First Southern Baptist Church in La Plata County

From the moment we walked into this church we were greeted and surrounded by love from the members. They have all made us feel like family and have invested in our lives and been a great support system. There are a lot of elderly folks who have nothing but love to give, and the church is in need of younger members and families with children to fill in the gaps. If you visit this church, consider not just what you can get from the church, but what you can give as well and how God can use you in the church. The sermons here are not going to tickle your ears, but encourage you to grow and strengthen you in your walk with God.

I have been attending this church since 2016, and love it! The people are warm and welcoming, there are lots of opportunities to develop community, and the teachings are all Biblically based. If you are looking to grow in your faith, or have questions regarding Christianity, this is a great church to attend!
