What a pleasant treat! Im a moderately experienced comic collector and was blown away by the selection, the costs were excellent (they dont inflate the prices on recent back issues or variants.As the owner said, it is a community of people that are in the store. (Seriously, they have customers that just help out in the store). I would visit constantly if I lived here but I like that I have somewhere cool to go when I get to come back. They are very accepting of everyone and they have a ton of knowledge.I could go on forever, but check them out. Take your time, it could feel overwhelming at first. Tell them what you like, they have great suggestions and suggestions. They also have an Instagram account that they keep up to date with info.

Massive inventory and a great place to chat about comics!

Its a cool store if you know what you are looking for- because the layout inside is more of a warehouse than a regular store- they have a bunch of comics (dc/marvel/other, only 1 manga shelf so if you are looking for manga dont expect much , nice shopowner , they also sell some pokemon cards.

Upon entering, the store looked completely messy and unorganized and smelled like a musty basement. Once spotted by someone who worked there, I was told I was not allowed in since I was a tourist and not a store "member". Not sure if this was an everyday thing, but it was a bit surprising. Had I been able to browse, Im quite positive I wouldnt have stayed very long or purchased anything. It didnt look as if they had anything of much value or of interest to me.Maybe they had some really good key books and back issues, but theres really no indication of that by just walking in to so much disorganization and the fact that I was turned away from shopping there. Any comic book collector visiting Amsterdam should avoid this shop.

Manga review:If youre strictly looking for mangas and not comic books then this one isnt worth your time. The selection is tiny and any manga you find in here would easily be found in every other store.(Reply to reply)In that case Ill give it a while before coming back and make sure to update my review accordingly!

Perfect comic book store! A cute dog welcoming us into a crypt of comic goodness. Kind owner, good prices and more stock than humanly possible. Most definetly will come back!

It is an amazing comic store with a lot of different comics. If you want something you can mostly always find it here! Good prices, cute dogs and super sweet staff! Its always fun.

From far the best comics store in town, the guy is helpful and know his stuffs.more than 2 millions references! And important point the prices are fair.he don t over charge for variant covers . A comic store as it should be! A bit undergroung and authentic! Ill come back

Was not sure, if it was a store at the beginning. There were 2 dogs at the store, lots and lots of boxes everywhere and no price tags. The owner was busy talking to a friend, so yeah... Im sure the selection is good but if you dont know whats where in the boxes, its kind of useless to check every single box.

Impressive the quantity, quality & rarity of the books on display. Besides that, the onwers knowledge and friendliness make sure you want to go back.

Where do I start? So... this is not your usual store. This place is unique in every way. When Google Maps led us to the front door of an old "grachtenpand" and there was a man smoking beside the front door, we thought we hadnt followed the directions correctly. "Go on inside," said the man. So we, two young women, stepped into the dark hallway that smelled like cigarettes. "Why?" we thought. "Why did we go inside? Did we just allow ourselves to get kidnapped?" But then our eyes adjusted to the dim light and discovered comic book heaven! This store has such an amazing mood. People smoking among the mechandise, shelves with totally random and unorganized stuff like Black Series figures, Super Famicom games, a Coca Cola collection. Tables are crooked, longboxes falling apart from use, unsorted classic toys on the floor... AND IT IS AWESOME! Youre in 70s America and it. Is. Awesome!! You better plan out an entire day júst for this store. Theres backissues going back all the way to heck knows when, trades from various eras and publishers. If youre a comic geek, or just a regular geek, you gotta come here. The owner, what a great guy, he knows everything and he can get you everything. He somehow knows where everything is (so there ís a system, we just couldnt find itand hes ready to help. Oh, and Ive mentioned cigarettes and the smoking, but dont worry. Ive been coming here a while and nothing Ive ever bought smelled like nicotine. (They cast some kind of spell to prevent that, I think.So dont worry about the cigarettes or the mess or the darkness... just take in this mood, have fun and take home some comics for criminally cheap prices. As they say on eBay: Great seller. Would buy again. AAA!!!

Literally the best comic book store in the world

The shop is pretty cluttered and smells like cigarette smoke. The staff are neither friendly or helpful.I used to go to the other CIA occasionally that unfortunately closed down. That shop was small, but really well laid out, and the folks working there were so friendly and passionate about comics.

Large collection but the store is not organized

The most unorganised and dirty comic book store I have ever been (and Ive been in several of them). It is small and dark. One of the staff was smoking inside the store so the smell was terrible. Definitely not coming back here.

We showed up at 1815...45 minutes prior to them closing according to the time posted on Google and they were already closed. I was very disappointed and not happy. There was also nothing outside the shop saying it was the comic shop.

Expansive comic bookstore with an amazing collection of (veryold and new comics. The owner knows his stuff and is always willing to help you to find that special book (and their prices are quite fine too!)

Im always looking for comics when visiting new cities. And coming across this gem was lovely. One of the biggest back issue dungeons I have ever seen. Filled out my collection. And the guy working was very knowledgeable and helped me find tons of missing issues. But as the owner put it: its either heaven or hell. Heaven for me definitely.

There is NOTHING this comic book store doesnt have. And on the OFF chance that they dont have what youre looking for at this store, their other store definitely has it. If you are at all into comics and in Amsterdam, this place is a must visit!

Not fair from Thiago to give me such low stars. I cant go to the basement to fetch the comics that he needs when I am alone in the store. Anyone could steal !!!!Also the first time he came he didnt know which numbers he needed.
