Always loved your restaurant but today was a complete disappointment. I have ordered noodles with seafood, but from seafood found only two small shrimps and some small pieces for meat. Laksa soup wasn’t good as well, previously when we ordered their was a lot of mushrooms, but this time no mushrooms, instead fried potato, which was very strange. After meal waiter didn’t even bother to ask how was it.

the food was really nice and everything you see here about the menus is true . every member of staff we encountered spoke proper english and was extremely polite. it was also quite aesthetically pleasing. my friends and i had a nice time <3 (also really good music!)

Fusion Chinese cuisine, very tasty. Happy about vegetarian block in menu and polite personnel. Always fully booked at dinners but almost empty during lunch, so it’s the best time to go. Beautiful interior design, enjoying every visit ❤️

Excellent food, amazing interior, great vibes. The only negative moment was a waiter being really arrogant, he also brought not a dish we ordered but a similar, much more expensive one and then when we asked to get our money back they refused to do so.

Value for money is quite poor. As someone from South East Asia these guys miss the mark massively on taste and serving sizes for price is quite small. The place is great if your looking for a bar kind of vibe but not a great restaurant by any stretch of the imagination...

The food was ok. My family is Chinese and some of the flavours were quite nice but overall the food was not very authentic. I was missing the wok hei flavour in the ho fun noodles, for example. So for the price, I would say this place is not really worth it. Came to around €60/head. But seeing as this is the only place in Kiev offering this style of cuisine, I can see why the prices are so inflated.The dishes were well portioned to suit sharing in the group. We didn’t enjoy the atmosphere so much - the music was extremely loud and it really distracted us away from enjoying the food. The service was ok, again I think for the price we expected better and friendlier but overall it was acceptable.Now let’s talk about cultural appropriation. At the door greeted us two Ukrainian ladies dressed in kimonos and high heels dancing seductively. I found this highly inappropriate and offensive. Firstly this is a self-professed Chinese-style restaurant so having two ladies dancing in Japanese clothing and high heels shows pure ignorance. Secondly, having two westerners wearing makeup to make them look Asian (especially around the eyes), and have them dance seductively when Asians are much more modest than this and would not dance like this in public, is just tasteless and made us all feel very uncomfortable. This was probably the worst part of this whole experience and I hope you rethink what this means. Would’ve had more stars if it was not for the blatant disrespect for Chinese and Japanese culture.

Fabulous modern restaurant. Not typical Chinese. Just a hint of Chinese but delicious fresh foods with interesting designs. Served by Sergey the evening was perfect for us. We are older but really enjoyed the upbeat modern vibration. Very clean. Kitchen window Great as you can see the food being prepared. Overall recommended.

Today food and cocktails ware terrible. Is this due to todays shift of staff? Or overall did the quality got that bad here? I love this place, but today it was a disappointment. Food was burnt and oversalted. And cocktails - what happened here? Did you change to cheaper alcohol?The only positive today - friendly hostes and attentive waiter.

Aw yeah amazing food and service!! We came back after 2 years and is always the best of the best!!! Guys I suggest to come to visit this amazing restaurant!! This was my first time here. The service was good despite how busy it was. The food was very tasty and my Mongolian beef was the most tender meat ever. They put real gold on top of my dessert.I came back another time for soup snd deep fried duck spring rolls. They are now my favorite spring rolls.

Food was average. The noodles I ordered supposed to be spicy but they weren’t spicy at all, just bland.The restaurant itself was not cozy. The music is too loud and doesn’t go well with decorations, food.The disappointment of the night were the dancers. It was weird and totally out of context. Long sequined dresses, flower on the head in a restaurant that serves dumplings and noodles? I don’t get it. The guy took pictures of the dancers from extremely short distance. It all looked gross. We just came to eat good food, not to the club.

Amazing food and service...100% the best restaurant around Kyiv. Great atmosphere,casual yet classy. Food was so amazing and prepared so well we had to thank the Chef. Absolutely beyond words to explain how delicious every dish was. Thank you Chef and everyone working in the restaurant... Very polite, attentive and courteous waiters. Great new twist on traditional Asian dishes. English is spoken here. There is an inspired bar.It is in a great location right beside a subway station. I went a couple of times and was never disappointed. Best Asian food in Kiev to me.

I like the interior and how cozy is incide. Open kitchen is really cool thing. The food was good. And drinks was amazing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable , nice and fast.I think I was just expecting more from the food taste, Hector is one of my favorite chef. And when I finally flu from US to try his restaurant my expectations was extremely high.I got pretty good food. Tasty and nice presentation but nothing extremely delirious.Overall I put my chek mark in this place .

Love this place. Super nice guy that waited my table, spoke good English, made my Chinese noodles spicy for me. Prices are high for a Ukrainian restaurant but you get really high quality food and the restaurant its really cool. In Kiev? Check it out.

We love everything, food, drinks, services and atmosphere.

Went on a weekday night, not crowded. Food was uneven, peking duck was good, but the dumplings were average, worse than Ive had at most places half its cost. Drinks were standard. Ambiance was pleasant with a lot of open space in a modern-chic way, and I imagine thats mostly what youre paying for. Pleasant experience but not great value.

This is a very nice restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is very good too. Exceptional presentation. The deserts are a dream. The price follows the quality! However, I would not advise to take away the dishes as the presentation of the food will be ruined!

Came in for a quick lunch, and didn’t really think the high rating here matched the food. It’s a very nice interior, very posh (including prices), and the food was good but didn’t match the price point. I liked the open kitchen, and the menu has a lot of interesting options. Stop in if you want to catch a glimpse of local celebrities.

OMG!This place is chic! First of all interior, then innovations and finally food. Prices are high (especially for Ukrainians), but still I totally recommend to visit BAO.

The service is prime and the drinks were amazing! However the food itself was super average - the ho fun noodles were not prepared correctly so it would stick and break up easily, the salmon was dry, and the scallop salad was good at best, but the crispy prawn balls were delicious with the sweet and authentic tasting sour sauce. People who go here are probably paying for the atmosphere/to be seen more than the food itself. Would probably come back for drinks after dinner!

Highly recommended. Beautiful place with marvelous design, and the dishes are also "Instagram materials". We took many dishes to share and enjoyed those very much. The restuarant is expansive in Ukrainian standards, but cheap compared to any similar restuarnt in Europe the US or even Israel.

Incredible high-end menu (a bit expensive but worth it). Had the duck and several dim sum / dumplings, all topped with gold flake and caviar. Great service, even told us to stop ordering so much because the portions were good size and we will be too full. Very honest and correct! great place and stylish inside and out.

It is a new Chinese restaurant in Kyiv. The restaurant is very good. The food is Chinese but served in a unique way that makes the restaurant different from other Chinese restaurants I have visited.

Is the most amazing place to scape a hectic city... Here you will find the Best Ever Modern Chinese Cuisine with impeccable service. Inside BAO youll feel not in Kyiv but somewhere between Hong Kong and NYC.

Great place for dim sums and Asian food. Decoration is great, service is excellent, desert are really tasty and gourmet. Definitely a stop for Asian food connaisseurs

Bland bland food. Dishes presented to be very spicy came out tasteless!! Good service, nice interior, good location, but the food lets it down.
