I purchased a new rv trailer. The customer service, no pressure sales and in-depth explanation of how everything works on my new rv was awesome!

Bought brand new 2022 grand design rv online from 500 miles away. Told by rep that called to be there on a certain day. Got there and not on any list, did not know we were coming nor prepared for us. Asked us to return hours later, went to do the walk through and bathroom door is hanging off, trim around slide is hanging off, advised would be fixed. Then told trim not available would order and ship to us. Left with trailer and lucky we stopped to stay a night since we were there so late. Opened trailer and bathroom door hanging off. Returned the next day, fixed again. Checked it, looked fixed, got home to Pensacola and door is hanging off. 5 months later did not receive trim. Looks like they never ordered it and lied to us. Do not buy from them. Service dept sucks. Unorganized.

All I needed was a new battery today. They could not connect me to parts for 5 call attempts then even with all the RV data they couldnt tell me the battery I needed. If General gave me a free brand new RV and free service for life I would decline. What a terrible service experience.

After buying my 2022 Rpod 193, there was a leaky front window and leaking water heater which had me pretty bummed out. I took it in for service 2 weeks after buying it and I have to say, they took care of me. They parted out another Rpod 193 to replace the damaged wood, adjusted the fold down bed, tightened the connections at water heater, replaced my electric jack with an upgraded 3500 pound jack, sealed the front window, and then went and put fresh sealant around all the other windows as well as the roof. They also did a full inspection of everything else. They then did a full walkthrough with me before taking it home to ensure everything was done right and to ensure there weren’t any other issues.

Just purchased my 1st ever 5th wheel RV. Eric our salesman was friendly and helpful. Our F&I manager, Chuck was awesome! Knowledgeable, helpful and even provided his cell phone number over a holiday weekend should I have questions. This was despite me arranging my own financing! Anne, our delivery coordinator was very friendly and kept me well-informed during delivery day. Best of all was Kathi, who walked us through everything we needed to n ow to successfully use our new camper! I truly felt like a VIP, thanks to Kathi, Anne and Chuck!

Please read other reviews. I wish I would’ve followed advice of one of the other guys commentNathan Baer1 review10 months agoGeneral RV is good on the sales and financing end of things, but after that they vanish!I will not walk but RUN back to Lazy Days for my next purchase as I had previously purchased two RVs from their Tampa store and they know how to follow through after the sale and keep a customer up-to-date on with warranty and service issues that crop up. I tried to go local this time but I cant even manage to get a call back from their service department on two tiny warranty parts I needed and during the process two of their service advisors quit and I constantly have to explain the whole situation each time I call them back.

This place was all about sales and all around bad experience. The guy selling it wasnt so bad its what happend the day i went to get it. I got there at 9am. There were a lot of things wrong with a camper that cost 167k dollars. I have the pics to show the price. I had to be in arkansas the next day for work and they knew this.. they show you around a little and then want you to go to the waiting area.. they rush you thru.. i kept walking outside cause i was there till 6pm. One guy over flowed a tank and blew my second bathroom toilet seal out. And i heard him say he is driving 18rs it will dry out. If you keep going out they will stop working on it. I knew their were problems but i needed it for work so once the saftey issues were done i took it. Up all day and night worked 12 hr nightshift no hot water still when i said thats the most important thing...hotel time..... whatever.. i came home after 28 days and brought it back to them told them what was wrong with it and said i had to leave in 3 weeks. The service department told me they were very sorry and they would have it ready in 3 weeks. 3.5 months later i get it back and things were done half butt to say the least.. they cost me my job and didnt even care to try and pay the payments for my lost time. I have in writing it was going to be done in 3 weeks but never believe them. I pay them off every 5 years but i will never buy another one from this location. I hope their other dealerships are way better cause i like the higher end campers. Im very sad to have done business there. Hope everyone else has better luck. Still waiting on a valance and cup holder that was missing and its a 2022. Ill probably never see that.. and they wanted me to pay for it because heartland wouldnt because they steal from other campers to get it fixed.. they have been the worst of my 27 years working and living in campers. They also screen your calls and wont answer.. keep using different friends phones to get thru. Thats the truth or you will be sent straight to voicemail

We had a great experience! My fiancé and I worked with Tara Devoll, who was as patient as she was knowledgeable (and boy, is she KNOWLEDGEABLE!She really knows her inventory, and gave us several things to consider that we didn’t even realize were options. We are very grateful for the time she spent with us, and when we make our decision and are ready to pull the trigger, we will definitely be calling her! If you want to buy an RV from someone who will patiently answer all of your questions and infuse your tour with some humor, ask for Tara!

The buying process was smooth and easy. Getting a table that was supposed to be in my RV is a different story. The service department did an initial order but forgot to add the actual table top to the order so only the table leg showed up. 3 weeks later we finally have the top but no screws to attach the top to the leg. The table is removable and stows under the couch. Was told by service department that I need to bring my entire RV in to have this removable table attached to the leg. Im not making a third trip across town to have this done.

Stay as far away as you can. We got a brand new 5 wheel Grand Design in October last year. Have had continued issues with the kitchen slide not working right plus leaks they cant find. It has been in there several times and at one point almost a month. Had to cancel a trip after we started because of this slide issue. We lost money on that. They say the slide needs to be resynced when ever it doesnt work right. You get different stories from who you talk to. This Monday will mark two weeks from when I was told by the service advisor that management will be calling me by the close of business that day. Empty promise. So now we have a very large yard art that we are not comfortable using because Im not physically able to do things that are needed to bring the slide in. Their word means Nothing. Stay as far away as you can.

This review comes after a couple of years of dealing with the General RV on Wells Rd. In years past the service department has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. These headaches would start from the in-take process and only get worse as they days went by. Recently there have been a lot of changes made in the service department. The manager Chris D has worked very hard to implement these changes and see them through. We used to dread having to deal with the service department but I feel like with his changes the customer service will improve drastically! He is very personable and isnt afraid to talk to you if there is an issue, which we appreciate. One thing that has stayed consistent over the years is John Lemen in the sales department! He is extremely knowledgeable, honest and works side by side with you throughout the entire process. Lou in the finance department is great! He is friendly, proficient and wont try and sell you something you dont need. Weve purchased 3 RVs over the years and have always dealt with John & Lou. I highly recommend these guys if you find yourself to be a customer there. During our recent purchase we had Jason W as our delivery specialist and I have to say this was the best delivery experience weve had. He was very thorough and answered all of our questions. His attention to detail on the prep was like he was preparing it for himself!

Went there to explore options for my navy veteran father to get an RV. He was told originally they could get him something with $250 payments with a co-signer. I go up there with him and suddenly it’s a whole different story. They only want me to take out the loan, and quoted 309-349 payments for a 12 year loan. Then talk to the finance guy and he says more around 395 or more. All this while they pulled my credit several times, and continued to push my dad to pay more money as a down payment until they convinced him to put all of the money he has to his name. I did not agree to buy anything. I was told the paper I signed was me granting them permission for a credit check… even though they had already done so several times. I made it a point to ask if we decide not to buy anything if my dad would get that $2500 deposit back and we were assured that he would. Once we told them we were not going to buy anything they suddenly retract everything they said. That the paperwork I signed was to purchase an RV and that they would not refund him his $2500. I would have told my dad not to give them a dime had they not assured us that it would be refunded if we decided not to buy. These people are shady, dishonest, and ridiculous. I would recommend anyone considering this place to find a more credible dealership. Be smarter than myself. I wish I had read the reviews before agreeing to go down there with my dad. He is now severely stressed because he now is out that money. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. Read paperwork before signing and never take their word for anything because they will lie. Lesson learned.

Run, run as far and as fast as you can. Ive had worse experiences in my life, but they were typically in places like Afghanistan, in a war zone. If youre considering a new RV or travel trailer, do your homework. Dont make the mistake I made. Remember the adage "Buyer Beware"? That certainly applies here. There are way too many other options out there, and I highly recommend everyone take advantage of those options before blessing this location with your presence. If you want details, PM me, and I will share. I should have stood up and walked out when every fiver of my being was telling me to run... but I did not. Dont put yourself in that situation folks. This will end up costing me thousands, and I will take that hit as recompense for my weakness and for not having listened to that little voice in the back of my head, but I will not take it silently. I will have a sign created for my new travel trailer that reads - "Purchased at General RV and regretting every minute of it." Then I will tow this travel trailer as far and as wide across this country as I can and give a testimonial to all who ask. Oh, and did I mention, I havent even picked up the unit yet... that should tell you something.

I have been trying to get help with my warranty claim since April 14 and its now July 16th. Every time I call I get a different person and no one seems to be able to help me. I call every single day trying again and again to get help but still I get nowhere. Everytime I call I cant talk to my service advisor because hes always with a customer or day off. I leave messages for him but never receive a call back. Ive asked for the service manager and owner operator and still no call back. Can someone PLEASE call me back.

Incompetent at Best, Unethical at WorstMy elderly, disabled mother visited this dealership to purchase a large travel trailer. Due to her documented disability (hearing loss), and the dealership’s lack of attention to her disability, there was a significant miscommunication about the final stages of her purchase and delivery. This miscommunication led to us driving 5 hours to meet the delivery driver who never showed up because the dealership did not clearly communicate that my mother (who was paying cashneeded to come to their office to do a final walkthrough (she could have done a walkthrough when she was initially at the dealershipand issue final payment for the trailer (something that could have been arranged differently [e.g., in advance, via notary, etc.]). In addition, my mother verbally declined the service package, but the final purchase contract still contained this extra charge (thousands of dollars). Fortunately, we found this fraudulent charge and had it removed. When I called to discuss the delivery issues and the additional charges with the dealership, they put me through to Steve Nottingham, a sales “manager” who had so little control of his emotions that it was impossible to have a productive conversation with him. When I suggested that the dealership did not deal properly with my elderly mother, he said that was “crazy,” and when I suggested that the staff could use some training on how to deal with elderly and disabled customers, Steve Nottingham became extremely emotional and said that “[I] don’t get to come into his place of business and tell him how to do things” and asked how I would like it if someone did that to me in my place of business. Had Steve Nottingham had better control of his emotions and seemed more reasonable, I would have told him that I actually welcome feedback on my professional work because it helps me to improve. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like professionalism and customer satisfaction (as evidenced by the numerous negative reviews and Better Business Bureau complaintsis of any concern to this dealership if they allow someone with this sort of lack of control and emotional issues to speak to customers. When I said that I wanted to cancel the purchase, Steve Nottingham gloated that they had gotten my elderly mother to put down a $10,000 non-refundable deposit. When I told him that I needed a minute to think about how to best handle the situation, he hung up on me. Steve Nottingham seemed so emotional and unprofessional that I was concerned about allowing my mother to go there alone to finalize her purchase (I live out of the state and had flown back home at this point), so we had her project manager go with her to ensure that there were no additional charges added to her bill or miscommunications about delivery or emotional outbursts from employees like Steve Nottingham, etc. There is a reason this dealership has so many negative reviews and unresolved complaints. I would avoid purchasing anything from them, and I certainly would not allow members of vulnerable populations to enter into any legal agreements with them as General RV in Jacksonville is at best ill-equipped to handle such interactions and at worst will take advantage of these individuals. On a more positive note, my mother was very happy with her salesperson, Andres Soto, and Anne Reddish, the delivery coordinator, who was very professional and did her best to resolve the delivery situation.

Chris Spurlin is one of the rudest, most dishonest salespeople I have come across. Not only did he lecture me on paying cash versus financing, he then offers me a price higher than the price listed online. When I pointed this out, he simply walked away. Beyond rude, lost sale, but I am grateful that Chris and General RV showed their true colors before I gave them my money. Avoid at all costs.

Absolute garbage! The unit we got (2023 Thor Sequencehad everything wrong with it. The awning, Gas line leaking, tables torn, screws everywhere. Not to mention they messed up the paperwork for the registration, made us go back and forth to the dealer and parts were not ordered. They even like screwing their own team, poor people at service have to deal with things the sales department should have at time of delivery. But your RV somewhere else!!!!

Long story short, details below - I do not recommend buying from here. The only pro is the huge inventory, and the sales staff was generally pleasant to deal with. But after that it’s a huge disappointment. I’ll speak for the mid level bumper pull tier - maybe different story if you’re buying a pusher or high end 5th wheel.Details - originally was only looking at used units, but ended up finding a new Grand Design we liked that wasn’t much more than a comparable barely used one (massive used inventory available - recommend looking at RV trader or FB marketplace or any of the used rv lots around the area - especially if you’re experienced and know what to look for).Don’t let the idea of the warranty on a new one sell you on the purchase - I got the sense they are slammed with repairs and their service department incorrectly set up a warranty repair job for me 3 times over 3 months before I gave up fighting. Every time I would call for an update they told me there was no actual service schedule because parts weren’t ordered, and parts weren’t ordered because nobody actually submitted the correct documentation. I eventually left the area on a military PCS, tried to talk to the service manager but got voicemail and no reply to date. As far as I know now, they still haven’t completed the order.Nail in the coffin - for a mid $30s trailer, you’ll pay about $2k for “delivery fee” and $2.5k for PDI (pre-delivery inspection). That’s only on new models, so another reason to avoid buying a new one. Also, the cost of both of those is conveniently related directly to the cost of the unit - it’s nothing but profit boosts for them. Anyway, PDI - your supposedly paying for them to go through the unit, check all the systems and condition of the trailer, clean it up from the manufacture. When I did my final walk through on the day I picked the trailer up, I found multiple discrepancies with the trailer and other signs they clearly had done nothing other than turned on the fridge and put tire shine on. The PDI guy was supposedly taking down notes to submit for the repairs, and he told me they would schedule the services and repairs and I could bring it back then, so I signed the papers and drove it away. DO NOT DRIVE IT AWAY! He apparently never submitted for the work orders, parts never got ordered, and the cycle began. I am certain they would have done or said whatever it would take to get me to leave that day with the hopes I just wouldn’t follow up.Summary - huge inventory, nice sales staff. But horrible service department and customer follow up.Recommend looking at Gander down in St Augustine, or Optima near Ocala. Or again, do a private sale. The market is saturated with barely used units, and you can avoid thousands of dollars in useless dealer fees.

Parts department is unreliable. Went in to order a part and heard nothing. 10 days later I call and get put on hold for several minutes. Then the precede to tell me they needed more info. B.S. they had all of it just trying to defend their incompetence. Still on hold hour later. Hung up to speck with GM. Of course hes not going to talk to me. Next day I get a text saying they found the part and could order it. Sorry already did it and it was cheaper to.

DONT BUY HERE!!!!!!Absolutely the worst experience Ive ever had ever in my life. First, buying here is the longest experience Ive ever had in purchasing a travel trailer. Everything here takes a very long time. That was accentuated for me because I had a newborn with me. Then they do a walkthrough where they talk and talk and talk about things on the unit. Some of the stuff that they talk about doesnt even apply to the unit that youve purchased. Its very annoying and last a very long time. Then they take you to the store and show you things that you could purchase for the unit. These things dont all go to your unit because the person who did the walk through with you is obviously not super familiar with your particular unit so some of the things we purchased we had to go back and return. We bought a brand new unit. There has been problem after problem after problem. I feel like every time something was supposed to be fixed the service people create more problems which is why we have to keep bringing it back in. On top of them not fixing things correctly they also dont return your calls, are extremely rude to you on the phone and will even hang up on you, and keep your unit for weeks on end even though you have an appointment. Once you finally get your unit back you will notice the inside is not like you brought it to them. They leave water bottles all over the place my curtains are taken down they took down other things in the master bedroom. In addition the floors will be filthy. They dont clean up after themselves and its absolutely disgusting.Honestly they absolutely deserve zero stars for their poor service.

Bought a 2022, class CWorse service I have ever experienced. Still waiting to get an update from 5/5/2022, Ben. In their possession since. their answer is “no updates available”, seriously, we have lost valuable time on a brand new RV. Will never use their company for anything, in the future. Once they fix the issues that is it . Avoid at all cost. I contacted the corporate office and thought there may be some assistance, nope, they too can’t get an update. Pretty sad if you ask me. Trying to help avoid this occurring to others. Beware

DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR RV HERE FOR REPAIR! THIS LOCATION HAS ZERO INTEGRITY.Brought our 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2150rb in Sept 2019, for a delamination issue on slide side. Got lots of delays & runarounds supposedly due to employee changes & miscommunications. We lived out of state at the time but visited to check status, and then relocated to the area mid November, at which time we stopped in & were shown our unit in the shop with the slide off, mid-repair. Finally picked up our camper in December, repair price tag was OVER $10,000. The whole side of the camper was still rippled, but they said its normal, they also said once we drive it off their lot, we accept the repair as "satisfactory" and their warranty is voided. Wed run out of patience and took our camper home. Looking at the slide-side of the camper now just makes my stomach turn over. Every. Single. Time.Responding to General RVs obligatory reply: Thank you for the response. For the record, on October 1st, 2020 I did send our info on file but anticipate receiving a generic reply chiding me that its been nearly a year since the repair.FOLLOW UP May 2021 - June 2022 & counting: As expected, we never received any response from General RV.

If I could give this RV dealer no stars I would. They are incapable of doing RV repairs. Had hail damage to RV. Needed slide cover and awning replaced. Body damage fender and hood. Husband calls and was given an appt for 3 mo out and told they would deal with insurance and order parts. 1 mo prior to appt. I call them and while they have appt on calendar they do not know what the appointment is for and they have not ordered any parts. Meanwhile I call my insurance adjuster and they made NO contact. So I go into dealer and am wait 20 min for service tech/appt person. I am met by an obnoxious, rude young woman who simple states " I am busy and dont have time for this". My husband then calls and is told bring the RV in for estimate. Simple ford parts and awning. OK we do. Weekly we call both dealer and insurance adjuster. Dealer did not make contact with insurance company. Dealer/Service does not return client or insurance adjuster calls. After 3 mo we went elsewhere.

I cant even give this dealership 1 star but I had to in order to post the review. We took our RV in for an appointment on April 12th 2022. More calls, emails, and texts have been sent to our Salesman Brian Roy and Service Manager Travis Greenwood regarding the status. For 1 month they said no one has yet looked at the RV and finally said they scheduled a May 11th appointment. Seriously....we had the original appointment April 12th!!!! Since May 11th we have left text messages for Travis Greenwood only to get NO REPLY still here on 5/23/22. In a few short weeks it will be there 2 months and the only thing we have gotten since dropping it off is 2 monthly statements for payment on an RV we cant use!! DO NOT do business with this dealership!! They are unprofessional and a DISGRACE!!!!

We had a great red carpet experience when we bought a brand new camper from Ocala General RV at the end of last year. However, its been a horrible experience with Orange Park General RV trying to get items fixed as well as putting items on the camper that were missing. We scheduled an appointment to fix several items and after arriving to pick up the camper several items were not fixed after they said they fixed it. It is now May and we cant get a straight answer on when they can fix the remaining items or return phone calls. Extremely disappointed in how things are handled "after" the sale and will not be referring others to buy a camper from General RV.

I had my RV for 5 days .Called them about defects found that were not found on initial inspection before taking ownership. Cracked windshield, pin hole on lcd screen on telescoping TV and a broken trim piece on front grill.I Called the dealer they wouldnt honor it according to service department.I cant even get anyone to call me back its been 5 months. I also have a defective part that was found and honored by the dealer but they didnt have the part. They had to ship it to me and me have another RV dealer fix it so I dont have drive back another 300 miles to them . No one in my area will touch it unless I pay for it out of pocket. Very very poor service but thats what the BBB is for. Now I have it at a Ford dealership diagnosing that the motor servo for the engine AC is the wrong part that they sent me and found that the ac and heater hoses are hooked up backwards. They want $1100 dollars to fix . Dont buy anything from this dealer their customer service is a joke.4/28/2022 Well guess what I recieved in the mail today. A notice letter from Winnabago advising that there is a recall on their model Winnabago about AC/Heater hoses hooked up backwards so I guess I wont be getting my money back for paying out of pocket. And dont Trust the General manager Chris Dietrich he doesnt return calls either.

Do not return calls, shady practices with financing documents, make excuses, lie during walk through and making corrective actions. If i could do 0 ⭐️ i would. Do not recommend this place at all. We did a walk through and pointed out several issues to correct. We were assured that they were fixed before leaving, but they were not. Called and just got excuse after excuse about no one being around to help and would have someone call me back but no call back. They do not care. And they have some shady practices with financing. Listed price on docs well above what was advertised online then said one interest rate but when i questioned it they said well we can give u lower rate blah blah blah. So out of blue you can give me lower rate? Why not offer that from get go. Never again.

This is worse RV retailer I have worked with. I worked with Brian who was not responding well to text messages and sent me Jeff who was less than enthused to help out. I also did an online chat and was assured that a sales person would be in contact with me but that was two days ago and I still haven’t heard a word. I a called today to speak with the sales manager and of course they were all busy and they took my name and number and no return call. They clearly don’t need to sell their trailers because I have cash in hand and can’t a sole to return calls. If you looking for goodcustomer service visit RV one on Merrill or Gander in St Augustine Bob was great to work with. Don’t waste your time with these humps. I’m also told they have lots of added fees.✌️✌️General!

Our salesman Ed Evans was awesome (only reason they are getting the 1 star they got). The rest of the experience was about as horrible as can get. Dont expect good customer service. On the scheduled delivery day our camper had some issues, they spent 5 hours trying to fix them and told me it was fixed only to get home and it wasnt fixed. I found 5 spots on the roof that werent sealed and a slide out seal ripped. I remember during the price negotiations the sales manager trying to justify their $2500 "prep fee" stating they spend 6 hours going through these campers when they arrive. This one must have been inspected in the dark. I expect some issues with a brand new camper being the way they are built, but i also expect the dealer to communicate which they have failed miserably at. I have emailed, called and been bounced around to every department and left voicemails with no call back even after letting them know that there are leaks. I will never purchase another camper from this place and after the initial warranty work is completed I will be finding somewhere more reliable and has better communication to take my business to.

We’ve bought many campers throughout the years and we were very happy with General RV. The ladies at the front check in desk, Jeff (our salesman), Lou in finance we’re all great! We didn’t feel bullied or pressured into buying anything. Their website is awesome with lots of pictures and a video, so we knew which camper we wanted before we even went. Octavia was so helpful with the BEST personality. Kathy (spelling?did our walk through and was extremely thorough. Overall we were very pleased and would definitely use them again.

This is my second time buying from General RV. First in MI and now in FL both time the experience has been excellent. The sale representative Tara was great, my daughter loved her since she was so nice to her and very patient with us. I also have to mention the sale manager Steve, who was above and beyond on information and through all the buying process. We are really thankful to them and the team who help us when picking up our new RV who were also great on information and education on the new unit even when we have experience from the previews unit there always new things. The only negative point to mention is that we were surprised went they passed us a bill over $200 for installing my own weight distribution to the new unit, something I didnt know I were going to be charged for, so before the hook you unit to your tow vehicle make sure there is not charge for it . How ever General RV is a great place to buy from and start your new adventures on the road. I highly recommend General RV and definitely my family and I are loyal General RV customers. Thank you General RV.

I can not say enough good things about Travis Greenwood. The best service advisor Ive had at any RV dealership ever. Ive purchased this RV from General RV in October 2020. I have had it in several times for warranty items, upgrades, and an insurance claim repair. Before Travis I never knew what to expect. Work took a long time to get done, a lot of times it wasnt done right, and I usually ended up having discrepancies on the final bill. Since I have started working with Travis I have not had one issue. His communication with me is great. I always know what is going on with my RV while its in the shop. He puts the customer first, this guys a keeper.

I bought a camper from them in June of last year. This year in June I brought it in for a repair. They removed the damaged trim and molding, then discovered they ordered the wrong parts. Instead of re installing the pieces, they left my trailer torn apart and put it out in the weather for five days. Molding, trim, and screws removed. Interior wood, and fiberglass exposed to the weather. It was a particularly bad week weather wise and it rained every day. Well the back wall of my camper is severely water damaged. I could tell by tapping on the fiberglass that it was different from the unaffected panels. I bought a moisture meter and sure enough, severely water logged. I will post pictures of before the repair, how they left it in the rain, a letter I made their service manager type up for me admitting their error, then pics of the moisture meter. It has been several months now and no one has even called me. Stay away from this place, or they might ruin your camper also.New update. After 8 months general rv finally repaired the cosmetic damage on my trailer. They “inspected “ the water damage they caused to my camper. The work order said that they inspected and found no moisture. I refused to sign it. They took photos of the moisture meter they inspected with. The back wall still had a reading of 13% moisture. Originally it was 76% and over several hot months reducing like this seems normal. They would not give me my camper because I wouldn’t sign the work order. We contacted a lawyer for a consult because I’ve grown tired of the BS over the last year. I returned the next day, requested that they remove the moisture comment from the work order and I’d sign it and be on my way. They ( Chris Dietrich refused and still refused to give me my camper. I asked what legal grounds they have to keep my property if I don’t owe them anything. No good response. I took photos of the write up and sent it to my wife. She sent it to the lawyer. Within ten we were told by the lawyer to get the camper , and get off the property. Also that they violated the motor vehicle care act by estimating my repair at $1300 then performing the repair and trying to charge$2000 when I came to pick it up. Without ever telling me the repair would be more than the estimate. My camper was rushed out and the bill was fixed immediately. They tried to forcefully make me sign a work order saying there was no water damage ( obviously was by wrongfully and illegal withholding my property.STAY AWAY

We had an awesome experience. After visiting other dealerships, we contact Matt at the Ocala store and he informed us of a rig in the Jacksonville store. We drove up, took a look at it and placed a deposit. The staff in Jacksonville answered all our questions and concerns and were very accommodating. We drove back up from Ft Lauderdale 2 days later and the staff stayed late so we could do our delivery inspection and go home the same day.

I don’t like pushy sales people and probably came in a little guarded. I really didn’t plan on buying anything because it was my first stop. The salesman didn’t pressure me. I told him what I wanted and he showed me what he had. They took my car on trade for a fair price and the camper was below MSRP and a little above NADA. I appreciated the walk through. It was very helpful. Staff were very courteous. When I came back to sign the paperwork we realized the car was a year older than I’d told them. Bobby the finance manager didn’t skip a beat. They didn’t change the offer one penny. When I came back to pick the camper up it was near closing time and raining. My hitch needed to be reset and I didn’t have any tools with me. A really nice young man (I wish I knew his namestayed and fixed it for me at no charge. Found out later my boss bought his RV from them too and liked them. I did shop around a little after I put a deposit down and a lot on line but I didn’t find anything better. I’d say so far I’m satisfied.

Great experience and friendly staff. Jeff Lavalle was our sales associate and was very helpful in locating a travel trailer that fit our needs. Steve in the finance department made the paperwork easy an painless. Jenn, our delivery coordinator was courteous and friendly and was right there to ensure we had a great experience. Cliff gave us our walk through and went out of his way to fix a small problem we found. Mike, the technician who installed our brake controller, was awesome and explained every aspect of operation and safety in detail. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience at General RV.
