Lightning fast service, good quality food

This spot was amazing. The gentleman was very polite, and even brought our order out to our car while we were waiting. If i am back in the area soon, I will definitely visit again.

This was my review four years ago: Great tasty food. The service is very good too (5 stars). At the time, there was a window for customers to see the activities in the kitchen, which made me feel good.Now: I am very disappointed; I have to change my review (to 1 star). Sadly, the food quality has come down; it is not as tasty. AND there new owner decided to cover the window (so customers are not able to see into the kitchenwhich makes me suspicious.Obviously, the new owner doesnt want customers to see the the activities in the kitchen area. I wonder why!

I think it’s safe to say that Golden Star is my favorite Chinese Restaurant, considering I order from them atleast Once a week. Their General Tso’s Lunch Special is amazing with tons of flavor, and great portions for the price. I also recommend you get the side of the chili to mix in as well if you like a good kick of heat! I’ll definitely be in for more!

Very good quality but very bland. Just ordered the general Tso chicken, chicken fried rice, and the veggie lo mein. Good quality meat, just has zero flavor. Rice and lo mein same way. Good but not what I was expecting for being so close to Chicago.

The previous owner had a big glass window so customers could see what was going on back in the kitchen - made me feel comfortable. The new owner decided to cover the window - makes me suspicious. The new owner doesnt want customers to see the kitchen area. I wonder why? I dont like it!!!

Wide variety on the menu, and I have always been satisfied with the order and quality. Preparation is always quick and accurate. The only item I wish they would standardize or consolidate is the online menu, UI and customer experience, it will vary at times and can get confusing.

I really love this restaurant! Ive been getting food here for years, and it feels like a staple of the community. Everything always tastes amazing, and they have a variety of great options. The service is really good, too, and always very fast. I also appreciate their diet/low-calorie menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Our favorite Chinese take out restaurant! The portions are big, the food tastes great, and overall great prices especially their dinner/lunch specials. The staff is also very friendly.

Ordered from their website ,the prices were significantly more when we picked up the order, called to complain and they said they didnt have that website account , Then said it was old owners. Poor customer relations.

Horrible service for mediocre food! They take your online order, give you a confirmation number and take your credit card #, but dont deliver food. When you try to call the dont answer the phone. Will never order from here again.

The Cashew Beef with Vegetables was excellent. The meat was very tasty and tender, not fatty or tough. The vegetables also were very good.

Good choice of American and Chinese style dishes. Chicken & vegetables, tasty. Scallops & vegetables, very tasty. We have tasted from each side of the menu. Worth a visit. Our second visit and we will try more later. The new owners deserve a thumbs up.

Best Chinese food for a great price at that! They are under new management so they moved towards thier more Authentic Chinese roots in the cooking. Flavorful dishes, large portions and friendly staff that try to remember you! This is my go-to place for authentic Chinese food at a great price!love it!

Its more of a takeout or delivery. Service was quick and food was freshly made. The beef tenderloin was a bit extra chewy for me but chicken Kung pao was good. Good food/experience overall. I might repeat this place

Usually pretty good, have been getting food from here for years. However, do not try to order on Christmas. They turn their phones off and do not honor online orders. Placed an online order at 1715, received confirmation but no food 2.5 later. Wife stopped in after work, to find out they werent taking online orders and took their phone off the hook. Last time i order food from here.

Wheres the beef. Ordered for delivery on a Friday night and it showed up quickly and hot. Crab rangoon was good(not great).I really like a cantonese Beef with Black bean garlic sauce and its hard to find a place that still makes it as everyone has gone "Szechuan". They make a great dish but they have no protein. For a $6-7 small I bet its less than 4 ounces. Its all Veggies.Partially my fault as I could order the large and skip the crab rangoon to meet the minimum charge but Im sure this is a problem all around. Raise prices ($.75 Its Deerfieldand add more proteins.Next time Ill ask for more beef or a large. I need to find Oreos now.

Ordered some chicken fried rice and general tsos chicken. Both tasted terrible, almost as if they were undercooked and microwaved. Couldnt get past 4 bites.

Huge fan of the "crabless" wontons and garlic broccoli

Wasnt bad.Wasnt special.Low Price, tho.Got excited about the Gen. Tsaos Shrimp.Does not resemble the dish i hoped it would.Far too bready, no broccoli nor chilis.And the Brown rice i paid extra for wasnt included.Will not Return.
