The desk was not manned and the number on the website kept going to voicemail until someone finally picked up to out us on hold. Extremely bad customer service.
Rental process was easy. No issues
Fast friendly service.
I had a good experience with picking our car up 3 days ago. Friendly service and great car. The office is a bit tricky to find: its inside the Marriot Hotel. No signs outside, thats why -1 star instead of full rating
It Hertz.Permanently closed.
I think this is one of the first times Ive ever written a review. Il start by saying that the car was fine and everything was cheap. The bad is that the tacked on an extra week of driving time for me and refused to refund it when the error was made. Receipts and evidence were provided but I was brushed off saying that the refund might take 2 weeks. This happened 3 times in a row. Refunds do not take a month. The only way I was able to get them to fix it was to call the BBB of Seattle and file a charge back with my bank.I have no idea how they are not yet under investigation, it is honestly mind boggling. Pay the extra money to not have to deal with them, I have learned my lesson.
Sometimes when you read reviews you have to read them with a grain of salt. Maybe it isn’t as bad as people say. I wish this place were that case. The issues that we experienced here have been noted in other reviews that have gone back 2 years. Please save yourself and pick another hertz or another rental company. After an accident my insurance company hooked me up with hertz. After a confirmation call that they got my reservation from my insurance company I headed over to this location. Lunch hours are posted from 12 to 1. Great news however, we got there at 1:02. Maybe they aren’t back yet? Fast forward 40 minutes and nobody. I’m embarrassed we even waited 40 minutes because people came, saw nobody for 10 minutes, and then left. We were the suckers who assumed somebody would show up. This place has turned me off hertz for a rental car company of choice.
No one is here. Out at lunch? Good benefits here, i guess
Worst experience ever. We booked this through Chase. Showed up at Marriott at 6pm to get our vehicle. This location closes at 4. Keys weren’t left for us with the Marriott. Their emergency number goes to their front desk or the awful customer service center. Stuck and had to Uber to hotel. We called right at 8am the next day to the Marriott hertz location. The guy who answered couldn’t have been more apathetic. He told us it’s chase’s fault. Their hours online say close at 12pm? But they posted correct hours? Said no car for you. Screwed is over on the reservation. Avoid this company at all costs. We are stranded in Seattle without a car Bc of this terrible company.
Very slow service they never answer the phone and don’t give to much information about when to come in and the whole payment process.
39 minutes after opening and no one to be found. Another customer ahead of me. Clearly from the reviews, this is an issue.
The entrance to this place is f****** impossible to find
Waiting for 1 hour to rent a car that we reserved. Stille nobody.
Ive rented a car here twice and there is never anyone at the counter. Its made me late to two business meetings. NEVER RENT FROM HERE
This location is clearly understaffed. No delineation between patrons who already have a reservation and those who “happened to stop in” or any difference between gold status customers and everyone else. Which means despite an appointment, and gold status, I’m waiting in line for over an hour wondering why I even paid for upgraded gold status in the first place. Do not waste your time at this location.
This is a one person location, so the fact that my car was clean staffer was friendly and service was with a smile was a major plus.
They promised a full size car and i received a Toyota Yaris
Terrible service
Ive rented here twice. The people were friendly, the rates were decent and the vehicles were fine. Would rent here again.
would give zero if possible. worst rental experience ever! received a call 1 week after returning the car from hertz vehicle control dept saying we never returned the car. the whole fiasco turned out to be due to "an error of a staff" from this office. will never use again. plain and simple!
After reading all the bad reviews (I didnt read them when booking on this locationI really got worried when going there on a Saturday. They also didnt pick up the phone when calling so that made me extra worried. However when gotting onsite there was a friendly woman helping at the desk. She even got us a upgrade. And compared to the downtown location it was quite a bit cheaper. So... I can only judge on the experience we had and that was great.
This number is incorrect or Hertz has the worst call center system in the world. All I wanted to do was call and set up a reservation and the number listed keeps taking me to a promotional line that will not let you speak to a Hertz rep.
Alex is extremely personable, and is super flexible to accommodate your needs. This is a single employee location in a hotel, so youll need to be extra patient while hes serving other customers. Whats fantastic is the available pickup/return service, where you can be picked up from relatively close positions to this location, then dropped off here so you can pick up your rental; you can skip that extra step of hailing a taxi / ride-share to get here.
Have to get a rental car after my car was hit. We made the reservation through my insurance company, but when it came to confirming that reservation with Hertz, we tried calling them for 3 days with no answer. Either the phone went to a busy signal, they didnt answer, or they answered and hung up. Truly terrible customer service. We ended up calling the main hertz and changing the reservation to a different location.
No one answers the phone and no one counter. Not sure how they rent cars. Called main number and they were no help. Dont use this location!
No staff was there on the appointed time, I had to wait 10 min until they showed up. Then it took about 30 min because they had to clean the car first and finally, when they handed me the keys, they informed me that the car only has 1/4 fuel left.
standing here waiting for an employee to show up
They dont deserve any star.We were told to drop off the car by hertz at this location. When we got there we were unable to drop off the car. We had to seek out another location. Very inconvenient for us considering our time restraint.A simple return turned into an hour and half.Customer service was horrible. They basically made us deal with their mistake and offered no solution.I would rent a car from Fred flintstone or Barney rubble before hertz.enterprise is much more accommodating.
Awful experience. I made a reservation but when I went to pick it up he didnt have any cars. When I finally got my car, it reeked of marijuana. I called about it, he said he would give me a discount, but apparently he didnt take any notes for it so I was charged the full amount.
thanks for opting in on my behalf for things I explicitly opted out of during reservation. Like fuel purchase for instance. Looks like on site upgrade lets you do anything you please.Wont come back.
Carros novos
Service was excellent...Stanford picked me up at Werners Crash Shop right on time, very professional and well manned, and I was soon on my way with a nice car....excellent experience and Stanford is an asset to the Hertz CompanyJames Kemp-Slaughter
Worst Hertz branch ever. The hours are more limited, fine, but the lazy employee doesnt do his job and leave the keys and agreement for gold members with the hotel staff like he is supposed to, and doesnt show up for work on time (30mn late for us).I had never seen someone who cared so little about doing his job, and some of the other people in line had been there for the 2nd time because when they came to return their car the previous day, that same employee wasnt at work either, and they were unable to return the car.
Rented a vehicle from SEA/TAC airport on Friday and returned it to Seattle Westlake HLE the next day. This Westlake Hertz do not have any Hertz sign on the address shown. Circled the blocks again and again to find the place resulting in late return. When I claimed to return the late return penalty, they refused.FYI, Westlake HLE is in the basement garage of Courtyard Marriott.
Dont bother coming here. The person that works the desk is always on "lunch". Went 3 days in a row and he/she wasnt there
Screw hertz. Their cancellation policy is complete BS! I reserved a car but after a few days of being in the city I was able to figure out the bus system and went to cancel my reservation and was only given $13 of the $63 I paid. Ridiculous!
I had a reservation for 8AM on Sunday; I spent around 45 minutes waiting for someone to show up at the counter, since the staff had not left the keys/agreement with the front desk staff. During this time, I tried twice to call the local number. No one picked up the phone, and the voicemail box was full. I tried calling the national Hertz number, and was told that a customer service rep would call me back.Short story: its now 10:40 AM, Ive been on hold with Hertz since 10AM, and Im being offered to go down to the airport (a 30 minute driveto pick up the same car for an extra $7, and then drive it back down to the airport tonight. After talking to a supervisor and being put on hold for another 15 minutes, it turns out that they no longer have the minivan at the airport, so my only option is to wait until 12:30PM to *hope* that I can get a minivan from the downtown Seattle location, which closes at 4PM.I was looking to rent a minivan for about 4-5 hours. Now Im spending 4-5 hours trying to get my car from Hertz.
I was very unimpressed with the service from Hertz. We booked a rental at this location weeks before our trip to Seattle. The day we were supposed to pick up the car, we called this location to see if it was possible to pick it up a few hours early. No one answered despite numerous calls throughout the day. We werent concerned at this point, as we werent originally intending to be there until 5pm, so when that time did roll around we walked over to pick up the car (about 30 minutes walking). This location is inside the Marriott hotel. There was no one at the Hertz booth. We asked the hotel staff if they had seen anyone working, and were told that the woman who was there that morning "said she was going home for the day since some of the people who booked cars didnt show up". That would be all fine and good, except for the fact that WE had a booking for FIVE P.M.We walked back to our hotel (about 30 minutes againand called Hertzs main line. The person on the other end of the phone was not helpful. She kept repeating the hours for the Marriott location, "open until 530", which we already knew and was useless anyway considering the employee had ducked out for the day. We asked the person on the phone if there was a car at the downtown location we could have instead, to which we were told there were none.We then called Budget rentals, who immediately set us up with a car, no muss no fuss, 20 minutes later.Overall experience with Hertz: terrible. We wasted half an afternoon trying to chase down a car we had already booked, when we could have been saved a headache by going with any other company (many of which do hotel pickups, something Hertz did not offer). We will never attempt to rent from them again.Overall experience with Budget: fantastic. We will recommend them. Thank you for making something so simple, so simple.
