Enjoyed looking around in the visitor center where theres a wealth of information on flora and fauna in the park and surrounding areas as well as the history of the park. Lots of hiking staffs locally sourced and hand carved available for purchase. Cute tshirts, Ernst books, mosquito repellent, coffee mugs and lots more. Briefly rode Karst Loop then across the road to one of the shorter trails.
Amazing trail! It was away from the roads so youre completely surrounded by nature. Its terrific for backpacking over the weekend, or you can just pitch up a hammock next to the lake and read or fish. Absolutely looking forward to coming back. They really kept the trail clean.
Took the dog on the short Shaddox Hollow loop. Very pretty.
Beautiful park, great hike to the camping, which was also excellent. Lovely body of water to swim in.
Nice trails. We did half the pigeon and some small trails. Well maintained overall.
Not service animals friendly inside the building. Trails were nice
Hobbs State Park Monument trail is always a favorite and a must ride anytime were here.
Neat little gift shop/museum area. The hiking trails are numerous and well kept.
Fantastic mountain bike trail on the east side that seems to have more down than up. Some beautiful views around the lake.
first time backpack camping. camp spot was a ways away from the water. would have liked to be closer
Hobbs state park has some great hiking and biking trails. Pigeon roost (hiking only), karst loop (hiking and bikingare my favourite trails. Both have access and lookout points on the lake. Great swimming hikes too, if you want to spend time in the water. Kayaking is a big time activity too. The rangers are an awesome bunch too, if you are looking for any information. They are also doing outdoor space rentals, if you want to have a fun get together (seating, cooking space and refrigerator available too).
Very nice hike down to Beaver Lake. Just a relaxing walk in the forest, the payoff being a serene view of the lake. Looks like a good place to wet a hook or take a swim
Beautiful park. Love the views. Trails were moderate.
We hiked the Pigeon Roost trail and really enjoyed it. It is a lot of going up and down which is to be expected on a trail in Arkansas. It was a nice moderate workout. The trail was easy to follow as well.
Went to the Birds of Prey presentation this morning with my family and it was by far the best Ive been to in a long time. Not boring at all and very informative. My two daughters enjoyed it as well and they are 9 and 13.The gift shop is one of the best as well. Lots of things we havent seen at other state park gift shops!
Whether youre mountain biking, overnight hiking on Pigeons Roost, or simply swinging through the visitors center while taking a driving break; this is a great place to visit.
Hobbs state park visitor center was really nice. It was very clean. A nice little gift shop. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. It had nice paved walking trails. There is some nice information on animals in the area. There was an easy 3/4 mile walk and there is a longer trail as well. If you need a break from the winding roads... check out this visitor center.
Hobbs State Park - Conservation Area has some of the best mountain biking in Arkansas. The trails are challenging and flow great but not too hard. You can go about as fast as you want. It is super fun! There is a nice welcome center and plenty of parking. Camping and hiking is available as well. The trails drain quickly so you can ride after heavy rain and snow.
Incredible place to visit sometime... the way nature mixes with landscapes... also location brings you peace and calm
Good hiking trails. Awesome little water falls when walking off the normal path.
Enjoyed the nice cool weather and hunting. I Had the privilege of seeing my first frost flower in person.
Shaddox Hollow Trail is beautiful with a little inlet to the lake and a few small caves. Please be mindful of the wildlife there and do not touch them. The human skin is harmful and painful to these little guys.
Beautiful drive to a beautiful state park surrounded by beautiful Northwest Arkansas countryside. Minutes away from Eureka Springs, Rogers and Springdale.
Beautiful park. Women working in the visitors center very nice and informative. Lots of brochures, gift shop and museum. Loved watching the hummingbirds, bees and butterflies amongst the flowers out front. Should of asked how to get down to see river as pictured here, but it was a hot July day, probably wasnt going to hike it anyway.
Beautiful hiking! Campsite 1 may have the nicest view of the water but its the furthest from the water access
Van Winkle Hollow trails are a fun, low impact trails with easy to access from near y Rogers Arkansas.
Love visiting here. Love the nature and the welcome center. There are so many animals to look at, and such a good glimpse at the nature in the area. Also love the lake lookout.
What a great experience! This multi use all weather trail is not just perfect for when the weather isnt perfect. It was an all around great trail for any time. There are more miles to do in a day than most people can do. I did two different loops and both were fun. I will absolutely go back.
Beautiful trails to walk through. Nice weekend drive from Bentonville.
We hiked the Pigeon roost trail and had a blast. We ended up taking the outer loop and it took about 4 hours. The redbuds and dogwoods were in full bloom. Be sure to bring bug spray and heavy duty boots to help you get up and down the hills. Also, make sure to sign in and out and observe pack in/pack out rules.
Really great trails for hiking here! The trails are well marked and easy to find (and not get lostWe found the Roaster Pigeon Trail that was super nice. It was 8 miles and you can stop and camp. It was an even trail with curves not a lot of steep hills. It was for moderately skilled hikers. There were lots of rocks and roots on the trail itself so you may need a hiking stick and be able to watch your feet so you don’t trip! We saw a huge Armadillo and some other wildlife.
Great place to ride a bike or hike. Even have equestrian section, with watering stops for horses. The MTB trails are awesome and well maintained.
Awesome trails to ride. A little smoother than most local trails.
This park is worth the drive. If you like hiking or mtb it’s definitely worth a visit. We went to the visitor center but after meeting a local we were told the trail off Rambo road was a better place to go. Went and rode the 8 mile loop and didn’t disappoint. The trail is a very moderate workout. Only a short climb at the beginning and the rest has lots of ups and downs that flow so well. About halfway thru the loop you get near the lake area and it’s very pretty. Has good shade all the way and a breeze pretty much the entire time. Had an amazing time there.
I walked three trails here. Although they were shorter trails, they were all well maintained. Interesting history and beautiful scenery!
Very nice and clean. Not overly crowded. Weve been there for a bird watching lecture, and astronomy night.
Love this Park its really neat! Very beautiful park!
The new Monument Trail at Hobbs is the prettiest mountain biking trail in Arkansas. It is also one of the best. With over 30 miles of fast-flowy trails that drain perfectly, this is one of the best mountain-biking destinations in Arkansas. Highly recommended.
Paradise! Experience the serene beauty of nature. Advised to go during early spring. In summer you may experience finding snakes in the trail.
The guide at the visitor center was really nice and helpful. I did the Peagon roost trail. The hike is not that difficult. But the view at the lake is awesome.
Very nice example of how beautiful Arkansas is! The trails were clean and the paths were clear. Took some nice pictures of the water and hiked a bit. People are friendly and let us first timers now how to get to the good spots! A TheMonn recommends!
Love hiking the Pigeon Roost every year! Trail is marked and well kept. I recommend hiking in the fall with the leaves changing. They have 5-6 campsites that have fire pits and elevated areas for tents. If you go during warm weather make sure you bring bug spray. Plenty of mosquitos and ticks on the trail. Keep your eyes peeled you never know who you might run into. We saw Rooster Cogburn.
Beautiful park! We went on the short Van Winkle trail and it was an easy, beautiful walk on a spring day.
The spring season is an awesome time to visit Hobbs State Park. This was our second time to visit and the dogwoods were beautiful! We did both sides of the Van Winkle trails and it was quite peaceful and with a lot of birds and nature.
Nice hiking in this area. Nothing too bad and all of the trails are well maintained.
Hiked the pigeon roost trail. Neat little state park. The trails were mainly gravel, but well kept. Trees were marked so you would know you were on the trail. It is a nice, serene forest to hike in to get away from people and the rest of the world.
Its very beautiful, clean and marked well. I come here often from Missouri. To me its like going on a Holiday every time. Whether it be Hobbs or any part of this northern part of Arkansas. Every visit is beautiful and calming for the soul. People here are very kind and welcoming. Arkansas is my home away from home.
Enjoyed our visit to hobbs state park . War eagle cavern s a must visit wen u go to hobbs. Best place for a scenic drive
Love This State Park!!!! One of my favorites in Arkansas, very Relaxing & Beautiful during Spring, Summer & Fall 😍🌲🌾☘️🍁
This is a very nice park. The Visitors Center has a few nice displays and the bathrooms are very clean. I do like the trails connected with the Visitor Center, however it would be nice if the trails had a map with how long the trail is and where it goes at the beginning. Parking is great if you bring a bus or car pooling. If your by yourself, youll have to park a ways from the building.
