Great food and service there. Every one should go try it out and their deserts 2
They were very slow. I know they are usually slow anyways because they cook there food from scratch, but when u go there for lunch and it takes over 30 minutes to get your food. I mean come on u can find away to do better
Great food..great service!! Best friend chicken💯
Great, fast service with very good food
9/14/2022Weve stopped in several times over the years with the new location being located on the western edge of the Historic Boneyfiddle District on 2nd Street near the Portsmouth Brewery. This homey location draws a local crowd and its easy to see why. The service is top notch and the food is worth a several hour trip. If you stop in make sure that you give the desserts a try!7/28/2013Clean. A bit pricey. Plays classic rock. Most tables seat four and are located in the center of the room. Three booths that face into the dining room are available. Well lit but not annoyingly so. Parking is available but it is not close to the door. Street parking is closer but location is not in the best part of town. Staff friendly. Relaxed environment.
The ice tea was stale, I ordered the catfish plate when it came the plate had grease standing on the plate. When I cut into the fish it was RAW!!!! The Cole slaw was warm. The server asked if I wanted it recooked, like that was supposed to be ok. The chicken wings was Soo tiny. And when I called back about the price of the bill I was told the difference was because of dine in tax and it just so happens to be about the same price of my fish. Dont go Dont order its dirty and there food is RAW!!!!
Love there chicken livers... They was as good as my moms ... She makes the best Im pickie with chicken livers I would recommend with chicken livers but the brown gravy on my mashed potatoes was so salty and bad my dogs wont even eat it... Stick with the livers
One of my favorite places to eat! Yum food and yum desserts!
We just moved here and this was the first restaurant weve tried. It was wonderful!
The food is fantastic. The staff is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Highly recommend!
Food food. Down home cooking. Waitresses very friendly, good service.
My son and I had spaghetti & fried chicken and it was delish! Had great service from a fabulous server!
Always good food and great dessert selection.
Great food as always but so hard to leave that place without some of those 🍨
Good food. But prices. Are a bit high. Realy nice place to eat
Food was good as usual but the 15 minutes they said turned into 35 by the time I got my sandwich
Highly wouldn’t recommend this restaurant in Portsmouth, OH… Besides from the people who own it and work there being horrible people they r highly unsanitary. They smoke in the kitchen. Reuse same pans on raw meat. Have cockroaches and health department does nothing to them bc they r friends with them.
Love this place! Friendly service. They treat you like they have known you forever and their Philly cheese steak is the BEST Ive ever had hands down! WONDERFUL FOOD AND SERVICE!!
Coconut cake is WONDERFUL!! My BLT was awesome, the bacon was cooked perfect. I would have rated 5 stars but the onion rings tasted a little fishy like they had been fried in the same grease. I will be back though because I love this place.
Busy place tasty food delicious desserts good service. How could I ask for anything more under $20 a person?
The food was awesome and the service was great, they always kept our drinks filled and checked up on us often. They had very generous portions and all of the food was homemade and delicious!
Good food, nice servers, great desserts. Daily freshly made cakes, pies and other dessert options. Eat in or take out.
Slowest place on planet Earth 🌏 Although, I have doordashed for this establishment this review was from my personal experience with my family. Not to mention out of everything on the menu I tried to order. Comment below is very unprofessional. 🤦♂️
Always good. Best desserts in the county. Friendly good service. Good area around the mural.
Service was great. Food not so much. My friend had to send his pork chop and potatoes back they were uneatablethe meat had zero flavor or seasonings and the mash potatoes were gummy and of wierd texture. The Philly steaks was good and the fried mushrooms were on point. But I developed instant issues after leaving that lead me to the restroom nuff said.
Very friendly staff. Yummy desserts, from cheesecakes to coconut cakes, pies and homemade fudge. We ordered two subs, philly cheesesteak and an italian sub and they were delicious. 1
Food was good but service was awful. I called and had a delivered order. One dessert didn’t come, I ordered Pepsi and a Diet Pepsi. Nothing was said about it. Order came and there was a warm bottle of coke and a cold bottle of Diet Coke. I called to inform we didn’t receive one dessert and asked if I could please get a cold coke and she said “they are all warm. I don’t have time to put them in the cooler”. Fine, but I should have been informed. First of all, I should have been informed that it was coke products and not Pepsi and I should have been informed it was warm. I had nothing to drink with my lunch, a total waste of 3.00.
Absolutely best catfish and salmon patties Ive had. The macaroni salad is different but definitely good and omg... The coleslaw is soooo good. The baked steak dinners everyone liked really well. Definitely recommend this restaurant for anytime of day. The food was delicious.
Very good food and desserts. We will definitely go again!
Tasty food and awesome service. Absolutely love the chicken livers and you get a hefty serving. Desserts are amazing and again big servings! Last time I was there (I believe the guys name was John Bakerwas playing some beautiful music. I really enjoyed it! See ya soon!!!
Delicious Home Cooking with generous portions at fair prices. Friendly staff and the Best Dessert Selection in southern Ohio! Live keyboard music on Thursday and Friday (6-8 p.m.with requests welcomed.
The boneless fried chicken, onion rings and coconut cake were delicious!
Everything I have ordered from fork and finger has been delicious. I try to get different things when I do go but the Taco salad is the bomb and alllll the desserts are amazing !! Very nice atmosphere.
Quaint little diner style sit down restaurant. First time visiting good service, friendly staff. Fast to serve food ordered. Very reasonably priced menu Had the traditional club sandwich, it was very good. Will go back. Looked like they offer live music a couple evenings a week. Located on 2nd Street in Portsmouth, Ohio. Check the place out.
They have BREAKFAST! In case you didn’t know...because we didn’t and it doesn’t seem tone advertised anywhere. I had a veggie omelette, which wasn’t on the menu, but they made it work...comes with toast. The bacon looked good, the sausage patty’s were ok. The potatoes were also ok. They do have a wide variety of desserts that are served in large portions and are a great to-go addition if you don’t save room!
Highly recommend this place! The dessert was great and my blt sandwich was delicious with a thick slice of tomato on it! My grandpa loved the beef vegetable soup and my mom loved the homemade au jus with her French dip sandwich.
Live music was played and music request taken by older musician with broad knowledge of music , friendly people and good service. Food was delicious and moderately priced. Deserts are definitely worth saving a spot for also.
Small town feel and fast friendly service, Rubens are the best in town! Love em, truly the best! The coleslaw is very fresh and creamy again best in town! If you love Rubens try fork and finger! Never had the desserts but look very delicious.
This place is kind of small but packs a big punch. The prices are reasonable for what you get. Great portions. The fish and chips are amazing. The deserts are fresh made and awesome! Pineapple upside down cake!?! I definitely recommend checking them out.
I had the cheeseburger platter. It was delish and filling. Plenty of fries and the tomato was so sweet you would have thought they grew it out back in the garden. Had to take a slice of Dreamsicle cake to go and enjoy later with a cup of tea.
Absolutely Love the food. Good food good people what more could I ask for....
My husband and I went to Fork and Finger for lunch today having limited time to go out.The staff was fast getting us our food and it was very good tasting as well. All the deserts looked really good too.Ill be going back to try some of those soon!
Ive been a Portsmouth resident for a long time now so believe me when I say this is one of the most charming places in town! The dining area isnt the largest but what it lacks in space it makes up for in heart.I went with my brother and a few friends and we sat down to dinner. My brother and myself shared a check and even though we purchased two drinks, a 12oz stake (w/salad, mashed potatos, and fried veggies), loaded potatoes skins, a corn beef ruben, (w/ cole slaw and fries), we only spent about 35 dollars. All the while the help was friendly and very prompt. They were constantly clearing dishes from our table, refilling drinks, checking on us, ect.Upon entering the restaurant your eyes are greeted with a massive display case with a full array of pastries, cakes, and buckeyes, (an ohio favorite). Your ears are greeted by a talented gentlemen playing all manor of golden oldies on his keyboard. Your nose will quickly latch onto any of the excellent dishes other patrons are already working on.The restaurant was a buzz with warm faces and families who you could easily tell were happy regulars. The pianist greeted people by name with a warm smile, never missing a beat on his keyboard. He even went out of his way to talk to us personally, cracking lighthearted jokes, making friendly conversation, and taking requests.I would very much recommend. Its right for the price and people are extra nice!
Great family owned place, grea mit service been around for years and the best comfort food in scioto county. One of the last places to make fresh home made desserts daily.
Friendly staff, great home style comfort food, and wasnt overly crowded. Main dishes do take some time but worth the wait, ordered appetizers and they served the salad and cottage cheese ahead of the main food so you arent sitting there with a growling stomach. The portions are large and they know how to use seasoning. Love this place!
Such a hidden gem! Low-key, small, family-friendly environment. Large portion, reasonably priced, home cooked meals & desserts. Im always happy with my food & the service!
Pretty good food has all the usual home cooking meals and subs. The desserts they have are the best Id prefer an apple or cherry pie, but they have an rather extensive list.
Ordered baked spaghetti. It was a very large portion and it was excellent.
Known around the area for a home cooked meal, the hand breaded chicken was perfect! They were very busy, but still got the food out quick and hot.
Service as well as quality of food has declined drastically, and honestly I dont think I will be ordering anymore. I waited over an hour for a cheeseburger platter when it used to take 20 min max, I also got a piece of cake and it was a nice sized piece but after taking one bite I realized it was old and Im sure they were just trying to get rid of it. Come on guys, get back on track
