Was wanting a new to me pickup. Browsed Jim Butler in Centralia and found a 2014 High Country. Nader contacted me and I went to see it the following Monday. Experience was great and pleasant. Week later, no AC...went back and they replaced the condenser. Im very pleased with the pickup and the way they took care of me. I highly recommend you getting ahold of Nader and see what he can get done for you on your next vehicle purchase! Keep up the great work!

my best friend bought a car with only 28k miles on it from this dealership not even 90 days ago and he’s experiencing wear & tear issues with it already. he’s driven this car maybe 1,000 miles since he’s gotten it. the dealership apparently has a 3 month/3k mile warranty for power train but there’s nothing they can do to help cover the cost to fix these issues. the buying process was smooth, blake was the salesman & he was awesome, but, unfortunately, he’s no longer there. the process of even contacting them about the issues was horrible. my friend had to call several times because nearly every time he spoke to someone, he was told he would get a call back & never did. it sure feels like they just want to brush you off with any issues you run into. i understand he bought this car and will be responsible for future maintenance/problems, but this is wear & tear that he didn’t even put on the car & is experiencing not even 90 days after buying it!! i will say if he would’ve known this is how he would be treated after buying from them, he wouldn’t have bought the car. beware.

I had full plans on coming back to this dealership to purchase a new pickup After going in and getting the normal run around no big deal. I was asking a fair amount for my trade, of course they tried to devalue it....The day after paperwork was signed, it was on their lot for 6720 more than what they gave me on trade. This is the last time I will ever do business with this company. Also they sold us a new car that the heated seats do not work in.

This dealership goes ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! After a long month of searching for a specific vehicle we finally found it here at Jim Butlers in Centralia. Cortez was our salesperson and was absolutely outstanding. From being completely honest and on top of the sale to being so kind to my children, as they were being testy, while waiting to finalize the sale. We test drove the car and with a down payment brought it home for the night. Realized once we got it home, that the touch screen had been cracked, we thought we would have it fixed later if they wouldn’t accommodate. He called first thing the next morning to inform us the part had already been ordered he had just forgot to mention it, they will fix it as soon as it arrives. Go to sign papers and with two littles who were already antsy after an hour drive, they saw a ride on car outside, Cortez immediately gave them quarters to ride as long as they wanted! Towards the end they were upset and getting hungry Cortez stopped what he was doing to go get them bags of popcorn and water, another worker also stepped in and tried to fix a candy machine in the lobby that we couldn’t get to work and when he was unable to get it to work he gave them money to get something from the gas station. Our ENTIRE experience here was fantastic!!! I hope it is some time from now, but next vehicle we buy will be from this dealership and would 10/10 recommend anyone else to go here!! After dealing with several dealerships I can honestly say this place was the most pleasant and personable dealership I’d ever stepped foot in.

Salesman, Dave Chapman, went above and beyond to find the right vehicle that fit within the confines of my budget. Not only did he find me one, he found me a 2007 with 56,000 original miles. To say hes good at what he does is not telling the whole story. Hes hands-down the hardest working salesman Ive ever worked with; no hyperbole. The first car he found for me was a bit outside what i was willing to spend. So, he kept looking for the right car, and he definitely found the right one! He kept in contact with me. He actually listened to me, rather than merely hearing what I had so say, as is, sadly, the case with a vast majority of salespeople. In summation, he will work for, and with you to meet all your vehicular needs. Jim Butler is for sure the place to go. Ill never go anywhere else, nor will I recommend anywhere, or anyone, else.

The buying experience was amazing. Such great sales staff. However months later I still can not get the service department to return calls, and emails. My husband and I have tried for months and still not getting help. Because of this I would never refer friends or family to them.

Check-in was very efficient. Actual "servicing" (oil change, tire rotation, take a look at breakstook longer that I had thought/hoped. Young man who cashed me out at the end was efficient and friendly.

I was not informed of how much the service was. I was told $120, service was 1,500. Car has more issues with is after pick then when dropped off. The car is throwing a cam shaft code. also has the check engine light on. The car also smoked a lot when initially drove off the lot. I was told it is normal for my car to burn oil. I had to call several times just to find out the car was ready for pick up. The person I talked to said she had spoke with my step dad and told him it was ready. The car is not in his name. I was never informed it was ready until I reached out.

I have been truly impressed by the service that I have received at Jim Butler Chevrolet.It was easy to start because I worked with Dave Chapman, my sales associate, for several years and that has manifested into a fantastic friendship. I could go on for days about my high regard for Dave, but I am the first to admit it is a jaded opinion. That being said, when I purchase a vehicle it is because I feel comfortable with the salesman and Dave is as genuine as it gets.So, on to Jim Butler as a business. The first time that I visited the dealership, I was unsure about the vehicle that I came to drive, but they allowed me to take it home overnight to show my wife and consider it. By that evening, I had made up my mind that this car was not what I was looking for, and decided not to buy it. The next day when I brought it back and gave them my decision, I was in no way made to feel like I had wasted anyones time or made to feel bad about my decision. They were as gracious as I ever could have asked them to be.Fast forward a month and I was sent a picture of a vehicle that had landed on their lot that was very similar to what I had been considering purchasing. I went to test drive the car and once again was just not convinced that was the vehicle that I wanted to purchase. Dave then mentioned that they had another vehicle that was on my consideration list. I test drove it and it quickly became a top consideration. After working numbers on my trade and knowing that we were very close to a deal, again they insisted that I drive it over the weekend to make certain that it was the one. I came back to purchase it the following Monday.I will put about 60,000 miles a year on this vehicle so I purchased a bumper to bumper unlimited mileage and time warranty. The cost to me was worth the peace of mind knowing that other than general maintenance, this vehicle with not cost me anymore than the monthly payment and the fuel it takes it keep it running. Weston and Mike were both great to work with and made the experience both timely and pleasant. If you are looking for a vehicle, you should give these guys a shot.*Just for context...I spent many years in the business of car and motorcycle sales, both as a sales associate and a manager, and I tend to be a bit critical of this process. Job well done!

I was an idiot, and did an internet search to find our Suburban. I thought I was contacting Centrailia, IL, when in fact it was Centrailia, MO. Luckily it was only two and a half hours from us, and the folks at the dealership were amazing in getting most of the details knocked out over the phone. Their new Suburban was absolutely gorgeous, and there were zero surprises in the process. I know they are two and a half hours away, but I wouldn’t think twice about dealing with them again in the future. The kind and trustworthy folks there have made customers of us for life, or at least until that trust is broken. We couldn’t be happier.

Do not waste your time at this dealership. They do not care about their customers whatsoever. My entire experience with this dealership has been a nightmare. First, they sped through the financing process and put the wrong price on my title application. Then when I called to have that looked at they told me their computers weren’t working and that they would call back— they never called back. I had the car no more than 30 days and the gas cap broke. Took the car in to have it looked at, waited an hour and a half just for them to tell me it would cost me almost $400 but they wouldn’t be able to fix it same day. I highly regret buying a car through this dealership.

We called a week ago to schedule our van for an oil change. They ask for the vin number and said they would check to make sure they had the correct fluids on hand for our vehicle, and would call us to set up an appointment for service. As I said, that was a week ago and we haven’t heard from them. Needless to say, we have made arrangements to take our van elsewhere. We didn’t buy our van from them and won’t be using them for service.

They let me drive 4 hours round trip to come look at a truck that was so rough and rusty they had to remove the running boards before I got there so itd be less noticable how beat up it was... on a high end trim 2015 truck. Other vehicles on the lot with ripped leather that wouldnt start. Expected more out of large dealership chain. This felt like being on a shady little salvage lot with a few new cars mixed in.

Updated post Dec 2021: I went to look at used vehicles Black Friday Weekend and test drove a vehicle but decided it wasnt for me. BUT I test drove another vehicle on another small car lot and liked it. Since I already knew I was approved for financing at Butler, Town and Country was willing to work with Butler Chevrolet. Butler not only found me financing with a low interest rate fitting my maximum desired payment, they negotiated and picked up the vehicle from town and country and had their mechanics go over it and fixed 2 recalls before I took possession, one of which regarded the engine. Soooooo Happy with my choice! Im not even missing my beloved Grandam. Thanks Butler!Original post 2019: They put on a hub assembly today, so I havent had time to decide whether I should rate 5 stars, but I sure am happy that I had them do it. The loud car noise while driving has disappeared. I was afraid it was my engine, but I can now hear the engine purr like it should.😀 Update 3/6/2019: The new hub was installed properly. The car quietly glided after the switch with less resistance. So Happy with their work.

It’s a tough time finding a reasonable deal on a nice, used truck these days, but after about a month of searching mid-Missouri and further, Zach at Forrest sealed a deal with us yesterday on our new-to-us 2010 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. We were very happy with his eagerness to help us out and get us a deal we were comfortable with! It was so refreshing, after our last experience a few days earlier at a place near St. Louis where the salesman didn’t have the time of day for us and promptly declared there would be no negotiating. Thanks for doing a top-notch job at making us feel welcome and appreciated!

I talked with them by phone on Wednesday about a used pickup and stated that Id be there Friday to look at it. At that time I was told they had the pickup on the lot. When I got there, a sales person approached my truck as I pulled in, when I was barely stopped. When I told him what I wanted to look at, he immediately said that truck had gone to auction on Monday, then proceeded to show me a truck that was $20,000 more than what I was looking for. They also use stock file photos in their ads when they dont really have the vehicle on their lot. The sad part is, they actually had other trucks that I couldve been interested in if the salesperson had taken the time to LISTEN to me, instead of trying to upsell a more expensive truck to me. I wouldve rather spent my money locally, but ended up buying in Columbia instead. Their sales department is too pushy and lacks respect for potential customers. They couldve had a customer for life, but Ill never step on their property ever again!

Jim Butler is the best Chevy dealership in the business. Dave Chapman worked with me with the purchase of my Chevy Trailblazer and went up and above to accommodate me and Mike helped with getting me good financing. Also with me living in Arkansas, they helped with getting the delivered to me and getting the paperwork signed. Ill definitely recommend getting a vehicle from these guys.

Mr. David Pinkerton did a great job selling me this pre-owned ford fusion.However, when I called in recently, I was told by the people who put parts on vehicles that they would not put a remote starter on my car. I had received a quote from the owner of Forrest Chevrolet that this could be done. I like having my business done there as it is very easy for me to get to. Our Colorado is a 2017, weve been battling a squeaking brake issue since we bought the truck. They just finally replaced the pads on 8/13. So far no more squeaking. Why dud it take this long to fix what weve been complaining about. Just feel like weve been treated like an idiot. First they greased the leaf springs, then applied some sort of compound to the pads. If it had not been for David Thomas only God knows where this would be. Not impressed with the service department at all!!

Have always serviced my 2019 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab at Forrest Chevrolet and the service desk people our great to work with and have always received my truck back in perfect condition. Except the recent oil change my truck came back to me with a large paint scrap on the drivers side door handle. I immediately brought this to the attention Brian at the service desk, he took a picture with his cell phone, apologized and said they would be in touch with me soon.Two days later Trey called and set up with me a date to repair the door handle and apologized to me again.I appreciated very much the quick action the Service Personnel have taken to take care of this. I will continue to take my Silverado to Forrest Chevrolet for my Service.

I was looking for a specific vehicle. Weston and the team found exactly what I was looking for and they did all the work! They even went to another state and got the vehicle for me. I showed up at the dealership and after about 5 minutes of paperwork, I drove away in my beauty! I dont think I could have found this quality of service in the city! I bought a used truck from Forrest Chevy sight unseen. Will helped me out greatly – many, many pictures, videos, texts, emails, and phone calls were handled professionally and responsively. We made a deal in less than a week….I travel some for business, but chose to have the truck shipped, as I live 900 miles away. The truck arrived as listed with just 1 very minor issue which Will took care of after the sale, after delivery, and from 900 miles away. I wish I was closure to meet him face to face and to say thanks. Ask for Will if you are looking at their inventory.

Will and Carrie at Forrest Chevrolet made this the best car buying experience EVER!!! Will climbed into the backseat to show me that my kids would fit comfortably in the 3rd row , he also washed the vehicle for me because it was after hours and the detail crew were gone!!! who does that?? Have bought 3 vehicles there in the past. 18 months ago you rebuilt the motor of our truck ($4500and 25,xxx miles later it goes out again. Same issue. My guess is something was not done right as it should have lasted longer than that. Either way, it is unbelievable to me that Forrest Chevrolet would not cover any of the repair. When my wife showed up with the truck the service department treated her poorly. They told her, oh gosh that is just bad luck. She asked if they could quickly hook it up to the computer just to verify we should not drive it anymore. They told her no way until Monday. She asked if they had a loaner to get her home as we 40 minutes away. Again, no way (we will rent you a car). She called me and I came to pick her up. I talked to the salesman and all of a sudden you had time to hook it up to the computer to do a 5 minute diagnostic. It definitely showed me how much me being a loyal customer was valued at Forrest Chevrolet. I saw a used vehicle on Monday and Haley set up an appointment for that evening with Max.. when I walked in, everyone greeted me- despite it being 5:30 and them closing at 6. Max showed me the vehicle and made the process go smooth. He was very personable and relatable. I was actually not bored the entire I was there. I own a 2013 GMC Terrain, I bought it new (not from Forrest Chevroletand was recently told that it would need a new engine. My vehicle has 97,500 miles on it, and I had it serviced regularly. Forrest Chevrolet informed me of the problem and has done a remarkable job of handling this problem. Their teamwork is impeccable! I trust and appreciate their knowledge when it comes to taking care of my vehicle.

I needed a quick fix on a tire, didnt have an appointment. They said yes, that they could fit it in the day. They drove me to work and dropped my car off when they were done! They even buffed out some scuffs I had on my bumper & washed it for me! Fantastic Service! Thanks Forrest Chevrolet.

I have been dealing with Rick Evans for about 20 years now. Best salesman around a 150 mile radius. Forrest has a outstanding employee here. He goes above and beyond to please my husband and I when purchasing a new vehicle . Always gives us the best deal possible and then some.
