Grumpy’s Authentic Mexican Food Truck in King County

Thank you grumpys for ALWAYS being the go to when anyone in my large family is feeling well.... grumpy. All seven of my children, all their friends, my 12 siblings, myself, my husband... In a family this large unfortunately the uneventful days are few and far between if any. And obviously said events arent always- or even usually- good events. Life happens. And sometimes there are just no words. And in those times we always somehow end up down the street at grumpys. And through all these years and events they (Grumpyshave ALWAYS delivered. And ALWAYS been good. Somehow the magic of that good home-cooked comfort food and our Latino roots, gives us just what we need to process, calm down and figure out the next step. Food is expensive for the place, quality and service, not really tasty 😏

Such a disappointment. I waited for ten minutes before the staff acknowledged my presence. A surly woman begrudgingly my order and told me it would be ten minutes; it was twenty. During that time, four patrons who ordered after me got their orders ahead of me. My order couldnt have been easier - a scoop each of beans, rice, and carnitas into a cheap styrofoam container with hot tortillas in foil in the side. The beans were minimally adequate. The rice was dry and bland. The carnitas were soft and not crisped the way I like them. There were huge chunks of fat. The dish didnt come with napkins or salsa. When I asked for salsa, the surly woman put a tablespoon in a plastic bag and tied a knot in it; it was awkward at best. Not going back. The food and service at Taco Loco are far superior.

My husband enjoyed the tacos but 22 dollars for 4 tacos is a little outrageous..

Food was not good at all. I tried the pork belly burrito and it was just fat and chewy. Ive had pork belly many time and let me tell you it was nothing like that.. They also gave me so many few fries that even the cook mentioned it in Spanish when the cashier handed it to me. They were also dry and almost burn.Then when I went to get a refund on the fries they gave me an attitude saying they just look burn but arent. Yeah they werent good in general

Pretty solid burrito. Hot sauce had a nice kick with out over taking the other flavors. Made to order with out issue, which was nice since I have some food allergies. Would definitely have again.

Honestly the best street tacos I’ve ever had, will be going back again and again

I think there are new owners maybe, the food has changed and its just not the same. Still good but not great.

AMAZING tacos. The lady at the counter kept apologizing for the wait because they made their tortillas from scratch, but there was no apology necessary because the wait wasn’t even that bad and the tacos were DELICIOUS. Thank you so much, definitely coming back!

This is my favorite taco truck and has been for years, amazing food all the time. But the issue is they havent been open for months regardless of what their hours say... i dont know whats going on but i do miss my favorite taco truck

FOOD is good, but whatever the time given for your food to be ready, add at least 10-15 minutes.Also, have you ever been to a mexican food truck that doesnt have salsa?Well, now you have!At least 3 times ive been told they dont have any salsa. Its almost laughgable.

The chorizo quesadilla is my favorite. Beans, onions, lettuce, chorizo, and tons of cheese. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside. And their hot sauce is F I R E. Love this truck!

This place is never open. Google shows on the hours that they are open but it is always closed. Run your business like a responsible business owner and update your business hours so you stop wasting peoples time. NEVER OPEN, FIX YOUR GOOGLE HOURS TO TEMPORARILY CLOSED!

I have not been able to find a better burrito in Seattle. The service is great, the folks are nice, and the Grumpy Burrito is tops.

Wow, just wow! Such great food and service. The birria tacos are freaking amazing!! I was hooked after one visit.

This was my second Grumpys burrito, the Grumpys Mad Burrito. My first was the pork belly burrito. They are both delicious. By all means, see for yourself. You will be glad you did.

The steak was so good and juicey. It was the best Mexican food I have ever tasted in my entire life check them out.

Super dank and quick, I always get the grumpy burrito with asada. And I ask for 10/10 spice and believe me it’s super 🥵 hot this is coming from a true Chicano. So sad that they aren’t open on weekends...

This place was horrible. First off, they have no idea what theyre doing in there and their customer service was horrible. They complained because I asked no beans on my burrito but did it in spanish. Then, they have me my drink with a big stain on the bottle and when I said if I can have a different one they continued to complain about me in spanish and have me a room temperature bottle even though they had refrigerated ones. After I grabbed my food and left, they laughed at me and told me to get the hell out of here in spanish.I speak Spanish.Dont even get me started on the food...

One word AMAZING! Very authentic! Friendly , fun staff. Fresh made to order. 1 - 10 spice level! I had a 4 it was very spicy but did not take away from the flavor! Yummmm

Extremely delicious burritos from great people. You really cant go wrong with anything you order. My favorite? The Grumpys Mad Burrito with Adobada. If Im feeling really spicy I ask for a 7/10.

Great food truck near Swedish Hospital in Ballard. The pork belly jalapeno burrito is the best. Excellent food, excellent service. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait for the food, but it is well worth the wait.

You dont need a lot of words, the picture says it all. A fresh, very large, delicious veggie burrito for a very reasonable price ($10). The inside is nothing fancy but when you have a place that makes their own sauces and the food tastes this good all I need is a picnic table while I scarf down the rest. Ive already been here twice in a week to fill the hangry lunch vibes.

Tacos Dorados are delightful! Shrimp and fish burritos better than a much more expensive restaurant!

Love eating lunch here, the atmosphere is always nice. Plus their employees pay attention to your needs. Best enchiladas, brings back the taste from the motherland.

This is some of the best Mexican food Ive tried in Seattle! Its a little bit on the pricier side, but worth it due to proportions, clean meat, great quality ingredients, and made quickly

This place had some of the best tacos Ive had in a while. Authentic tacos and fast service. They also had a ping pong table, and chess there. I mean come on, food and games, whats better than that?

Tried this place out today. Very nice employees, great food, and they have a cute parrot. Glad I work walking distance, this will definitely be my lunch spot.

Food was really good their tortas are huge , we also tried the shrimp and fish tacos the salsa was on point we will come.back
