Henry Leavenworth Elementary in Leavenworth County

I a a kid who currently went to the school when I went there I had more rude teachers than nice ones to be specific Mrs.hardeman,Mrs.humble,etc when i went there the art program and physical education program helped you none at all as how know I go to warren and I get to workout and gain muscle as in at Henry I was given candy and spoiled so I recommend unless you want your kid spoiled and fat than dont send them to Henry elementary school

The parking lot where the kids get pick up is way to small and some people dont know how to park.

We are a military family that lives within walking distance of this school. We were undecided whether or not to go to school on base, or at Henry Leavenworth (while my husband attended CGSC). I took a tour of the school before we signed our kiddo up, and was completely reassured this was a great place! I cannot express enough just what an incredible experience my kindergartener had this 2016/17 year! Her teacher, Mrs. Phillips, made their learning environment magical and stress-free! She amazed me with the ease of transitioning and guiding her classroom throughout the day. Her love for each student was genuine, and very comforting. This was my first time being away from my child for more than preschool hours, and was completely reassured with my daughters happiness from the stories she came home with, and her excitement to go to school each day!She would cry when she had to stay home from school, if she was sick. I helped in the classroom once a week, and my love and appreciation for her and my daughters class grew each time I went! My daughter loved her Specials throughout the week (art, music, P.E.). The staff is the most welcoming, and kind people who take pride in their work, and with their students! The ladies in the front office (Renate, Monique, Terryare THE eyes and the ears of the school, and have complete control over ensuring safety within. The school encourages respect and kindness, and I saw how the older grades really helped out the younger kiddos (holding doors open for one another, and asking if they needed help finding a class when the school year began). What a great start to my daughters school experience!

Everyone wants in because the facility is shiny and new but its still full of Leavenworth kids. The construction plans seemed to not factor in traffic, leaving parents with almost no place to park during drop off and pick up, resulting in a nearly impossible to avoid additional hour before and after school just to get your child in and out. The growing trend to have children and then never do actual parenting is ruining public education. Schools are forced to work way below what used to be average just to reach these kids. My daughter told me her science and social studies "lesson" was watching cartoons every day. We now homeschool. Too much meth and too many proud teen parents in this town.
