Lovely reception area and even the halls leading up to the rooms were beautiful. But the room itself was not. The bed was not made properly (Not tucked in). The bathroom was horrific - more a motel than a hotel I spent almost $300 on for the night. I was on the road side and the glass was not sound proof so I was kept awake all night but late night trams and road noise. This was not worth the price tag. I would have paid more about $120-$150 for this.
I enjoyed my stay here, the reception is very friendly and helpful. Love the smell of the room the first time I checked into the room. The bed is super comfy, I had a really good sleep.I workout at the gym in the morning, it is convenient as nobody was there. Feels like my private gym.
Dont believe it when they say they have parking its ways booked out it basically doesnt exist, they say just go and park in the paid meter parking 200m away which is an annoyance. Then worse when it rains. Not worth the hassle stay somewhere else. Rooms are small, not much of a work area just a small round table.
Lovely facilities, warm staff and especially great service from Emma. Had a fantastic weekend there.
Lady receptionist was rude. Entertainment area was closed/no access. No swimming pool and not much amenities, not even a bath tub. You have to pay for a parking space. For a 280 dollars room with no breakfast, it is not worth the money. It did not meet our expectation of a “4-star” hotel. The only good thing about it is pet-friendly.
Awesome hotel. Huge bed and room space. Nice warm fluffy robe. Love the bench seat and the common areas. Excellent staff
Fantastic hotel. Clean, modern and lovely staff. We will be back whenever we visit the City.
Hotel is very good, breakfast is good and the gym is also great.Only the laundry service was terrible, my clean laundry was completely crumpled up
Lovely warm reception by staff. Nice common area with pool table, TV, warm fire and books. The room was one of the cleanest weve stayed in. Decent size with King bed, table and chairs and bench seat. Loved the curtains as they were on a track and blocked out all light. The shower was very spacious. Kettle, coffee machine, fridge and microwave in room. Would suggest supplying a little more milk. The balcony was huge with a spa and projector screen. Was lovely sitting in a warm spa on a cold winters night. Really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful facilities. Seemed to be lots of staff in training so service was a bit slow at times, but everyone was very friendly and had a fantastic attitude
Ive stayed at the Element before so I knew what to expect. What I wasnt expecting was a staff who were all committed to delivering the best experience they could. Yes, I am a Marriott frequent flyer, but sadly, I think Marriott in general have failed their most loyal members. In the US, there is very little recognition, service is inconsistent between hotels and upgrades are few and far between.I hope Im not one of those "Do You Know Who I Am" people - but I do spend 120+ nights a year in Marriott hotels. All I expect is an efficient check in process, a decent room, perhaps the odd room upgrade every now and then and a can do attitude by the staff. The Element team are pros. Personalised service from the moment I stepped inside, a warm greeting, a nice hand written welcome note and a thoughtful welcome gift. More importantly the GM of the hotel had emailed me a couple of days prior to my arrival and asked me if there was anything I needed. That attention to detail is a forgotten art now.The Element is fresh and clean, has a great "pantry" concept in the lobby, great little restaurant and bar and the place is spotlessly clean.About the only thing they dont do is bottled water - which they might want to revisit (or maybe Ive lived in the US too long now). The staff at the Element are service pros and put many higher rated properties in the Marriott family to shame. Well done. Ill stay here again in a heartbeat
Fantastic area and so close to the city. Not only is it dog friendly but we were able to have our cats with us. Rooms are well appointed and spotless. As a previous housekeeper supervisor, this was fantastic for me to see and the staff were fantastic. And don’t get me started on the room service. So good we had it three times during our stay 😊😊😊We’d recommended this hotel to anyone, with or without furbabes. It’s a 5++++ from us
We arrived at 3 pm (check in started at 2and were greeted with a line of at least 20 people waiting to check in.One receptionist and a group of angry guest. My partner had to go and find other staff, and request that they assist with checking people in.The checkin took a considerable amount of time, and we had a wedding to attend. We barely arrived to the wedding in time. But the letdown didn’t end there. Our room was loud, there was no menus in our room, no cutlery, nor anyone at reception to call to get any help. All in all a very disappointing stay
We arrived early, and the staff who greeted us were friendly and helpful, agreeing to store our luggage while we went out for the day as our room wasnt ready. Upon return, the new front desk staff seemed to be starting our booking from scratch, asking us what kind of room we wanted. We said a room had already been allocated, but we provided the details again. It took a while, but we eventually checked in. Our room was like a sauna. The day had been hot, and the curtains had been open with no air conditioning on at all. It was a very small room, with just enough room for a queen bed, but it still took four hours for the room to cool to a comfortable temperature. Throughout the night, the main light switched itself on three times, waking us up. It then took a while to work out how to turn it off - it looked like some wires might have been crossed? We told reception when we checked out, and they said that someone would get back to us with a partial refund, but unfortunately, that didnt happen. The room was clean, close to Richmond amenities, and a quick tram ride to the city. Were undecided if this experience was a one-off/ someone having a bad day, so were not sure if well stay again.
Another perfect Marriott property in Melbourne. I cant say enough about the service....everyone was soooo incredibly nice. This is a very convenient location with tram stop right out the front door.
I was disappointed with my stay here. The hotel is quite new and well appointed, but feels poorly looked after (little things like unclean lifts etc). The room was very small with no work area (unhelpful for business guests). The staff service was pretty good, however there was repeated confusion about my booking which was frustrating. The food I had was ok, but not great and it was expensive (also no menus in the room for room service...). I ended up getting food delivered as the dinner menu was limited and expensive. I didnt use the gym but I went for a lovely long walk along the Yarra - nice location (quiet). If I worked in Botannica business park Id stay here again, otherwise Id probably look at something else.
This is a review during hotel quarantine so we didn’t expect much. The room is comfortable and the window is firmly sealed due to Covid restrictions. As I suffer from claustrophobia therefore I relied heavily on the air conditioning to retain my sanity whilst taking prescription medication to relieve my anxiety. However each night whilst the room temp is set to 16 the reading climbs to circa 21 -22 without any warning. Room becomes hell as the heat triggers my anxiety despite the medications. Many calls were made to reception and nurses attempted to fix it to no avail. Last night Mr Brian Williams who claimed to be the duty manager advised me that the change of temperature is normal as other guests have chosen heating which automatically heats my room as well. This is the most ridiculous explanation I had heard. When I questioned it I was told by this so called hospitality employee that he does not want to waste time explaining it to me as I’m like a brick wall!! Wow talk about service!! I have travelled extensively around the world and never encountered such a situation. What is the purpose of the personalized AC panel in the room if the temperature of my room is determined by the selection other guests make. If there is a problem with the air conditioning system then it should be addressed. Mr Williams needs some training on how to speak to guests who pay his wages. Will never recommend.
These are the comments posted by my wife Jennifer. Beautiful modern hotel, tastefully decorated.Lovely public places to sit and relax. Rooms comfortable with everything you could want/need and beds heavenly. Felt like paradise! Spa on the balcony very relaxing and pleasant to sit on the balcony and chill, overlooking expansive parklands.Staff friendly, patient and accommodating.Location lends itself to interesting and wonderful walks along the Yarra River and trendy shopping strips of Swan Street and Bridge Road.Bicycles are available from the hotel. Short tram ride from the city centre.Pets are welcome but unfortunately, our dog was just over the 20kg limit. We only spent one night in the hotel however it really was a special 22 hours and would highly recommend for an empowering mini-break.
