I recently had the privilege of working with Jenny Gatze and her Real Estate team while searching for a home in Canon City. As a remote tech worker who knows little about Canon City and few local people, Jenny helped me not only find a home but also introduced me to several businesses, organizations like FAR and TechStart and local people to help my transition to Canon City.During the house hunting phase, Jenny really listened to the price level, area and features I was looking for in a house and worked very hard to make sure I was one of the first people to view a house. Since I drove 2 hours to view homes, she only showed me ones matching my criteria and didnt waste my time showing me houses that didnt. Even when I couldnt view the house in person, she conducted video tours which really helped me decide if the house was a good match and also allowed me to be the first person to put a contract on the house I eventually bought.During the purchase of my house, she patiently explained the process as well as the many documents to be signed. If Jenny wasnt immediately available, she promptly returned my calls. As a busy Realtor, I really appreciated her extra efforts to answers all of my large and small questions in a timely manner.Jenny not only spent a lot of time showing me homes, but went the extra mile by attending the house inspection with me and working with a local electrical contractor to get a quote in my absence. Jenny is not an easy person to deal with. I have my home listed for sale by owner. She called saying she had a client that was interested in looking at the property. She tried taking control of the entire situation. I explained to her that I would be handling the transaction. It was not what she is use to and continued to try to pressure me. In the end a scheduled phone conference call was ignored and no contact was made to tell me the other party changed their mind. I wonder if the buyer even knows. I never received a courtesy call, email, or text to tell me that the call was cancelled. Not good business. Not a person I would do any future business with.

She dealt with our pickiness and my husband’s “jokes”!! Didn’t matter the time or where she was always willing to help. Ms Gatzke is not my agent rather the agent for the buyer. Given that, I would never choose her as my agent. She has created so much drama; certainly has not worked toward a "win-win" as I read from a newspaper article that previously interviewed her. Her controling style, in my opinion has created so much pressure that I have wanted to pull out my hair. Today, I asked for a meeting with her broker, my realtor and myself. During our private conversation with the door closed, she walked in...no knock, no excuse me, no Im sorry. Rather, I need to get something off the printer. I was so taken back, I wanted to walk out!!! Thankfully I have a kind, caring realtor. The broker was very helpful in clarifying my concerns and questions. If I wanted to kill a sale, which I dont, it would solely be because of Ms Gatzke.
