My pup was in a house fire and was treated out of state for his burns. When it came time for him to come home I had the hardest time trying to find a vet that would be able to care for him due to the severity of his burns. Greenfield Veterinary Hospital was the only place that was up for the challenge of continuing his treatment! They provided him with excellent care for him and I couldnt be any happier with their service and compassion! At first his treatments were every 3 days and took quite a while to preform each treatment it was quite an undertaking but they nursed him back to health!

I changed over to greenfierld vets about 7 years ago..I did not realize t he severity of my babys illness.Casimir had cancer. Casimir was my everything.good and bad times.greenfiel vets, ..made me feel comfortable..even though I did not want my best friend to go..I had to..they gave her the best possible rainbow to which I hope we will meet againBottom line, they were brutally honest..but understood how hurt I was and to make that final decision. I watched my baby.that got me thru soooo much..pass.😿😿😿 but when all was said and done..they helped send her to heaven in wonderful way..they sent me cards..ashes and just a card if condolences from their who team..I continue to bring my animals and I recommend them 110% they hel o ed me grieve..that.was not in the bill❤❤😻😻

They are convenient in location and will answer any questions you may have..I am relatively new with them but so far it has been good experience.

The staff at Greenfield have been nothing short of fantastic. Great prices, they fit our dog, Pebbles in for an appointment even on a full day when he was sick.

Everyone is really nice in here, the dog has been very good taken care of. The only problem is that they’re really busy or out of staff. I’ve calling everyday this two weeks and never got the phone answered. We just need an annul exam and vaccine. And this is always secluded two months later, plus I don’t know when my phone could be answered. Is there any way you could add a online appointment? Or anytime better to call so someone could answer the phone?

They have always taken good care of my Emmy and didn’t have an appointment until 3 weeks out but the lady took my number down and said she would call me if something sooner opened up. I really appreciated that. they go above and beyond for your pets

They take great care of my cat Mr.Pooh who has diabetes and almost passed away last year from ketoacidosis. I had some problems with the uber drive that was driving...

Dr. Winnie was so patient and kind as he helped explain what he thought was causing our cat’s sudden vomiting episodes. He explained his recommendations very clearly and answered my many questions. He was amazing with our cat, who is already improving. Thank you Dr. Winnie!

I took my cat to Greenfield Vet in 2020 and they were phenomenal. I had an initial appointment to establish care but my cat ended up needing to be seen semi-urgently (a follow-up from an emergency room visitso they squeezed me in for a next day appointment! The vet techs (the only names I remember are Gabby and Samanthaand Dr. Hankey are all amazing! The staff there spent time walking me through everything and answering all of my questions very patiently and compassionately. Its clear they really care about their patients and the people!

I’m a healthcare provider and first time cat owner. This place is so professional, quick, helpful. My cat has had a checkup and a dental surgery and cleaning, and I’ve been very satisfied with his care every time. Even his surgery costs ended up being only a little over half the estimate. You can bring your pet here with peace of mind.

Only good things to say about Greenfield vet! The other day they managed to squeeze my cat in for a suspected UTI even though they were super busy. They kept her for the day but called several times to update me. The vet spent at least 20 minutes on the phone with me explaining in detail what he thought was going on with her and took the time to answer my questions. They even called the next day to check in on how she was doing. Cilla says thank you 😺😺

Clean new facility. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to allergy dogs. Im confident that this is going to continue to be his vet moving forward.

When I moved to Pittsburgh I began looking for a new vet. This was the only one accepting new patients, so I chose it at random. I’m so thankful I did, because this office is incredible! Pet owners, you know what a relief it is to like and trust your vet. Everyone in the office is extremely helpful. The vets take the time to answer all of my questions and I never feel rushed out because of that. The people at the front desk have always been very friendly and quick to help me schedule or get a refill for my cats prescription. The office space itself is new and very nice as well. I’m grateful to know my cat is so well taken care of and I can call if I need anything!

I had good experience with this business until just now they refused to honor their Vaccinations for LIfe program, which I purchased for two dogs about 5 years ago. This was hundreds of dollars. The reason given for the cancellation was that I had to come in annually for the program to stay in effect. However, the last time I attempted to come in the appointment was cancelled BY the vet, who got covid-19. Prior to that, I had an appointment were they refused to see me because I was late by a half an hour. Everytime I called to schedule or reschedule an appointment, I was told that wait would be about two months. In fact, early on when I tried to argue for a sooner appointment, I was told, "Its just vaccinations." I decided to just wait it out the pandemic when there would hopefully be a shorter wait time. Now I am told I have invalided by contract by not coming in DURING A PANDEMIC, that effected THEIR business such that they couldnt see me.

I always feel confident that I have the best information and approach to caring for my dogs when I leave this veterinarian. Theyre pricey like all other healthcare, but the peace of mind I leave with is second to none.

It was a great experience for me and my puppy Rosie!! Everyone is very courteous and friendly. Dr Winnie is very attentive and answered all my questions and made some suggestions on the puppy going forward including info on heart worms , ticks and fleas.

Our dog received wonderful care while being treated at Greenfield, but they really stood out in our estimation when it was time to put our senior dog to sleep. While we were experiencing grief and loss their compassion and thoughtfulness for both our pet and ourselves was so very appreciated.

The new building is beautiful, spacious, and comes with a parking lot! The aesthetic is so relaxing, and we loved the wall art. Receptionists were helpful, and the Doctor and assistant we had took great care with our cat, Meelo. They listened to every concern we had. We finally have a plan to get his ear and gut issues taken care of.

I have never been to a better and more compassionate veterinarian hospital. all I can say is I have tortured Dr Winnie in the past and he just smiles and its so kind passionate and understanding. if there were more people like him and the people work there this world would actually be a better place David Komorowski

Ive brought my dog here for both regular check-ups and issues with kennel cough and an infected paw. Always happy with how things go- the techs are very kind and vets are competent. They dont seem to over-charge or try to upsell you.

We very unexpectedly had to put down our dog Vega. I called first thing in the morning when she started acting odd, and they were able to get her in a half hour later. Unfortunately we found out she only had a few days left. We were able to take her home for one last day with us, and took her back the following day to be euthanized. Dr. Handke was very empathetic and made this grieving process a bit easier. Thank you.

Greedy and opportunistic practices.Was charged $100 for a world renowned expert to review an X-ray only to be told their expert opinion was that we needed an ultrasound.We were then told the ultrasound would be $600 and they would ask the tech to also peek at the heart. We were told our dog was dying and had days left to live because of her heart, but the vet didnt even show us the ultrasound of our dogs heart, instead she pulled up a random video from Google to show us...and then they charged us $800 total for the ultrasound, $400 for the spleen and $400 for the heart...but they didnt show us her heart ultrasound just one from google. When we called to ask additional questions, we were told the ultrasound doctor that we paid to do this does not talk to clients and we had to play telephone passing messages back and forth.When my dog finally passed, we requested her ashes be separated so my ex-husband and I could share her. When we went to get her, they only gave us one set of ashes and a paw print, and when I called to complain, I found out half of my beloved dog was still at the vets office. Talk about traumatic and unsettling. We had always had wonderful experiences with Greenfield Vet, but these last few months have been extremely disappointing.

The vets are wonderful! But their staff is always gives misinformation! For example, when I first got my pup, I called their office and their staff told me to not take my pup out for the first several weeks even for potty training due to the risk of Parvo. So, I followed their advice and ended up pee pad training my pup which is a huge pain! When I finally got an appointment with their vet, the vet told me to take him out wherever I like cause the risk of Parvo in our area is low. Another example -- I ordered a prescription for Simparica Trio 5.6 lbs and up, when my puppy was 5.2 lbs cause I assumed that he would be above 5.6 lbs within a month or so. The vets office rejected my prescription. When I called back, they told me place an order for it AGAIN. I placed a second order. Then they called me back after some time to say that they cant approve it until he reaches that weight AND I bring him in for a weigh in! They NEVER told me that Im gonna have to get him weighed again to get the new Simparica Trio prescription.Further, whenever I call, I am almost always redirected to their answering machine. When I email, they take 2 days on an average to get back to me. Luckily Ive had no emergencies or major issues so far, but I know that if I do in the future, Greenfield Vets will be of no help.Overall, I would say that theyre good cause their vets are fantastic, but it may be best to look for a more responsive vets office that employs staff who are better informed.Also, stay away from their online pharmacy. Chewy has far more liberal return policies and better customer service.

We have used Dr Winnie as the family vet for 20+ years. So caring and knowledgeable.The new building is so exciting as well, a great upgrade that matches the level of care.

The whole staff here is amazing. Had a really good experience visiting during their clinic hours (you just need to get there early and they will help you).Everyone was super nice and their prices are very fair.

I had a great first experience with Greenfield Veterinary Hospital. Their new facility is beautiful, and Dr. Winnie and all the staff were welcoming and helpful from the start. They just moved into a beautifulnew building across from Calvary Cemetery. The space is clean and welcoming and very spacious. There is a parking lot. The exam room was modern with an exam table the folds up and down from the wall. the price for checkups and vaccinations for three cats was reasonable and the tech and the vet were very gentle with my cats!

I have taken my cat to Greenfield vet for many year. He was 18. In may had situation and begged them to see my cat. They refuse. Last week had another episode. Once again I was refused treatment. Had to go to emergency vet once again, where my cat had to be euthanized. Didnt know drs. Or facility. Took six hours. How could our FAMILY vet not be there in our time of need. Twice. Just be aware.

We had a cat that was very sick and suffering. We called almost every vet in the area including mobile vets for euthanasia. We called our veteran that weve gone to for 27 years and everyone refused to help us because she was a new patient. She was feral but lived in our home 16 years and never socialized. When we called Greenfield Veterinary they said we could bring her in. They were so kind and helpful even though she wasnt tame, they worked with us. They helped us when no one else would, and that day. God is going to bless this place and the people who work there, because of this act of kindness.

They sent me a signed sympathy card in the mail when they found out my dog passed away, it was really sweet of them. Every time my dogs go there they come back tails wagging, all the staff are very professional and reliable! You can tell they genuinely care about the pets they help and their owners.

Weve been coming here for 12 years now, from the moment we got our first dog Ruby who still goes there to this day. Both Dr. Handke and Dr. Winnie have given multiple pets excellent care. Theyve helped us with our first puppy, welcoming new rescues into our home and helping us through well, emergency and even end-of-life care for multiple pets through the decade. Though we no longer live anywhere near it, well continue to go to Greenfield vet forever.

We recently added a puppy to our family. We wanted to research the best place to take him. Greenfield vet had great reviews and we would now like to add to the great reviews! They have so kind and caring, helpful and educational to us and our puppy. No matter where we ever move to in this city greenfield vet will always be our place!

We are so lucky to have Greenfield Vet to rely on for our pets! Dr. Berkebile cares for our cat Hachi and our 10 month old puppy Ave Maria, and she is so kind and knowledgeable. She explains what our puppy needs thoroughly in easy to understand terms and she offers us options in what to choose. The vet office is also easy to contact by phone (we always get a real person to talk to). The office has a really safe and easy pet drop off system to provide care during the COVID pandemic. The vet techs are so knowledgeable and professional- due to COVID safety changes, we interact with them the most as they collect our fur babies from our car, and they are just the best vet techs we’ve ever interacted with - thankfully aren’t bothered by all the questions we ask them!! They’re so nice and we make sure to refer other pet parents to them with questions! To pet owners, our pets are our family. You need to trust the team who cares for your family, and I feel safe and grateful that Greenfield Vet cares for mine.

Ive been taking all four of my pets to Greenfield Vet for a number of years, and at this point, they are like a second family. The front desk staff are always incredibly helpful and understanding, as well as professional about their jobs. Dr. Handke is our go to guy, and for good reason! He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and patient. He explains everything you need to know thoroughly in terms that make sense and do not confuse you, and ensures you know how to best care for your pet moving forward. Dr. Handke and the staff always give their best recommendations for your pets, but will never push you into something more costly like other vets do. They have you and your pets best interests at heart at all times. In addition, their Vaccines for Life program is an incredible investment, and I cant recommend it enough! Brought my dog here because of a bad experience with our previous vet, and we left Greenfield with smiles on our faces! Staff is very kind and communication is great. We recently had an emergency and though they were busy, they were nice enough to recommend an urgent care place we could go to. Will definitely be back in the future!

I honestly never write reviews, but I cannot say enough good things about Greenfield Vets. Both Dr. Handke and Dr. Winnie are incredibly knowledgeable, and the entire staff there is amazing. Ive been bringing my senior dog Groucho there for just over two years since I adopted him. Eight months ago, he was diagnosed with kidney disease, and they have been so, so helpful. When we were learning how to do subcutaneous fluids at home, we worked with a vet tech multiple times since we were so nervous about it, and were not charged once for this extra help. Similarly, when Groucho had a dental cleaning this summer, I was very nervous about the anesthesia, and Dr. Hanke personally called me before the procedure and talked to me at length about why he thought it was worth it, and soothed my fears. This is also one of the most affordable vets Ive come across (not including low cost clinics or big chains). Thank you guys so, so much for always taking care of my fur baby!

I take both my cats and dog here and Greenfield vet staff are always so wonderful to them and me. Their Covid protocol makes me feel safe to bring my pets whenever they need care. The vets always take the time to explain their thoughts in detail and are happy to answer any questions. I also think their prices are very fair for the excellent care they provide. So grateful to have such a wonderful vet team for my pets!

Dr. Winnie is very knowledgeable and caring! He spotted an issue with our two cats and was quick to offer us a solution with his expertise. He and the nurses communicated so well on the phone during our drive up appointment. I truly believe our cats were handled properly and looked after well. This is the absolute worst vet I have ever been to - I will never again bring my cat here. After reading many positive reviews, I was hopeful that this experience would help me find a new long-term vet. I came this past Monday to the walk-in clinic, and the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful - it seemed like a good start. I arrived right at 2pm, and only had a short wait (maybe 5 minutesto be seen back into an exam room (although the wait was much longer when I left around 3:30pm- about an hour).After a positive beginning to this experience, it all went steeply downhill as soon as Dr. Winnie came in for a consultation. I brought my cat in for her annual exam, and because I treated her for fleas the week prior and I wanted him to check on her condition. The doctor was very pushy and condescending from the start; His tone was insincere and rude, and he was very obvious about being in a rush (probably due to it being the walk-in clinic hours, but still...). My cats records were being faxed over from previous vets, and I was waiting to hear if she needed any vaccination; As we were talking, Dr. Winnie injected my cat without confirming - or at least verbalizing - that she needed vaccinations. Then, he attempted to quickly leave the room without even talking about her state of health (the annual exam I came in for). When I asked how she looked, he simply said she was overweight and didnt offer any advice or further information without being asked. It seemed like from the start the doctor and the nurses were just trying to push products - whether it be vaccinations, flea medication, new brands of food, or flea home treatment - rather than listening to my concerns and actually checking out my cat. He seemed offended when I declined his suggestion to purchase two more flea medications to use simultaneously as well as a third flea product to treat my cats reaction to the fleas - even though her fleas were successfully treated only a few days prior. Due to his insincerity, poor communication, and the fact that he rushed through my cats exam, I will not be coming back.

I found a stray cat in need of medical attention, and Greenfield Vet was able to get me an appointment the same day. They provided excellent care to the cat, and they walked me through all my options and instructions to get him better. Everyone I interacted with from the staff answering the phones to the vet were helpful and kind. I wholeheartedly recommend Greenfield Vet.

Ive been taking my greyhounds to GVH for two years. All of the veterinarians are excellent, as well as the vet technicians and office staff. During the pandemic, GVH staff help make visits less stressful. The staff meet you at your car and take your beloved fur-baby into the office for the visit. The vet connects with you via phone. During my most recent visit for a medical issue, Dr. Alison was very informative and kind. She really listened to my concerns and responded in a manner in which I felt confident and reassured. I highly recommend this practice to other greyhound companions.

We are thrilled with this clinic. Dr Winnie is absolutely the best vet weve encountered in Pittsburgh. Hes so thorough, so smart, so informed and on top of everything related to your furbies.

The two vets weve seen here have been some of the nicest, most reasonable, and best educators our pups could imagine. We moved out of the area but are happy to come back to see them. Great communication among staff. Never seem pushy to drive up costs. Very happy.

Ive been taking my older dog here since I adopted him 2 years ago. Dr. Handke is awesome. He takes time to thoroughly assess my dog each visit (doing a full checkup even when were there for a specific complaint). He is competent (his treatment has always cleared up whatever issue my dogs havingand explains everything clearly. The staff is warm and friendly, they are easy to schedule with, and the prices are very fair.

This place is amazing! I have a extremely anxious dog, but we heard wonderful things about them last summer and decided to try them out. The team was great with her and with us too, for that matter! We definitely found ourselves a new vet! Would highly recommend them. We loved them so much we decided to try out their grooming. Again with the same results, love them too! Wont go anywhere else besides Greenfield now, even though it is a bit of a haul from our house...its worth it!
