Cons: warehouse supervisor. Warehouse sup is not management material. Unprofessional, rude, amateur hour. He shouldve stayed as warehouse worker as his job NOW seems to only entail moving his mouth. Hes a capable worker, when he stands. Worst Is unprofessional attitude towards customers and employees.Pros: Awesome sales team. Great prices and salespersons that go beyond to satisfy. Went in to look at bedroom set and did not get no help left went somewhere else and bought. They were to busy talking to each other to help.
My husband and I went in shopping for a new sectional sofa. We were there for forty minutes and not one sales person greeted us or asked us if we needed any help. They were all sitting at desks, staring at their computers. Guess they didn’t need my money.

I was very pleased with our experience with Hefner’s. My daughter was needing a new dresser. They have so many options to choose from. Our salesman, Dwane, showed us exactly where to look based on what we wanted and then left us to look for ourselves, checked in occasionally to make sure we were doing ok and ask if we had any questions. Loved the no pressure attitude we felt. I don’t like being hovered over when shopping. We found a beautiful piece that my daughter fell in love with. Once we got it picked up and brought home, there were some assembly issues that were from the manufacturer. I was very impressed with how Hefner handled the problem, I was expecting it to be a fight to make things right, but they immediately offered to swap it out for a new one. Customer service is the backbone to any business like theirs, and I would say based on my experience, they have great customer services. I will definitely return the next time we have any furniture needs.

Madison was great, Keith lacked of information. We purchased 2 recliners and wanted a swivel base on one. At the time of purchase we were told the swivel could take 4 weeks to come in and they could not deliver until that time the 2 chairs. We had a swivel at home on a same name brand recliner and wanted to see if we could just put the old one on the new chair. This did not work out as I could not do the work . We were quoted a price so the next day we ordered the new swivel which doubled in price and we were told we had to return the chair and it could be 2 or 3 weeks before the swivel could be installed. Why could we not make an appointment, we were told we could not do this. I am confused as to why it takes this long. I give Madison a 5 star and Keith the store manager a 2 star as he does not want to work with customers. Just get the sale!
Neat place just to walk around. The workers are very helpful and experienced. They get you what you need with no stalling. I have a refrigerator on order and they were a lot of help.

I had gotten furniture from them 5 years ago, and gave them 200 dollars on insurance, that if I didnt use, I would get it back, now they want me to get store credit, thats not what the sales person told me back then, I gave them cash. If I didnt have to give them 1 star, I wouldnt of given them none!

We just bought our second piece of furniture from them. We find them to be honest. Low pressure. Friendly and fair prices. Also they have a nice selection of things you can take home immediately. Which is a big deal right now with shipping and covid delays being part of the reality of shopping for furniture.
Got this shadow box coffee table for a decent price. Gonna replace the metal legs with wood legs but I still love it, was what I needed for all my shells.
We’ve bought several things from Hefner’s through the years, and have had an excellent experience each time. However, most recently we went in for their Black Friday sale. Robert was our salesman and he was wonderful to deal with. We were so happy with the whole experience and the quick delivery of our furniture.
Found 6 chairs I liked. When they deliver they had places where they hit one another in route. They took markers and touched them up. They look fine but when you pay a lot of money you should get better service. And a call back from the store saying sorry.
I have a brand new chair with a huge hole in it. No one returns my calls. When someone did call, they wanted to fix it without a cash refund. I want a new chair. Now no return calls again.
I like this store a lot. The selection is vast....If what you want isnt in the store they bend over backwards to find it.The employees on all levels are super. Cant complain about anyone. All winners!And no I am not an employee, relative or attached in any way to anyone at Hefners. I think good people should get a good review. Good job ladies and gents.

Bought 2 recliners from there and parts broke in mine and my husbands. His has a bent fram and mine controls don’t won’t. Have been calling them every month for seven months and they said are not able to get parts because of COVID-19 😂😂😂. Our watery expires in January. Had called to speak to manger each time we call and told not in office or on phone and will call back. Guess what don’t get call back. Husband’s chair jumps real bad when trying to recline because of frame being bent and afraid going to break completely and so can not recline. Spent $1000.00 on both and can not even use and get no help. Worst store I every dealt with and will not ever deal with them again. 1000.00 each chair and can’t use. Horrible people to deal with. Service men were great and said they would put in request for parts and if didn’t receive to call them and remind them. Does no good. If you buy from them good luck getting help. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😂😂
We went in to buy a new bed set. When asking questions the salesman pointed out a section and said that they are “higher end” so we wouldn’t want to look at those and directed us to the clearance/cheaper beds. Without asking our budget. We found a bed (outside of the section he thought we could afford), and wanted to buy it. He said it would take 7-10 months to deliver. We said we have a second option we would like to buy then. He told us to hold on, while he greeted some new customers and left to show them A BED WE WERE WANTING TO BUY. We ended up leaving because he never came back to help us.Would never return or recommend.
Jason was an excellent salesman. He let me wander the store at my own pace but still let me know where he was when I had questions. I got a great deal on a beautiful new bed, free delivery, free set up, and they took my old bed for free! The delivery men were very friendly and put the new bed together quickly and with care. Ill definitely be coming back!!
Great customer service and great furniture! We ordered a new sectional through the Ashley home store at Hefner’s. We only had to wait a few weeks for it to arrive and I was expecting months due to our current economical situation. Our customer service rep kept in contact with us and gave us updates on the status of our furniture, Chris was great! Thank y’all for everything, we love our new sectional!
Did not buy anything; just browsing...but a great store, very specious so easy to view many pieces without that crammed in feeling. Very nice salespeople who were not pushy like in many furniture stores. Will return and buy!
They will sell you a warranty upselling the quality of service then when the furniture breaks the warranty company and Hefners refuse to do anything about it. I would avoid them at all cost.
Furniture shopping is a delight at this large, well set up and managed emporium. Customers are greeted and made to feel right at home, which helps in the furniture shopping process. Fridge went out on Thursday. Nobody, Lowes, Sears, could deliver one until July! Called Hefner and we got a great price on a nice refrigerator on Saturday. First time doing business with these folks and Im very pleased with them. Friendly salesman on the phone and friendly delivery guys. We went to 3 other stores before coming to Hefner. Carol House, Bobs Discount Furniture and Ashley in Manchester MO. We live in High Ridge, MO so we are not close to Hefner. I appreciate the eccentricity of the owner and how he decorates his stores. He makes it a tour when you enter his store. There was a group of people who came in as we were finishing our order to see kitchen chairs, but their topic of conversation was the attractions could see other than furniture while at the store.We did not work with anyone. Roger Pulley greeted and guided us to what we were looking for and he disappeared until we had questions. Roger never tried to add anything extra to what we wanted. Each of the other stores had a list of must haves to be added. Roger did not. He allowed us to purchase what we needed and my wife added a couple of items herself, based on the prices we were given and how well the store is staged.We had purchased Furniture at another store and, but in a matter of 5 days the order was delayed 3 times and pushed from April to the end of may. Additionally, I checked the online reviews much to my dismay. This was common place and many of the reviews saw delivery pushed out an additional 4 months. I should have checked before we bought. So we cancelled that order.Hefners online reviews were very good. Hefners quality of products allowed us to upgrade what we were purchasing in a Power Reclining Sofa and Love seat, better mattresses at a price we could buy 2 and still save money. The other companies charge $329.00 for delivery and would not remove the old couches. Hefner has no delivery charge for our area and will take the 3 old couches and 2 mattresses. Hefners 5 year Warranty was much less than the competition, plus if you dont use it, it becomes an in store credit . 1 other store offered that, but it was $150.00 more.Finally, we talked with several people who were there to add furniture as repeat customers with great comments. I can vouch for the fact THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HEFNERS and Roger Pulley!

Hefner’s product line and customer service is exceptional. I purchased a chair for my Dad that is hard to find but they actually had it in stock. That was surprising. When my Dad’s needs suddenly changed, they demonstrated a customer first attitude that is rare these days and I’m grateful for their willingness to accommodate my needs.I highly recommend this furniture store for their quality product and exceptional customer service. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
Bought a flex steel sofa , love seat and recliner, when purchased we were told the leather was dyed through and through so it would not show pet scratches and this was one of the reason we purchased the extra coverage. After time the leather started showing scratches and the leather was not dyed through and through so I contacted the Popular Bluff store manager. He was rude and would not work with me, He denied the fact that the salesperson told me and said if they did say that they should not have.It you purchase from Hefner’s get everything in writing
We had a great experience with Hefner’s from picking out the couch all the way to delivery. Dwayne was very knowledgeable about all the furniture and very professional. We had to wait a long time for the couch to come in from the factory due to all the covid delays but we got it delivered today and we love it so much. Tim and Nathan delivered the couch and they were early which was awesome. They worked fast and even moved our old couch for us. I hope they enjoyed their fresh baked cookies. 😊
I purchased a Kitchen Aid refrigerator (after the last one purchased went out at 3 yrs oldfrom Hefner’s. The first one I received had a dent on the side. I reported it, they ordered another one (after offering me $100 off the price for the dent). On arrival of the second refrigerator, I asked specifically if there were any dents before exchanging for the one I already had. The answer was No, there were no dents. While bringing the new one through my front door they damaged my door and storm door. Which I reported immediately to our sales person (Jason). If this wasn’t bad enough, the delivery guys dropped the handle to the front of the refrigerator on my hardwood floor leaving two dents. Which I also reported! I was told there would be someone coming to my home to assess the damage. They never came and when I called back I was directed to the assistant manager who basically called me a liar and stated his delivery men denied doing any damage. They have yet to replace my refrigerator or repair the damage!
The service we recieved from the sales staff at Hefners was incredible. It was actually enjoyable walking around the showroom. So many cool peices to see! Tim and Nate went up and beyond to make sure our purchase was delivered in a very professional matter. I would recommend Hefners furniture to anyone.
Just bought a Pub table and chairs.....Ashley great price! Trent was perfect and let us roam while I munched on free popcorn and soda!! Their accessories are unique and high fashion. We bought today, free delivery and picking up old furniture set....yippee!!
My wife and I bought a flexsteel sofa from Hefners about 5 years ago. Both my wife and I are rather large people and I asked the salesman when I bought it if it would stand up. He promised me it would. As far as I know the frame has stood up very well however the foam cushions are just about completely flat, today, I called up Hefners and spoke with Angel in the service department, and I explained to her what the situation was. Angel was so much more than kind I dont have words to express it!!! She was very helpful sounded very honest and told me that they would make my couch like new for $90. I was so shocked I didnt know what to say she made my day she is truly an angel. Im taking the couch down there on Thursday and dropping it off and when I get there to pick it up if its like new and only cost me $90 Ill give this place five stars and continue to buy my furniture there. Well, I got my couch back today. Wow! There are not enough words to describe how well they fixed it! Fantastic job, and they delivered it! The driver and his helper, could not be kinder, or more professional. Top notch!
This store has everything you need and want! They have the best customer service and will answer all your questions! Kid friendly and there is so much to see in there. Not to mention they have a couple financing methods and an in store leasing method that does not check credit and that builds credit, for those who need some help getting what they want! They will walk the whole 5 miles with you if you needed. The Sales associates are very polite and respectful. They go above and beyond to make everyone happy! LOVE IT!
Place is huge! My wife bought some furniture at great prices. Just wore me out walking one end to the other looking at the pieces, then back and forth again to finalize the sales... I think I just found my new exercise track ;-)
First, I want to say our salesman, Jim McDowell, tried to be extremely helpful in our situation. We purchased a Home Stretch sectional called Catalina on October 22 and it was delivered November 16. That was an initial red flag since Hefner took our money almost 4 weeks prior to delivery of the product. Immediately upon receipt of the sectional we noticed it had a strong chemical/sawdust odor. We realized this may be normal and we headed out of town for a week to let the furniture “air out.” Oddly enough, it wasn’t the fabric that smelled, but must be the treated wood within the frame of the couch. Ten days later the odor had not dissipated so we called the store. They assured us they never had an issue with this brand before and we offered to give it more time. Finally the salesperson stated we could come and pick out different furniture. We spent 2 hours in the store on December 9th and found nothing similar that we wanted to spend the $2700 on. Besides that, when we mentioned ordering something not in stock, the sales manager said he would have to talk to the store manager. We mentioned we really wanted the initial sectional and if this was a “one time” issue, we would be willing to reorder the same sectional. On December 13, our salesman called to say we could come and pick out a different sectional. As mentioned, there was nothing in the store we wanted. Again, we asked if we could reorder the same sectional and the store manager said “no, she didn’t want to be stuck with 2 off them.” If no one else has ever had an issue, why couldn’t we reorder the product we wanted. Lastly we asked for our money back and were told by the manager we would have to pay a restocking fee—seriously? For furniture that smells bad! We even offered the manager to come to our house and smell for herself. We are still not using the room the furniture is in because the odor is so strong, to EVERYONE who enters our house, not just one person. My mother who has asthma couldn’t come over during the holidays and I can still not be in the room with the furniture without my allergies being affected and all of us still smell the furniture and don’t want to spend any time in the room it is in. Now it’s, January 8 and we still haven’t reached a resolution other than Hefner is happy to stick us with subpar furniture. We have lived in the area for over 20 years and have spent thousands of dollars with them. We believe in shopping local but after this experience, where the store manager had our salesman do the dirty work, advising us of the absurd restocking fee, I assure you I won’t spend another dime at Hefner’s.I plan on contacting Home Stretch to advise them of this issue because as of today, the furniture still causes me to have a runny nose, cough, sneezing, scratchy throat, and watering eyes.
I bought all my furniture for my house over the years here. Have been satisfied overall. Sales people have always been helpful but I wanted to let you know there is a lady in "office" I believe named Mickaela(my spelling may be wrongwho is absolutely phenomenal!!!! She needs a raise I was walking out after talking to salesman who was just ok and she told me about all the other options to buy today and lock in a discount. Like the 20% down. She was beyond helpful and if it wasnt for her I wouldnt have even considered purchasing it here. Please let her know shes appreciated and does a great job!!
Worth the drive just to see this place. An insane amount of selection. If you cant find something here, you probably wont find it at all. The staff was very helpful and flexible. Not obnoxious or pushy. Loved the free beverages and snacks. Flexible shipping, pricing, and customization. High end to low end and everything in between.
We purchased a couch and loveseat at the Black Friday sale. The staff were friendly, even if the process took a while to get done, and the main person helping us was not used to being on the sales floor and needed help several times. Not a big deal, we all need time to learn new things. We left excited being told our new furniture would be here in 2-4 weeks. I called past the 2 week mark just wondering how things are going. I was told the loveseat was on back order and that’s what they’re waiting on. Okay. At the 4 week mark I call again. Still waiting on the loveseat... okayyy the whole reason we had gotten furniture was as Christmas gifts to each other, and because we were having a big New Years party at our house. The employee tells me, “Well we can deliver the couch, and once the loveseat is in deliver it.” Not the best, but I’ll take it. They show up a few days later with the loveseat, NOT the couch. The couch finally gets delivered first week of January. Finally. It’s done, and we have our furniture. Then the phone calls start. Phone call after phone call from Hefner’s because apparently they had forgotten to have me sign the financing contract. We both work a lot, and far away. There was no way for us to get in to sign, unless it was on the weekend. And we had two snow storms. More phone calls, more voice mails saying my financing will expire if I don’t get in there and sign the contract. Finally, I am able to get there and wait for nearly 2HOURS because an employee sent me to the wrong financing desk and I was waiting for the wrong person. It was all so time consuming and frustrating. What was supposed to be a great and exciting experience was drawn out for 2 months. It’s a shame because they have a great variety of options and friendly staff but DONT WASTE MY TIME AND BLOW MY PHONE UP.
The store is just too much fun ! I knew what I was looking for (kind of). The manager walked through with us answering any question we had. We found our couch and love seat. The finance dept . was pleasant and quick. The delivery guys did a great job, working as a team to getthem through my smaller than normal doorway .... overall good experience
Large selection, friendly staff. Nate just took very good care of us when we needed a full set of kitchen appliances. Now he is managing the Poplar Bluff store. If you want any of the Ashley Furniture, be prepared to wait 2 to 4 weeks for delivery. There are some nice looking furniture sets at reasonable prices but Very few pieces are available the same day.
The customer service was outstanding!! I called with a question. After speaking with Jason, we headed directly there. They didnt have the model of the item we wanted in the store. After some calling, he got it taken care of. They work very hard with those that need assistance with financing. The selection of merchandise is beyond words. You could get lost in the store. I would most definitely recommend shopping here first. Great customer service, wonderful selection, terrific quality, all at a budget price.
I will not recommend them to friends or family, and I will not finish my furniture shopping at this store. I was told incorrect information by a new salesman, and I conveniently I was not given the correct information until 30 days after the purchase when I was unable to do anything about it. With a near perfect credit score, they turned my financing over to a second rate predatory lender instead of sending it to one of their more reputable businesses. Even the assistant manager I spoke with discussed how she would personally never use that finance company again because of their poor business practices. If its not good enough for the manager, why is it good enough for their customers? I have supported Mr. Heffners classic car cruises in the past and given them years worth of business, but I will not continue to do so.
