Beautiful campsite in the Fall. Clean, comfortable restrooms. We were surrounded by kind campers this weekend! The flip side: the campsites are very close to each other. The place had a lot of rules to go with all the activities and resort-like feel.
Beautiful clean and quiet campground. Was there in October, so pool not open, but the leaves were colorful, the weather cool, which was perfect for evening campfires. Close to everything Gettysburg. Already booked for next October, and this time for a full week.
Excellent campground. Clean, very nice spacious sites. Very friendly and helpful staff
This is definitely one of our favorite campgrounds. Its set in a beautiful forested location and very well maintained. The staff are all pleasant and helpful- they really own the customer service idea. Plenty of amenities. We stay 2 or 3 times each year and will definitely continue to do so.
Everything was great. Sites are nicely spaced, staff extremely polite. Cannot say anything negative.
This was a great KOA. Clean, quiet, each site was well maintained and the staff kept up on everything. The store and people that ran it were helpful. Highly recommend.
We absolutely love this campground! They were there to greet us as soon as we pulled in the driveway and led us to our campsite. The staff was absolutely wonderful and answered all of our questions about touring Gettysburg. They had maps and were even able to set up the actual tours. They have a wonderful store where we loaded up on souvenirs, gifts and food. The camp site itself was spacious and woodsy… Which we love! We will definitely recommend this campground to family and friends and we will stay there again if we are in that area! ♥️
Nice area but not a quiet campground. The staff isnt very friendly either.
Another great stay here. Always a pleasure. Great staff and awesome campground. Lots to do in the area and on site. Breakfast was really good and a welcomed start to the day. Campground is very well kept, amenities are plentiful, and everyone is very friendly
Great campground every time we come they have great activities and I rarely do repeat campgrounds and this is my 3rd time here and will be coming back nice bathhouses and great dish washing stations 5 stares all the way around also you could just come here and never leave the campground because they have several activities everyday
Awsome campground, Can accommodate any and all types of camping, from tents all the way up to 5th wheels and luxury cabbies. Anyone who is visiting Gettysburg and wants to camp this is the.place to go. If you just want a weekend getaway like we did, they offer weekend breakfast $$. Nice pool area. A clean camping store that was well stocked. Events in the evening for the family. Fenced-in area for the K-9s. Definitely a return visit
Nice people nice hiking trails good water easy in and out. The entire campground is crusher run gravel which is good if it rains but not so fun to look at or walk on.
Probably the nicest landscaping of any KOA weve visited recently. Close to the attractions in Gettysburg, with enough at the campground to keep you busy.
We have stayed in over 100 campgrounds over the last 20+ years of camping and Gettysburg KOA is definitely in the top 5, beautiful, well maintained, creative, well stocked, friendly attentive staff.
One of the best campgrounds I have stayed in. The employees, the grounds, activities, things to do were excellent. The restrooms and showers were five ⭐. So nice I am thinking about remodeling my home. A great place to camp. Highly recommend.
Great Campground for families and close to Gettysburg National Park. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. They have a small pool, mini golf, shuffleboard, outdoor chess and connect 4. The sites are wooded and like most KOAs close together, but the Campground was quiet and everyone seemed to observe the quiet hours. They also have cabins which are very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
This is a nice KOA. It is quiet and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have an off-leash dog park that the fur-babies enjoyed.
Horrible experience ruined the whole trip. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend and started to pack up our RV site. My senior citizen father arrived from staying locally to help me pack up. Parked in the adjacent spot that vacated earlier that morning. Knowing that he hadnt registered, he then went over to an employee that was collecting refuse and asked, "is it ok if I park here for little while just to help pack up, wont be long". I kid you not, this employee, who will remain nameless, started screaming, belittling, condescending to my elderly father saying "Get out of here, You are not superior", . I heard this from the next site! To see a senior citizen treated like this in a family establishment is outrageous. My children, his grandchildren started crying. My father instantly drove away. I walked over to the employee and said "I understand rules are rules and we will follow them, but that is not how you treat a human being. He then started yelling at me. I began walking back to my campsite and he followed me, taunting me all the way back to my site. This only ended once I got management on the phone. There must have been 20+ Witnesses to this. The icing on the cake is that management instantly contacted the owner and told me to expect a call. Guess what, no call back.I should have known to watch out for this employee, because the day before this same employee helped me to my site. As we waited, a poor older lady was trying to back up her RV and hit a tree. Instead of trying to help her, he laughed at her and said things I cant repeat. This particular employee seems like a very hard worker but is very unstable and needs to be retrained in customer service.Other than that, it was a very lovely KOA, I have stayed at over 20+ in the last year. Clean, lots of activities, all other employees were super sweet and kind. This would have been a 5 star review but the owner doesnt care unless you post on a big site like this.
We recently stayed a few days at this campground. Our stay was very positive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The pool was great. We felt very safe. A special thank you to a young staff member, Kennedy for her help with our dog Rolo. We hope to return for another stay
First time staying at a KOA. This place is awesome! Lots of activities for the kids. Well maintained sites. Loved the store. The gals working in there were the sweetest. Would give it more stars if was an option.
Lovely little campground, awesome location but on the website for tents it states the site will have a sand pad to pitch but it’s all gravel here. Just wish the website was honest as I would’ve properly prepared with a tent pad/air mattress. Nothing wrong with rocks just give a proper notice for travelers :)
Return visits are always awesome. I stay with my family, when Im in town. We use the lodge with bathroom in the shower right there. Kitchen is great for backup cooking. We love to cook on the fire. All we bring our linens. Everything else is provided. The owners and staff are thoughtful and care about the quality of the campground and your experience. My favorite place.
Nicely set up tent sites, great little store with reasonable prices and bathrooms are well kept. Only wish the bathroom was a little closer.
Great location, quiet, friendly staff clean and lots of "things" to do at the park...swim, mini golf playground etc.
Excellent place, staff is fantastic. Sites well shaded. Only negative thing I have to say is site 8 needs the large bolderd that is in the back end of site right where you step out of your camper removed, big trip hazard. Totally enjoyed our stay. Mini golf, pool, and other amenities are fantastic. Well return! Way to go KOA!!!
The only thing I wish they had was water in the cabin, but it was pretty close by. It was a great experience for us and our dog Oliver.
This is the BEST KOA and Ive stayed at a bunch. First of all, the place is wooded, so youre not baking in an open field in the sun. Second, it is clean and well-maintained. The new porch on the camp store / office building is gorgeous. The bathrooms are very clean. Even their basic cabin includes a mini fridge. I come there 2-3 times per year and the staff is extremely friendly. its a few miles from town which is nice because you dont have the noise / crowds.
Campground is outstanding! Clean bathrooms, great sites, nice little store and the staff is excellent!
Had a wonderful time with our children in a cabin. Campground clean, helpful staff, lots of trees and great amenities. Close to historic sites. Would definitely recommend and well definitely return.
We checked in the evening of Friday, July 1st and checked out on Monday, July 4th. Over the course of the 3 nights we could not find anything negative to say. Staff was polite and helpful, amenities were clean, and the events for the weekend were fun for the kids. We would definitely recommend a stay here!
The best camping experience ever. (camping my whole life, over 50 years Every aspect was A+. The site was big with giant rocks bordering the sites. Everything in the whole camp ground looked new and fresh. Amazing.
the staff is very friendly and work very hard to accommodate the needs and or requests of the campers who stay the park is very well kept and clean highly recommend this RV park if coming to the Gettysburg PA area
Very pretty campground! A very nice man met us at the entry and took us to our site that he picked specifically for us because of a medical condition I have. All of the staff Very Happily accommodated us and the site was Awesome!!! Every employee we interacted with were all very nice.Theres A LOT of things for kids there! Including a very nice heated pool, 🏊♀️ mini golf ⛳️ and a pirate ship ☠️ playground that looks brand new!!They also serve soft ice cream and every Saturday & Sunday morning they have a pancake breakfast.... Theyre pet friendly....the bathhouse we used was spotless! The showers are tiled and were very nice! They had good water pressure and adjusting the temperature was easy......They also have a nice store! They had A Lot of rv supplies too.We had a fantastic time! We especially loved seeing all of the history in the area and how its all being beautifully preserved. We Definitely Recommend the Gettysburg KOA! 👍👍🌭💛🏕💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️
This has been our favorite campground so far! Spacious, well maintained sites, lots of activities, and don’t miss weekend breakfast. We will definitely stay again.
Weve just started our RV life and this was the first campground we stayed at, during a month-long trip down the east coast. And it was the best one. They had a hiking trail for the dog that was hilly, like hiking at home, a dog park, and the sites were tiered, so you didnt feel like you were on top of people, and there was lots of nice vegetation. Would definitely recommend this place and will stay there again if we are ever back in the area.
Great park spots are leveled and well maintained. Enough space for your rig and vehicle. Dog park the cleanest ever. Plenty to do and see in the area. Great staff.
We stayed here years ago and it was good. Close to Gettysburg. They have space for all types of RVs, and tents. Site are close. We normally camp in National/State Forests or boondock. Cabins are available. Family oriented, a few games, playgrounds, pet areas, pool (very clean), campstore with essentials and miscellany. The dump station is in front and good access. I hate making plans and they have found a spot for us. If I was doing a vacation, I’d make reservations here.Great staff Ray, Kennedy, Emily, Bob. Very clean place and the staff work hard to make it so. We saw Ray and Bob a few times, they have a gift of customer engagement and taking care of the property. This is a good place for families.
First visit since 2016. Great staff, clean, organized VERY family friendly. Amenities are incredible and many. Kennedy, Emily, Nicole, Bob and Ray could not have been more attentive and accommodating (except for the no senior discount thing), but all in all we will Mos Def return during the week though when kids are in school.
Not very friendly. Very small sites. No fire ring provided. A hike to bath house, pool, playground. Was not pleased at all. In fact we left after only 2 hrs. Wanted me to park on the street outside the campgrounds and walk to the site, which is pretty hard if you have health issues, on an upgrade. No activity sheet given. Just not a good experience. I will not be back
So peaceful, love the little cabin, and fire pit. Food was awesome!! Definitely planning on going again next year
My family stayed at this amazing KOA over Memorial Day weekend. We had a 2 room cabin right next to the playground that sat on a little creek. This was insanely convenient for our 6 year old to play and crest her own adventures. This campground is shaded really well by beautiful tall trees. They had a scavenger hunt that led the kids and adults all over the place and was really engaging for everyone. They also had tie dye activities, a live band and amazing breakfast on the weekends. We brought our new Husky for her first camping trip and to say it went well is an understatement. Even the teenage daughter said she had a good time and wants to come back.
Beautiful hidden gem in the mountains! Friendly staff clean restrooms and shower! Cabins were top notch and roomy! Will definitely go back to this campground!
The cabin was clean and offered basic amenities. The babbling brook right behind us was an added bonus we all enjoyed and my son loved how close the playground was. The store was great and the staff was friendly. This is one of 3 different KOAs Ive used and so far, my favorite. We were here midweek and out of season so cant speak to any of the fun on-site stuff, but we will be back to get the full experience at a later summer date 😀 The heated pool, outside games and mini golf are certainly tempting
Friendly staff. Nice camp spots for tents, very accommodating with special request to be close to restrooms due to some disability issues
Very nice campground. Conveniently located to Gettysburg and Chambersburg. Several pull through sites, and large back in sites. Very dog friendly. Full hook ups. Shady. We have 37 fifth wheel and had no problems accessing the backroads (curves and hills, but do-able)
PRO: Lots of options for enjoying outdoor life. Lots of cabins, tent or RV spots. There’s put-put golf, swimming, playground and hiking trails. Sites are big enough for our 35 foot with slide-outs. Most of the surface is level gravel with larger boulders in the groups of trees that cover the property. Staff is friendly and helpful. Propane fill-up. Also a fenced in pet area. Whole facility was clean.CON: Getting into and around the grounds in a larger rig is a little tight, but doable. There is no grass if your pet needs that for a potty.
Our trip to KOA Gettysburg/Battlefield was amazing! The site, campground and public restrooms were very neat and clean. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Being our first time camping the staff member that guided us to our site and helped me back in. It took less than a minute to do thanks to him.The campground’s location was great. A short drive to all the attractions. We even found a zoo 25 minutes away.My two kids had a great time. My 12 year daughter enjoyed the freedom of walking around the campground. My 7 year old son loved the playground, mini golf course and the big rocks on our site. The only downside to our trip was we had to leave. The owners and staff should be proud of the work they do.
We started a family tradition, this will be our 3rd year.We absolutely love camping here, the staff is excellent and our cabin is always clean and ready for us. We are creating memories for my grandchildren for a lifetime, highly recommend!
It was a campground to get away for the weekend its a beautiful clean campground unfortunately there was not one lick of grass I didnt like the fact that I had to park my camper next to a bunch of rocks and I kept tripping over them, not many friendly people. If you have a camper make sure you have a bathroom in your camper I also didnt like the fact that I had to drive every time I had to use the potty. Being new to this campground I thought maybe they would explain to me where everything was but they just hand you a map and send you on your way this wouldnt be one of my top priority picks for a campground. rocks and stone everywhere.
We LOVE this campground and stay frequently. Its just the "right sized". Sites are nice sized and well kept. We love the mature trees and rocks surrounding many of the sites giving the feeling of privacy. Staff are always super helpful and their assistance in getting us into our site is priceless. We love the amenities and special activities offered. Other campgrounds will have a hard time matching this one!
