This is a really cute local bakery. Come enjoy a cup of coffee and a scone with a friend or by yourself while you meditate on life! Theyre baked goods are a little bit expensive but you do get a lot of food proportion. Theyre in dining area is small but very nice. They seem to keep it very clean.

Gable House Bakery created the most delicious desserts for our wedding! Nikki and her team were super professional and so easy to work with! We had carrot cake with cream cheese icing as well as chocolate chip & snickerdoodle cookies. Our guests were raving about how good they all tasted! Thanks for helping to make our wedding day an absolute dream! 🥰

I cant rave enough about Gable House! The baked goods, breads, and cakes from this business are the best! I have not had desserts that are better elsewhere. The staff is so incredibly friendly and cares SO MUCH about their customers. I was already a fan of Gable House when we booked them for our wedding. We asked for a themed cake, and they delivered the most perfect and beautiful cake - so much better than I could have imagined. The next day when we actually tasted the cake confirmed that it was even better than it looked. You cant get better for your special occasion!

This place has macaroons that are delicious and have the perfect texture. My husband likes the eclairs. If youre somewhat local make sure to sign-in for loyalty points.They make the most beautiful wedding cakes and desserts. Tell them what you want or give them more of a free rein. Every event weve attended with their desserts have always been a huge hit.We love the gingerbread kits at holiday times. It always comes with more decorations than I expect.

Great first experience with Gable House Bakery! We would typically always get our birthday cakes from Country Cupboard Bakery but unfortunately they had recently closed. I was scrambling to find another place for my son’s first birthday and had heard good things. I had reached out and within a few hours got a prompt response. They had our cupcakes ready right on time to pick up. They looked incredible and were delicious! I will say the buttercream is more smooth/buttery and a little less sweet than we were used to, but I’m sure this is a more authentic bakery buttercream and less commercialized - still delicious nonetheless. Awesome flavor combinations to choose from, as well. The birthday boy had no complaints - downed it in no time. We’ll be repeat customers! Thank you!😊

Very good food but part of the order was wrong even after explicitly covering it at the tasting. We wanted black icing made with chocolate buttercream and decided upon this after working directly with the owner to achieve the proper ingredient combination. We had a tasting with 3 icing options and the owner even wrote down exactly which one we wanted so they had a record of it when the time to make the actual cake came. Picked up the cake and the icing was made with white buttercream instead which is not what we stated we wanted and not what the bakery agreed to make. It tasted good and kept well, but the fact that the order was slightly wrong after so much work went into getting it right is a negative. Overall, I would still recommend the bakery to anyone but would advise being extra careful with making sure it is correctly made.

Awesome spot to take a meeting; cozy vibe with cool art and map of all of the local ingredients and places they share product with.

This place is great. We have only enjoyed their cookies so far but they were wonderful. We also had the traditional Christmas cookies and German cookies at the Christkindl market. It was worth the wait. We look forward to them next holiday season.

Gable House Bakerys cakes and cupcakes are absolutely delicious, and the decorating they for our cake and cupcakes were exactly what we had wanted! Nikki and her staff were a joy to work with (including when we had needed to postpone our wedding in 2020). Weve also had some of Gable House Bakerys non-wedding cakes and they are also beautiful and delicious - were so glad theyre local! If we ever need to purchase desserts for an event, we would without a doubt hire Gable House again!

Our absolute favorite place for any sweet treat, especially the macarons (I lived in France and these are as close as it gets to the real dealans their cupcakes- perfect light cake and such delicious buttercream. We get our goodies at the Lewisburg farmers market and the people who help us are always kind and accommodating. The best!!!

I came here for tea and a treat with a dear friend after a massage. The place is phenomenal. I highly recommend.

What is not to love about this bakery! The baked goods are fresh, made from scratch and have terrific flavor! If your looking for a great gift for the office, order some of their amazing cookies or specialty whoopee pies. Looking for dessert? Order a delectable homemade pie or cheesecake. Whatever you order, you cant go wrong at Gable House! Get there early for fresh out of the oven baked bread in several varieties. Follow them on Facebook for special bakery promotions (they have some great promotions from time to time and this is where you will see them)

What a wonderful, unexpected find in little Mifflinburg. Their cinnamon rolls are amazing. Cupcakes melt in your mouth. Looking forward to trying other goodies!

Gave 1 star. Thats as low as you can put to write comments. Cookies were thick, dry and hard. What they call a whoopie pie is garbage. Small, thin, dry cake with sickening sweet filling in it. What a waste of hard earned money. I dont know how this place stays in business. We will never go back.

I knew right away when I was planning my wedding that I wanted to get my wedding cake and desserts from Gable House Bakery and Im so glad I did. We absolutely loved the cake and all of the desserts. We got so many compliments about our desserts during the wedding. We also enjoyed coming in to go over the details for the wedding and doing a cake tasting. Nikki has been wonderful to work with!

This small town bakery, and lunch and breakfast cafe does an excellent job of what they do. They offer a patio for outdoor dining but the indoor quarters are cramped. But they are a new company with plenty of customers, so expect them to move in a few years.They offer a fairly wide variety of baked goods: bagels, doughnuts, pies, cakes. Their specialty is cupcakes. They also have soups and, I think, salads, though I haven’t tasted them They do offer coffee for lunch.The bakery goods are delicious. My wife and I have tasted several of these and were very pleased. We will definitely return for more.

Locally owned. Fantastic, friendly staff. Ive ordered on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Super delicious and always gorgeously styled. I highly recommend, even to my friends in State College! Worth the drive.

Im not sure how to reply so I need to add another review, but I did ask why there wasnt an entrance without stairs and the worker never stated there was. Maybe she was having a bad day. A sign would be extremely helpful as it took me half hour extra to get kids in and out of stroller and ensure belongings werent taken from it. I spent $65 that trip and the other trip i made there was around the same price. We got a little of everything from the case the first trip. I remember cookies and donuts, as well as bread from shelf and some misc items in bakery thing. No pies. The bread was good. But the items in the bakery case were not fresh. The girl wasnt doing much while there. Again maybe she was having a bad day. I had 7 kids with me and they all picked out the items they wanted, so it was a variety. Your location isnt ideal, i understand that. But if you have a door our back you should tell your employees to let people know who specifically asked why there wasnt an easier way to get kids inside. We were there end of the summer and then in Oct. The trip I am speaking of was in Oct. I will try your items again in the future to see if it was just a bad experience with the worker and not the bakery.

Not really a fan. Ive ordered here twice and both times the things i got tasted stale and dry. The prices are kind of high for what you get. There isnt a way for anyone with a stroller or in a wheelchair to get inside. The worker saw me struggling to get the kids inside and had to leave the stroller outside.

Ive ordered here many times and keep coming back, such good quality! Definitely fixes my sweet tooth!

I have ordered from Gable House on several occasions. They do such an amazing job in everything they do. This past weekend they provided a gorgeous cake and deluxe whoopie pies for my wedding. My dessert table was such a hit and there was nothing left on it by the end of the night! So delicious! I have ordered a couple specialty cakes from them and they have always gone completely above and beyond. I will always order from Gable House and I will always recommend them!!

We used gable house bakery for our wedding and couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. We had a special request, and they delivered! GHB recreated three dessert using my late grandfathers recipes. Just like how he used to make him! We also had a red velvet cake that was honestly so so good. Prices are super reasonable and service was great. Would definitely recommend!

This is the best sweet-goods bakery in the area by far. Their chocolate goods are made with very delicious, high quality chocolate. Their donuts are delicate and flavorful. Everything looks and tastes delicious. I cant say enough good things about them!

Took my boys (6&3into the bakery, after sitting so well for haircuts today. It was a whole new experience for them and there were sooo many fantastic options for them to choose from. We bought many items, and so far they have loved every one of them! I doubt the items will make it through the weekend! The bakery was very clean. The ambiance was inviting. The staff was very friendly and very patient with my boys’ many choices! We will go back again and I suggest you stop in and try them, too!

This bakery makes everything from scratch. Its beautiful inside, has $2 bottomless coffee, and a variety of delectable treats (cookies, macarons, muffins, brownies, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, cheesecakes, and more). The staff were helpful and friendly. There is outdoor patio seating available behind the shop. Prices are reasonable.

I have nothing but good things to say about Gable House. The baked goods are always delicious and the service is always friendly. They catered our wedding, showers, and special events. I highly recommend their deluxe whoopie pies & biscotti. Gable House also provides excellent gluten-free options, including bread, cupcakes, and biscotti. Their shop is a great location for meetings with friends or just an afternoon away to yourself. Highly recommend!

Everyone always says that no one remembers the cake at a wedding but it seems ours is the exception! In the weeks since our wedding, every guest I have talked to has raved about the delicious cake Gable House made for us. Working with them was so lovely and they exceeded our expectations with the beautiful and delicious cake, mini whoopie pies, and cookies. We even ordered one of their delicious pastry trays for the morning while everyone was getting ready! I cannot say enough good things about our experience and will definitely be back!

I’m not even from the state and traveled all the way from Boston to host my gender reveal at my moms in PA. I heard this place was awesome. I Ordered a cake from them for my gender reveal. Cake was very dry and not tasty. However, I decided to give them another try and contacted them 2x now for cookies for my shower. No one has bothered to contact me back or return any of my emails. I have no interest in purchasing from this bakery any longer and made this clear to my friends and family in local Mifflinburg.

The Gable House is not just a delicious bakery with the most incredible treats baked from scratch. It is a pillar of the community and a safe space for all. If you havent been there yet and had a deep conversation with someone, youre really missing out.EDIT: On my most recent visit, I went there to get some of Nikkis delicious bread. She had some fresh loaves coming out of the oven in 20 minutes, and since we were only a couple blocks away, she actually brought it to us when it was done! Talk about amazing service!

Booked a tasting for a wedding cake, because they looked amazing online... What a joke. Got three frozen slapped together tiny pieces of cake. The clerk couldnt even tell us what flavours they were and the baker we were meant to meet with had left for the day. As for the taste - if you enjoy three pounds of sugar in your buttercream frosting coupled with dense tasteless cake, youll love it. If not go anywhere else. Finally, their signature raspberry jam wouldve tasted better had they gotten it from a can. Honestly, dont waste your time or money.

Cheesecakes are delightful! The creme puffs & eclairs are our go-to sweet snack. My kids have enjoyed every flavor of whoopie pie they have chosen!

Offering a vast assortment of pasteries and cakes, including but not limited to whoopie pies, sticky buns, custards, donut bites, scones, etc. Along with the baked goods in their enclosed case, they do made to order items as well! The coffee bar serves East Africa coffee and cold brew options are also available.A must stop to fulfill your sweet tooth and relax for a little.

Our wedding cake was awesome. The lemon and raspberry filling was superb. We received so many comments asking who made our cake. The chocolate cookies were just fabulous. Again so many people asking who baked our cookies. We would and will recommend you whenever possible. Thanks for great job.

The birthday cake we ordered for our daughter, was awesome. They did exactly as we wanted with the "40", being cut out. The people who attended the party were just in awe of how delicious it was. It was a huge success, highly recommended. Great job!

At Gable House Bakery you will find homemade baked goods, sourced as locally as possible. The honey whole wheat bread is amazing eaten both plain or as turned in to french toast. My personal favorite is the raspberry danish, warmed up, absolutely delectable!!! Located in the heart of downtown Mifflinburg, its worth the stop every time you go by!

I really enjoy visiting Gable House Bakery. The treats and tea are delicious. My favorite would have to be the peanut butter deluxe whoopie pies. Also, their bread is delicious. especially when its still warm, fresh from the oven.
