Eye Specialists of Ohio in Greenup County

This was my first experience having cataract surgery, the procedure went well and was not painful at all.

I left my last appointment without being seen, because they ran patients around me and left me sitting in waiting room.

Thank you to the staff and especially, Dr. Egoff for taking care of me and alway’s being there for me and my eye’s, alway’s available when I need you.

I have had excellent service by dr. Egolf and all the staff!! Had problems after cataract surgery and they went above and beyond normal duties to try and correct the issues! I’m still receiving treatments and on my way to recovery

I arrived at 920 for a 945am appointment it was 1045 before I was taken back to be seen . Seems they were over booked or something! The waiting room was not clean to be that early in the day time. What I did notice about the staff although they were friendly with me and other they didn’t wear gloves or clothes the equipment before or after usage. I didn’t have a bad experience at the Portsmouth office compared to some they just need to have housekeeping person on hand and probably e vest in gloves for the staff as well as hand sanitizer.

I took a family member to the office in Portsmouth. The lobby was filthy and smelled really bad. The chairs in the waiting room were so dirty I didn’t want to sit in them. The staff was very nice how ever they did not clean or wipe down equipment after each patient and touched my family members eyes and face without gloves. I seen only one person use hand sanitizer. I would not recommend this place.

Very bad experience, very unprofessional staff. I was sent here after an eye exam at Walmart. No one was wiping down equipment before or after use, and no one was wearing gloves, I didnt say anything about the gloves in the moment because I didnt expect them to touch me, randomly the Doctor touched my eye ungloved and I was poked in the eye by a hang nail. I am not even sure if this is a legitimate establishment at this point.

Dr Egolf and staff are professional and caring.

Had an appointment and arrived a little earlier and was greeted with a locked door. They scheduled me this day and this time to show up themselves. I dont think Ill be coming back.

Consistenly must wait 2 or more hours past appointment time. Staff unresponsive and playing on phones more than working. Seems 8 or 10 patients are all scheduled at the exact same appointment time.

My experience with the doctors here was great from start to finish. I received great care. Thank you.

Tried going into the Portsmouth office to pay my mother’s bill and the doors were locked. Forget about calling the office, nobody ever answers.

Terrible service. Not accommodating at all and unprofessional. Very rude especially Dr. Egolf. Their website allows you to register and submit all the paperwork online. At least that is what it says until you have to do all the same paperwork at your visit. Avoid this company like the plague and spend the extra time and money to have a real professional take care of your eyes.

On March 30th, I went to Eye Specialists of Ohio to see if I was a candidate for Lasik. About 20 minutes after leaving the facility, both of my eyes started burning and watering, making it very difficult to keep my eyes open. Since they were still burning the following day (today), went back in to see the Doctor. After waiting over an hour, I was informed that they had scratched the corneas in both eyes. I was then told to go to my pharmacy to pick up a prescription. When I went to get the pharmacy, I was told that I would have to pay for prescription. I called the Eye Specialists of Ohio to get it straightened out. I was told, and this is a direct quote, the even though they scratched both of my corneas, and that the prescription was necessary only because of their negligence, that if my insurance didnt cover it, then "that is just too bad." I do not recommend their services.

It was a very good experience. Everyone was nice, professional and caring. No unreasonable waits. I was very pleased with the results.

I am very pleased with my new eyes. Now I can see without glasses, except for reading small type. I had the lenses in both eyes changed one year apart.
