vehicles and the chaeging infrastructure by making sure you put the charger back when youre done and not on the ground,Just think of it this way, would you leave a gas pump on the ground?

Right next to the top level of Walmart! Very convenient. All chargers appeared to be working when I was there. Only a couple slots seem to be taken on a weekday afternoon.

This charging unit is fairly reliable. But you may have some issues
