Goodland KOA Journey in Sherman County

Very nice iconic, small town KOA! Staff person was excellent: very helpful and friendly. Grounds were immaculate, and we loved the large amounts of green space to walk our dogs.Only cons I would mention: very inconsistent WiFi, and my one, highly-anticipated shower in the bathhouse was cut short by a lack of hot water…!

Nice stay for me for one night. Sean was very accommodating, making the day as good as it could be. I thought the price was a bit high so - 1 star!

We had a delightfully overnight stay her at Goodland KOA. The swimming pool was a pleasant surprise and felt great to go for a nice chilling dip! Bathrooms are clean. Showers have good volume and the temperature is good. The staff (Seanis good to deal with

Goodland KOA is amazing in every way. When you arrive, Shawn greets you and is super friendly and helpful. Our site was perfect…DP4…and our dogs were so happy with Camp K9. We can’t say enough about this RV Campground. It’s immaculate!! Definitely put this one on your list!

Made our reservation the day before. 34 ft MH towing a car. They claimed we made a reservation without towing, so the site was too short and we had to unhook. We stay at KOAs frequently and use their auto fill for reservations as usual. I later reviewed my email and it said 34 ft towing! Absolutely rude uncaring office staff. Talked to 2 other campers that had the same story - of being told they didnt say towing. CG is nice with lots of trees, but narrow roads and sites.

Super friendly service. Had no choice for dinner. Very good chicken fried chicken. Arrived 10 minutes before closing and were welcomed and told take your time eating.

We stayed here on our way out and on the way back. It was quite nice. We had time to do laundry, take a dip in the pool, and relax. They have some sites that have a private fenced in dog kennel. Plenty of trees for shade here as well. The off leash dog area is nice as well. We will most likely stay again when we head that way.

Nice, clean bathrooms and showers. Dont book the very last tent site, especially if it rains. We woke up to water over our ankles when we stepped outside the tent. The whole site flooded. I wish they would have warned us considering there were only 2 other tent campers, they could have moved us. There is a storm shelter so thats nice considering it is Kansas.

They were able to squeeze us in at the last minute for an overnight RV stay. Very well maintained park with a pool, small dog park, and playground. Some sites have patios, picnic tables or nice furniture, and fire pits.Easy check in and out. Friendly people.

Added nice pull thru sites at the front with patio and nice furniture. Even a small doggie pen. Great park, and check ou the large easel 1/2 mile to the west.

Great place to stop on a journey or stay for a couple days. Clean bathrooms and showers. Cant wait to come back again!

This is a very nice KOA. The sites are spacious and clean. It is very dog friendly. It is easy on and off the freeway. Will stay here again when were in the area.

Not as good as other KOA camps weve visited. The shop has limited stock - no charcoal, wood, and very limited food. Need to stock better to cater to campers needs.New management just taken over - hopefully, things will improve.

Stopped thru on our travels. Upgrading several sites, very good stop. Family dollar close for any needs and showers were clean.

Only stayed the night on a cross country return. Theyre working on the front with upgrades. You can tell theyre trying to improve everything. The pool looked awesome! Very courteous staff. If you need a nice place to stay, this is it.

For a one night stop it is ok. No shade, and they are doing some kind of construction in the campground so dusty, dry, hot. The tree on the site we stayed on is dead. The highway noise is there as not far from hwy.

Homies, this is a great KOA for camping of all kinds! They’ve got a laundromat, store, tornado shelter, playground, swimming pool, dog park, and more! Nice pull through sites for longer set ups which is very much appreciated. Nice and jolly staff too! What more can I say? I highly recommend this place!

We stopped here without a reservation, and honestly, not having looked at the reviews. Without a doubt, it is the best commercial campground we have ever stayed at. Not only was everything in proper working order and very clean, but there was an attention to detail making everything even better. For instance, the nice new picnic tables sit on professionally made oval concrete bases. There are lattice work panels strategically placed for better aesthetics, as well as tasteful garden art. There was a laundry cart for use in the laundry room, along with books and magazines. The owner was very helpful in helping us choose a spot. There was even a vase full of poppies in the ladies room that matched a painting on the wall. All well above and beyond what we have grown to expect!

Very clean, reasonable rates, and super helpful staff member on the phone when I called to make a reservation. For a quick and easy stop en route across Kansas, it fits the bill perfectly.Update - I have stayed in one of their camping cabins now too. It was very clean - as is the whole place.

A very nice KOA Journey. Very accommodating Hosts with a clean, very nice CG to offer you. We only stayed on an "overnighter." We did not use any amenities, but you could tell by the way the entire CG waskept that it would have been just fine.We were even given a perfect "overnighters" spot in the CG that pointed to the exit right across from our pad! EXCELLENT! Thank you!

This place was great! It feels a bit like a community, but you still can get alone in your campsite. My fiancé and I were heading from Kansas City to Colorado Springs, and had reserved a tent camping site here. The sites were clean and open enough to select a place for our tent, and yet there were enough trees and bushes to not feel like youre right on top of the people next to you. Picnic table was nice, bathrooms were incredibly clean and well maintained. We arrived just after the office and store closed, and left just before they opened, so I cant speak to the friendliness of the staff. The campground itself was a very good experience and in an easy to get to location from the interstate, and not far from stores, restaurants and gas. Excellent experience!

Ray the owner was awesome. This place is great. Super clean facilities, nice and shady lots. We were so impressed we’re making plans to return. Cute little town with great places to eat.

I only stayed one night, but I absolutely loved this KOA. The cleanest bathrooms Ive seen in a KOA, immaculate, and I am not someone who likes community showers. My camping cabin was also immaculate and very comfortable. The grounds are lovely. You can tell the hosts go the extra mile to maintain this property. Go there!

Nice and clean KOA. Sites are big. Dog Area is nice and clean. Plenty of room to walk your dogs. Owner is a really sweet man. I have been stopping here on the way to the West since 2017. Each year is more improvements. PERFECT place to stop for the night or two.

We stayed in a cabin on the way from Ohio to Colorado and also on the way back because we liked it so much. It was a great stopover campground, clean bathrooms, clean and detailed property.

Stayed here for one night on our way from Ohio to Rocky Mountain National Park. An excellent campground. Site angles are designed perfectly, so setting up is a breeze. The campground is immaculately maintained and the sites are very nice.

Extremely nice journey KOA. Very well kept, small but new and well maintained pool, good sized sites, perfect for a trip out west. Highly recommend.Doller general, worlds largest easel, great planes museum, and a beer store are all walkable from the Campground. Great of you do not want to unhook.

A quiet campground located in Goodland KS just over the Colorado border. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff / owners. Sites have good amount of room and many with nice shade trees. A great stop on our way back East. Definitely a hidden gem. And so close to the largest easel with a Van Gogh painting 🎨🖌️

We just arrived and very impressed with this place. Trees,grass, shade and I’m happy. Easy to navigate the park in our beast and sites and so level. There is some highway noise off in the distance but not enough to bother you. The pool looks nice and dog park is really nice. Perfect for us weary travelers

Booking in January, we had a one night site booked for about five months in advance. When we got there, a giant bush blocked both of our doors in and out of the camper. We asked the owner to change our site but that was declined. The owner was rude and said that if we didn’t like the site, then we should leave. He didn’t understand how we ‘disliked the site when he’s never had a complaint in six years.’ I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

This campground is a jewel. The host was friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful with well tended flower gardens and plenty of mature tress for shade. Very nice playground and pool. The bathroom and showers are clean with plenty of hot water. The sites were level and had nice lawn and picnic tables. It was very comfortable to stay here. It is far enough off the highway to be peaceful but close enough for easy access.

Little, yet efficient. I saw some frogs with my children, and they had fun in the kids kabin. Didnt get to stay long for the pool to open, which is at 1:30pm. Overall, a fantastic little stop.

What a nice KOA, smaller in size but with the right amenities. Dog fenced park and another open field for dogs off leash for a run. Great tent areas. Mature trees, green lawn and pool. Quiet but close to the highway and town. Super friendly workers.

We took a tent site here. Feels Safe and also a clean place. The person that helped us was very night: we did night registration on our own and he happened to be at office late in the night but cared to ask if we needed something. After 4 days of remote camping with access to minimal things glad to stop here with access to hot shower and laundry. recommend to all

Conveniently located off of I-70. Pull through sites (we have #14are good. Clean office, welcoming staff, and mask wearing was adhered. Price is reasonable (I got the full hookup). Its a bit noisy at night (dogs barking, trains horn, and faint sounds of freeways traffic). Still, Id recommend this place as an overnight locationan.

Very nice stop on the way to Colorado if you cant make it all the way. The people working here are nice, the grounds are clean and well-maintained. The spots have good water pressure and are fairly level. The pool is a bit chilly because its shaded but still nice. Their little playground includes a proper old-school metal slide, an old tractor with concrete wheel weights and a nice little playhouse. Its far enough off the highway that its not too noisy.

Quiet and relaxing scenery. The restrooms were extremely clean and tidy. We loved watching the sunset across the fields! I would definitely recommend this campground for anyone looking for a peaceful hideaway.

Had a great time and enjoyed the many amenities they offered. Nice showers, a laundry facility on site, ice available to purchase, and charcoal grills set up at each area. I was surprised they had a fenced area for dogs to be off leash, what a great idea!

Awesome KOA and very friendly people. Beautiful flowers, peaceful setting! Short walk to store. It had a nice grassy dog park, could hear the birds singing and an owl hooting. Wish the pool could have been open but under circumstances completely understood. Would definitely come back here again. Thanks Alex!

Great park for a rest from the road. Quiet and clean. Manager went above and beyond when we discovered being parked next to a tent with 2 babies, 2 large dogs, a cat and 2 adults wasnt condusive to 2 seniors trying to rest. He found us a spot that worked perfectly. We would definitely stay again but to confirm another review, not the best option for very large rigs.

We spent last night here, and were very impressed with everything there. The laundry was very clean, and there were 4 washers and dryers. The manager was very accommodating and parked us close to the laundry, when I explained that I had a lot of laundry. The bathrooms and showered were the best. There was a bench inside the shower door that ingenious.

Nice campground and good prices! Spaces are ample; off the highway, so very quiet, but easy access; bathrooms are clean and tidy, sinks have hand soap, showers are roomy and have hanging racks for shampoo and such, water is hot and pressure is good; office staff is friendly and helpful; tourist info pamphlets in office as well as (freeKS and CO maps; small laundry is open 24 hrs and has books to share; not a fancy place, but pleasant landscaping around building. The pool was closed, drained, by the end of September, so I cant address that. Didnt see much else in the way of recreational activities or equipment, but the campground itself was great. I highly recommend for an overnight.

This campground has spacious lots… The owner is awesome! They have a 3 acre mowed field out back they let us run our golden doodle. The facilities are very clean and well-kept! Very quiet and nice place to stay.So far this is the best campground we have stayed.

Spent one night there on the way to Oregon. This is a very clean well organized campground. The staff (Raywas extremely helpful, helped us park and recommended a good restaurant. The shower houses are very clean. A very easy place to get in and out of. I would definitely stay here again!! Also this is a great place for your dogs!!

Great stop over for a night. Very nice owner, easy check in. Bathrooms and showers are older but kept very clean. Laundry facilities were great, in good working order. Lending library gave me a new book to enjoy. The dog area is fenced and lawn freshly cut.The mini golf is not there anymore. And we did not have time to enjoy the pool. But the kids liked the old school playground. The grounds have very pretty flowers but the lawn could use a cut.Overall a very good experience and we would stop again while passing through.

Wonderful place to camp! Extremely clean bathrooms and cabins. Breakfast is super cheap and really good! Seriously $2.50 for all you can eat pancakes, $3.00 biscuits and gravy..........COFFEE perfect and Hot! Bathrooms are well maintained with plenty of hooks and a cute little bench in each shower stall. Pool, playground and miniature give kiddos and adults plenty to do after a long car ride. Staff are super sweet! You are ready for a neat treat visiting here. I cant say enough good things. Thank you for taking such good care of your property. Will stay here again.

We stayed here for three nights and four days in one of the cabins. It fit all four of us (three kids and myselfvery well. The heater worked great and kept us warm. The bathrooms were close by, we could see it from our cabin. The bathrooms were also kept neat and clean at all times. The decorations were cute and the cabin was clean, well kept and appeared new and in great condition! We brought our sheets and blankets as they dont provide any. The laundry mat was close by, we could also see it from our cabin. The kids had a great time playing on the playground. The mini golf was adorable and affordable. There was electricity in the cabin, as well as at least four outlets in the wall for plugging in their heater, for plugging in a small water heater (this is how we heat up water for cup o noodle soup), charging phones, kindles etc. There was also a charcoal grill just outside the cabin that we used for roasting marshmallows. The Old Town Burlington Museum is a fun place for kids and adults and was only a 30 min drive from the KOA. This was an excellent place to stay!!
