I had been actively looking for a business to acquire for over a year. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with a handful of different business brokers and consultants from several different companies. Shiloh Sorensen was hands down the absolute best broker that I dealt with. He was the best for several reasons.First and foremost he communicates. You don’t realize how important that is until you work with a broker that does not communicate well. Our acquisition process took about four months. During that time, Shiloh would call me a minimum of once a week to review recently completed steps and plan out the required steps for the coming week. If I texted him, he returned the texts. If I called him, he answered or returned my calls promptly. If I needed information from the sellers, he would contact them and get what I needed. If I had trouble getting in touch with contacts from the bank, then he would step in and help establish communication. He made the process so much smoother because he communicated well and facilitated communication with the other entities.Besides communicating well, he was patient and willing to answer any and all questions that I had about the business. I had a couple experiences with other brokers where I got the impression that I was annoying them with my thorough analysis of the business. They wanted me to move faster than I wanted and always just pushed to make an offer. I never got that with Shiloh.
