The South Ogden Great Harvest is the best. Iโve been to several different GH locations in Utah and S. Ogden makes the best sandwiches hands-down! Thatโs why, when I purchased the 2022-2023 Pass360 coupon from a high school fundraising football player, I was so excited to see Great Harvest S. Ogden location listed specifically on there with the deal $2 off $10. When I went for the first time to use the discount, I was shut down. The owner specifically told his cashiers not to accept the discount. Iโm so confused as to why when itโs listed online as participating, and so disappointed. I wonโt be stopping by as much as Iโd hoped to with the discount.
Great Sandwich. Little expensive for a sandwich.
Best home made bread commercially made. Had a great sandwich today. Today I was served very well from saff when I needed box lunches for an activity for ladies to enjoy. These people have been helping me to provide great food and I am very pleased with the arrangements. Thank you Great Harvest !!!
Been in here numerous times and have never had a bad experience! Each time was in the afternoon when the teenagers are working. You would think that teenagers would be screwing around and playing when theres no adults but not here. I have always been treated like I was a cherished guest here and the employees have always been very cheerful and apologetic when they were out of something I wanted and were quick to suggest something similar for me to order. Today was Olivia and she was absolutely wonderful and that smile of hers really brightened my gloomy day.
I usually bake my own scones, but sometimes you just want a quick fix and get one single scone. Unfortunately, I dont know of any other place in the area (other than Starbucksthat offers scones on a daily basis. Great Harvest Bread Co. usually has some with mixed berries and white chocolate chips, which is a bit on the sweet end but otherwise a good scone combo. However, 9 out of 10 times, the scones look, taste, and feel like they are "under-cooked," meaning they are wet and sticky throughout, rather than flaky or crumbly. I wish they would fix that...
The South Ogden store is the good one. The recipes seem different from when they first opened over 25 years ago, my mom and dad went to the Midvale store and I remember the bread being heavier and softer. But still good.
Looking for an old school bakery...like a patisserie where I can find different types of breads, just simple breads...cant find anything in Davis and Weber counties...why?Stopped by Great Harvest on my way home around 10 in the morning. While it wasnt what i was really looking for, they did have some choices, so that i dont go home empty handed. There was a steady stream of people. I walked through once to get a chocolate pumpkin bread, and I guess I got the discounted one...I never go to GH, so I didnt even know what I was doing. I got in my car, and my wife told me to go back in and get the orange cranberry bread. I went back in ordered a fresh loaf, and a tea scone. When I checked out the girl gave me a slice of orange cranberry bread to sample. It was really good.People are nice, bread taste great. Store is pretty cool place to visit.Would recommend, but still looking for an old school bakery with breads ๐. ๐ maybe they dont exist?
I went in today and ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup to go. When I got home my cup was full of very fat thick noodles, some broth, two slices of carrots, and three very small pieces of celery, but there was absolutely no chicken in the soup. I have diabetes and need insulin for the carbs but I expected protein in my soup which helps with the balance of the carbs. It was possibly chicken broth but there was no meat whatsoever in the soup. The bread, as usual was delicious. But again, carbs. I was there at 11:30 a.m. so I know the soup was not down to the final last bit in the pot. My question is: why call it chicken noodle soup if there is no chicken. Perhaps they should call it fat noodles in chicken broth. Very disappointing.
Amazing bread!!! Sourdough is my favorite! Outstanding customer service every time!!
Good sandwiches and bread. Some tasty treats as well.
Awesome soup and sandwiches! Great service too!
Best bakery around always high quality and employees are always friendly. For someone who doesnt bake its a great place to get all your baked goods.
Thank you so much for doing a great job on our gift basket today. My neighbor loved it!! ๐ ๐ and ๐ช
Yummy breads and cookies! I love thir sandwiches too, but my husband prefers Kneaders fresh turkey and real avocado. But they still make great sandwiches, good soups and luscious breads and cookies!
I am wondering why your delicious bread has changed? We have been faithful customers for over 10 years. The texture and density of the bread has changed. It is more light and less dense. The bread even shrinks and burns quickly in my toaster. I am very sad, I pay more because I like good whole wheat bread. Joan
Great selection of breads and all of Reds I have purchased there are delicious
I would have given 5 stars except for the customer service. We asked for butter. the girl said you dont have any....isnt this a bakery? Is it Byob bring your own butter?
Food was good but asking about allergens was a process at the location I was at so I had to call a different location to get the answer. Weird experience.
Great place for light lunch. The sandwiches and treats are delicious! My favorite is their turkey sandwich and the chocolate chip pumpkin bread. I ventured out of my comfort zone and got the blueberry, coconut muffins and was impressed. All so delish!
My sister and I ordered their turkey and avocado sandwiches. The sandwiches were freshly made, they were delicious! Also we bought two of their coconut cakes. The cakes were wonderful! The employee who took our order and made the sandwiches was very friendly and professional. We are definitely going back to this Great Harvest Bread Co.
Great Harvest Bread is always great. Eating there is a treat. Their food is fresh and delicious.
Called them before I left my house, a half hour drive, to see if they sell sourdough starter, the woman on the phone talked to the manager and said that they do but I have to bring my own jar. I thought sweet. Get down there with a jar and they said that they dont sell it. They lied. Might be good bread but when they lie to possible customers they wont have my business.
I love this place but today they were out of the advertised soup, harvest blend bread and the free sample of bread included the pumpkin. My youngest daughter was not impressed.
My favorite sandwich is at Great Harvest. I love the wheat bread and fresh Turkey, provolone and vegetables.
I would definitely go get these guys food they will not disappoint they make one of the most unbelievably great turkey club that I have ever had and of course its on their thick cut bread of whatever bread that you like I love their honey whole wheat that is one of my favorites even by itself with a little bit of butter or honey butter it is to die for
You have to love fresh baked bread in store everyday. So many varieties. Such yummy samples.
Great place for bread. Great harvest is great. This location is a little bit bigger than some Iโve seen. The breads are always amazing and the baked goods are great. The cinnamon rolls are wonderful. The plain white bread and wheat bread are great.
The breads and sugar cookies are wonderful, I just wish they made a pure wheat bread, not 1/2 white, 1/2 wheat. I cut the sugar cookies into 1/4s and freeze, 1/4 is more than enough for a sweet fix, the cookies are huge. The Great Harvest on 25th street, Ogden has a bit more choice, at least they use to. Be sure to get a punch card, your 13th loaf is free with a card. I take every piece out and put in a fold over baggie then put back in the original bag, double bag and freeze. Its so easy to take one or two pieces out, it lasts for months this way. By the time you dish up dinner the bread is unthawed.
Good bakery & sandwich shop. Terrific breads, great sandwiches, outstanding service & clean place. We ate in, & Id definitely go back.
Good bread and pastries at upscale prices and limited selection. They often run out of their cinnamon rolls.
This location is near my work so I come in often. I love how my sandwiches and salads are made fresh with real ingredients. I havenโt found a kind of bread I didnโt love. Thanks for making me lunch at least once a week! :)
Great sandwiches freshly made but pricey plan on 10.00 for just a sandwhich medium drink. ....very much over priced.
I come here so often. I love how personable the employees are. My favorite person is Sarah. :She always greets me by name and she asks me how my little girl is.
Usually very classy and clean . But every time I come here, I remember the beginning of 2018 when a employee was cleaning and had the rug rolled up on the floor. She left the rug rolled up to go help customers. My 5 y/o daughter went to get a drink & while coming back, tripped over the carpet that was rolled up due to cleaning and just left there in the walkway because customers came in, causing a goose egg on my daughters forehead. The employee just gave us some ice for her head. I hope that will never happen again, but sad it had to happen to my child & we re-live the incident over every time we come here. Definitely was not handled well and they need to have a process for cleaning and when customers come in, so as not to put others at a safety risk!
This place is addictive! I love the baked goods and specialty breads. They sometimes have great deals on goods that arent made that day. I especially love the cookies, cakes, scones, and the cinnamon burst bread. It makes amazing French toast!
Really good soups, sandwiches, and desserts. Just walking in makes my mouth water with the smell of freshly baked bread. The cinnamon rolls are one of my favorites, and the BLT is amazing too! Great service.
What is there to say that hadnt already been said. Go in buy a cookie or cinnamon roll; have a slice of bread with butter. Or buy a loaf of bread while youre at it. This place not only tastes amazing, but smells just as good. The staff is always friendly and helpful in every way.
Comfort food to the max! I love the pumpkin, oats, chocolate chip muffin. You walk into bread baking and it smells so good. Definitely one of my favorite bakeries.
One of the very best bakerys around! You can stop in for an amazing lunch and then get a loaf of bread and bag of cookies to go! I would recommend the parmesan crusted sourdough, it is quite simply amazing.
I actually stopped at Great Harvest Bread every Saturday. It is my responsibility and has been for over 20 years to buy the bread for the sacrament for my ward. Great Harvest is the best.
The smell of this place when I walked in was the best part of my day! Quick and friendly exchange for a soft fresh loaf of bread. Definitely recommend to any person that likes bread ๐
Always great customer service! The Cute Girlies that work at this location are Always Warm, Inviting & Very Helpful! I needed several Bakery filled baskets for a party. I wanted each basket to be unique. Only one girlie was working this particular evening. There were other Customers and even though my order was large, she was very professional in helping the others as well. She worked with me for over an hour after closing and had a smile the entire time. She even helped me load the baskets in my vehicle! I am never disappointed when I visit this location! Thank You๐
The best soup and bread in town! Great breads, pastries. They also put together wonderful gift baskets.
The bread was delicious and wholesome. The variety of cinnamon rolls were fun to try. The store was clean and not overly busy. The service was fast and friendly. If recommend this place to anyone.
The young lady was clearly annoyed when I received my food and it tasted odd. She said it was right and walked away. Ive been at this location before and have generally had pleasant experiences, but this was an extremely bad visit - food and service.
An employee told me that they stop serving sandwiches at 4pm but yet they close at 6:30pm.. Might as well serve it all day if that is the case since they stop making their precious sandwiches that "late". I got the impression that she was just being lazy and didnt feel like doing her job.
Some of the best bread you will find in Utah. They also have delicious goodies. Some of my favorite goodies are the cinnamon rolls and the tea scones. They also will give you a very generous sample of their bread with any purchase.
Paid 18 dollars for 1 loaf of cranberry orange bread and 6 sugar cookies. Thats a lot of money. Delicious yes, but wow.
Bought bread there for yrs. Sadly theyve gotten out of my price range. I packed suitcases with the bread to take back East/Southeast. There was one on or near 25th St. Dont go to any of them anymore-too expensive. It was good. 5 stars then
very pleasant employees. the only reason I gave it a less than perfect score is because their foods are seasonal. Peanut butter bars are only spring and summer foods? Their dining area has expanded and only one size of coffee - now with two flavors.
