Im a 60 year old widow and not very handy, so I am not a frequent customer. I visit Himpel for the little things - furnace filters, bird seed, mulch, paint thinner, small parts. Even though my purchases are small, I am treated with courtesy and respect. My questions are always answered and suggestions made if I am in doubt about what to buy. By the smiles on their faces, I know that the employees like their jobs which reflects well on the owners. I think their prices are slightly higher than the big box stores, but the items are high quality, you receive good customer service, and by the time you figure in gas prices and travel time, the prices are equal to going to a big box store.

Excellent local hardware store. Superior quality lumber & tools than the national chain stores in nearby towns. I always check here for what I need first as their prices typically compete with amazon & home depot. Exceptionally friendly service as well.
