Fresh fish on display. I have NEVER seen that in any fish and chip shop. Well Done. We ordered crumbed fish which was crumbed and then grilled. Not deep fried. Absolutely delicious. Chips were thick cut and cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I would definitely recommend this shop. Thank you George and Kids !!

The food is quite good, i love getting some chips and nuggets from here every now and then. only issue is the service, not amazing and food can take a while to be ready, there is an older guy that seems to yell often, and doesnt like when things dont go his way, would be 5 stars otherwise, would recommend! :)

Best fish and chips in town for sure. Been here maybe 10 times, and 9 out of the 10 it has been amazing.I also love how their menu has real photos of how the food is made - not those fake pictures from other take out.

Flake, battered sav, battered prawn and chips were excellent, potato cakes and calamari rings were not the greatest. Potato cake was mushy inside and the calamari rings were like those white fish type like I&Js not a real squid ring. 8/10

Im backpackering around Australia since last year. I have travelled and tried fish and chips a lot. This fish and chips is one of the best Ive tried. We can taste that their fish was fresh before cooked. They have thick potato cake and generous with seasoning. And the burger was taste super as well! Like it!

Must have copped George on a bad day. Encountered a very aggressive and ignorant bloke.If you are going to sell fish then you have to be honest. Your butterfish was not mullaway it was hake. Your flake from W.A. was freshly frozen not just fresh. This little encounter was memorable. 9/10 for the product.

Probably the best fish and chips i have found in the region. Multiple options for the ways fish or prawns are cooked with great atmosphere amongst staff and customers. Nearly every nighttime visit the shop has consistently had local people flowing in and out which by itself is a good recommendation. If you like your fish grilled as we do, ask about the various options. We have tried 3 and all have been good.Sometimes up to a twenty minute wait after ordering because of the volume of customers but worth the wait. Tonight I purchased grilled king prawns for our fussy mum and she loved them.

A madly eclectic mix of memorabilia and furniture awaits inside. And on a busy Saturday night the personalities and low-level mayhem behind the counter make this place well worth a visit for a takeaway feed...

Fantastic fish and chips and great people. There seem to be a couple of people marking them down for being rude... Definitely not in my experience. They do seem to enjoy a bit of a banter which could be misconstrued if its something youre not accustomed to.

I was paying by credit card, and the owner expected me to tap without seeing the amount hed entered into the credit card machine. When I asked to see it, he said, "Do you think Im trying to swindle you?". I explained that as a matter of good practice, I always see the amount before tapping. Otherwise, youre "signing a blank cheque". He made a simple request into a very awkward customer service experience. 1 star. Would be reluctant to try this shop again.

We had king prawns with an avacado and mango salad for dinner tonight.I bought the prawns from George and they were the best I have ever had.Its wonderful to be able to buy such fresh seafood so far from the ocean.Thanks George and family, I will be back for more next time we feel like a special treat.

Fantastic. As soon as we got the order, we instantly said "What value!" Best schnitzel burger ever and burger with the lot was fantastic. We couldnt finish our $4 worth of chips so weve now donated them and theyre feeding a small African village. Potato scallops were gold too.

PERFECT feed after a long day out for the hole family. From Burgers, steaks, chips and more that we had tonight were cooked perfectly to our liking as we asked. I have personally not come across another fish and chip shop fresher or better than Ive had from George and kids fish and chips. So worth traveling for.

Do not stop here!We have just had the worst experience with every possible detail at George And Kids Fish And Chips.This place had a high rating and we were looking for dinner so stopped past.An instant smell of fish hit us when we walked in but we persisted and placed our order. We were HIGHLY overcharged and paid $38 for some chips, a burger and two drinks.The staff were covered in grease and looked like they hadn’t maintained their personal hygiene in days. Food and grease covered clothing, bare hands handling food and resting fish on their clothing while battering. It was a nightmare.When we got the food, the burger was completely raw with soggy lettuce and tomato.... that is all besides the patty that was on the burger. The rest was so over salted, we had to throw the whole meal in the bin.Feeling ripped off and waited 30 mins for our food.Might need to call health services to be honest.
