A classic country pub with the nicest hosts. Julie is a fabulous cook. We all loved our home cooked schnitzels. Julie and Paul are so friendly and welcoming and the collection of antiques and memorabilia is amazing.Go for the food and stay for the ambiance.Situated halfway between Avoca and Ararat, its the perfect goal for a Sunday drive.

Drove in early on a Saturday morning after camping looking for a coffee, found this little gem. A lovely lady made me and my mate up one of the best coffees we have ever had. This place is ace. Recommend going in for a look. Will go back one day!

A must stop! Original old style pub. You dont see them like this one.Go out of your way to get a steak from here! It will be well worth it!

I had the worst day ever. The property I was planning on buying had termites even though i had been assurred it was just treated. Wasted $385 on jims building inspection that did a really bad job. Infact i could say i did a better job. Then I hit my first kangaroo. Went to the pub to buy something to drown my sorrows. Great atmosphere and was very impressed. Unfortunately arrived at a bad time as the owners were eating and my indecidion in choosing a wine seemed to.of annoyed the hell out of the male owner. The woman was a gemThank-you for your patience on such a very bad day.

Awesome people .the owners of the pub are just down to earth people .food to die for but if your really hungry try the best steaks in Victoria ask for there world famous rib eye you cant bet it .so if your in the area pop in have a great hearty meal cooked buy a master Chief in my eyes .a couple of cold one and just relax and enjoy the evening you wont regret it .only think I do regret I didnt discover this hidden jem earlier while we were working on the rail project
