Super nice and friendly staff! Scheduled my root canal next week after everything was explained and I feel very comfortable about my upcoming procedure.

Let me start off by saying Dr. Allen and his team are exceptional and always have good energy at the office. I’ve had braces for nearly 2 years and I’ve always had good experiences at my appointments. I am obsessed with the results achieved and always look at my teeth in the mirror! My teeth look amazing! I catch myself having conversations with the mirror just to see my teeth :D As far as the office in general I’ve never had any issues. The whole staff is always friendly and willing to help. I’ve had to reschedule on numerous occasions and they are always great with working with my schedule. Any issues I’ve had always came from insurance, and they always helped me with those issues. So if you are concerned or have questions regarding insurance (since insurance always has loop holes and lingo to confuse peoplethey are awesome and super helpful and knowledgeable 10/10! Even checking in is a good experience, so go ahead and stop in and ask for Dr. Allen 👍🏼

The intermountain Dental specialists are very professional and good at what they do. They discuss all your options and provide professional recommendations. I would definitely go back again.

Stephanie is the most knowledgeable, kind, and professional Dental Assistant / hygienist I have ever experienced.

Dr Allen and Kori (as well as Stephaniewere great. They were very informative, and friendly. They are easy to get in contact with and they work with your schedule.

There staff and Dr treat me like I was garbage. They was too pushy. I felt that they guess wanted money from me and not what is best for me. I will not be going back there again.

I honestly hate rating them a two Only because the customer is great. However the over all work done was horrible. At first i thought it was just me and i feel bad i recommend so many friends and my friends children there! They left a gap and when i talked to my dentist about it he said it was to small to worry about to use my retainer and it would go away .. Which it has not i paid a lot of money for them to half way do the work needed i only know this because i have to pay another orthodontist to finish the job i paid this denistry almost four thousand to do!!! I wish i would have searched around more do not be sucked in by customer service alone!!

This was my first time at Intermountain dental specialists. They were kind helpful and explained things very well. Stephanie was very nicwe and explain how things worked and what would be the best thing to do for my x rays to make sure the Dr could get the best look at my teeth to be able to help me out best. Dr Cook was very nice, he answered all my questions and explained to me what he would do and what he could do in my situation to give me the best results. He also gave me a few options when it came time to get my tooth worked on. I would definitely recommend this place.

I was very impressed with Intermountain Dental Specialists, the staff and Dr. Coats whom made the entire experience very comfortable. Easy to complete all forms online prior to the appointment. Treatment options and recommended treatment plan upfront and honest, particularly financial options. If you need a dental specialist this is most definitely where you need to go!

Horrible experience. They waited until I got there to tell me my insurance wasn’t cover my procedure which was frustrating but I still was going to get it done. I got back and they don’t have my X-rays (which I was told they could email them over and even called an hour before my appointment to see if they had them to which side was told they did.well they didn’t get them and blamed it on me for not getting them. The lady had an attitude and said “they have been sitting there for 2 weeks for you to pick up”. One I was seen barely a week ago and if I didn’t have people telling me that they will be emailed so would if picked them up considering the dentist is literally 1 minute from my house. Save you time and money and go somewhere else.

Everyone there is absolutely amazing 💖 they addressed any concerns I had regarding my procedure and made sure I was comfortable the entire time.

Honestly, days like my experience here are why I hate dentists. The whole morning seemed like I was just shifted from room to room. Once they started the root canal, the doctor didn’t use any numbing gel on the roof of my mouth before sticking the needle in to numb it. Then every time they went to take an X-ray they hit me in the head with the X-ray machine. When I was done, they didn’t offer anything to help with pain once the numbing wore off. I followed their post-op instructions and called the office around 4:50 pm to ask about something for the throbbing pain. Since the dentist was gone, I was told to call the after hours number. I called it just after 5 pm and also texted the number since the post-op instructions said texts were fine.No response.At all.I’m not sure what the purpose of the after hours number is if you don’t get a response. Now I have to wait until morning to contact my regular dentist to see if they can help with the pain. Since it’s after 11 pm and I can’t sleep due to the pain from todays events, I decided to fill out the review they sent me a text message asking me to leave. I hope this helps someone else when choosing who to go to. I definitely won’t be back to this office.

Dr Coates provided a professional and successful solution to a challenging root canal procedure. His skillful talents are greatly appreciated and all 3 staff members demonstrated friendliness and helpfulness that exceeded that of other clinics that I had considered for this procedure.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff and doctors. Will take extra time to help in situations that are more difficult and are willing to work with patients. Endodontist is knowledgeable and extremely dedicated to his field!

They are amazing! I wasnt able to sleep because of some painful teeth, I went to my regular dentist, and they referred me here because of my complicated teeth. I called at 9:00 and they worked me in at 11:15 even though they were short a staff member, and super busy. The ladies at the front desk remembered my name and were so kind! I get anxious at the dentist, and they did everything they could to make me comfortable! They called the day after to make sure that I was feeling good, and again remembered who I was, and made me feel like I wasnt just another number! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Was a good experience, as far as dental visits go. Everyone was kind, and the procedure was hardly painful at all. It did take over an hour past my appointment time to get started would be my only complaint. 😁

These guys were so awesome throughout every step! answered all the my questions and made me feel super comfortable! I have anxiety and it’s only heightened that much more by dentists and doctors. They made sure I was numb properly and comfortable while they did my root canal! It was super quick and they did great work! I am about 6-7 hours post op, and i don’t have any extreme pain like i have with other procedures! Dr Coates was super friendly and so awesome to work with! Highly recommend this place!!

I had such a positive experience here! Patty (the receptionistwent above and beyond to make sure I had insurance coverage taken care of. The staff was super friendly, made sure I was as comfortable as possible with my procedure, and made sure all my concerns were address. My procedure went very well and as painless as possible. I would 100% recommend them!

I went in to see Dr Coats for an evaluation on my infection in my jaw and tooth and gums. The whole staff and Dr were very professional. They gave me different options as to what needed to happen with my mouth. I will go in tomorrow for a root canal redue and go from there

Had 2 problems Dr. John Coats was able to take care of for me. I am one who needs details of the matter, and to understand what the dentist sees in order to remain calm. He did just that. Worked efficiently. I would trust him in the future if I was to have a serious matter come up.

I had a small filling done at my dentists office over a year ago and my teeth have hurt ever since. I went to Intermountain Dental for a root canal to try and finally get the pain under control (and was terrified of the thought of a root canaland they were super nice, found the source or the problem, and did a root canal all in the same day. I was super anxious about being worked on so they put me to sleep for the procedure and I got through it just fine. It’s now the day after and so far my tooth feels better than it has in weeks. Time will continue to tell if I made the right choice but I’m happy with my experience with them so far. Hopefully things stay on track and I can be done with that tooth pain forever!

Dr. John Coats is an exceptional endodontist. He has been serving members of our family for over two decades with great success. We wouldnt use anyone else.

These people were amazing!!! I did not feel my numbing shot and they slathered my parched lips with vaseline just before they started without me even asking. Dr. Coats and all of the staff were very kind, gentle, and thorough. It was clear that they were very skilled and they went above and beyond with their service and kindness. I couldnt have had a better experience!!!

Such a beautiful office, amazingly friendly staff, and customer service is above outstanding! So impressed with the time Dr. Allen, and his assistant Kory spent with me during my consultation. Dr. Allen is knowledgeable, thorough while explaining the benefits of crossbite/underbite correction, and the treatment of Invisalign braces. I am so excited to begin my treatment with this office! 100 percent recommend!!!

My 9 year old needs 3 root canals and was very nervous multiple associated went out of there way to make her feel comfortable and less nervous. All of the staff I met were very kind and Knowledgeable. I would highly recommend coming here if you need a root canal or any other services they provide.

The office staff and assistants were gracious, kind, and very helpful. They allowed me to come in at their next earliest available appointment which was only two days out. Dr Coats was very professional and compassionate. His work was well done and hopefully my aching tooth will recover from the root canal and be good. The numbness is wearing off and no pain.

Helped set expectations & made me feel comfortable. Thet really had a feel of experience & knowing what they were doing. I would totally work with them again.

Dr Coates is an excellent endodonist. He’s very professional and answered all my questions. His staff was very good also. I did think his assistant could of been a little more professional. I felt like his assistant had so much going on around her that it was hard for her to concentrate at the task at hand. I would go back to this office.

This place was great, they helped me with my problem, and are continuing to help me. They found my issues and told me all the ways I could make it better, and really let me decide what I wanted to do. And explained everything to me. The staff is completely amazing and makes you feel comfortable. The Doctor knew what he was doing and assured me throughout the whole process. Very clean and put together.

I needed 2 root canals and a tooth pulled, Dr. Coats was awesome, didn’t feel anything! They numbed me so well before the needle was even stuck in my mouth, I didn’t feel ANYTHING! And the laughing gas was $50? Yes please. I just slept through the whole thing, unless i was told to open my mouth wider. This procedure was better than fillings. Like amazing! Dr. Coats bedside manner was amazing, he was so kind and courteous, and used his years of knowledge to put me at ease and feel comfortable. His assistant? I’m not sure what her official title is, was so great, she made sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable. Seriously, everybody, the Doc, assistant, front desk, everybody offered mind blowing customer service. I wish I could come here for regular office visits. You won’t make a mistake coming here, schedule with Dr. Coats, so great.

Dr. Rasmussen and his staff were professional and personable during my impacted wisdom tooth removal. The tooth proved to be a challenging one, but he used his tools, training and experience to perform a successful tooth removal. I had every step of the way explained to me and I am recovering according to their predictions. While I watched him and his dental assistant do their work, I kept thinking about how blessed we all are to have professionals who are capable of doing this kind of work. Tooth extraction is never fun, but it is comforting to know that you have someone like him that you can place your bet on that it will be done well.From me and my family, Thank you for your quality work Doc!

When I went in the first time to book an appointment for my wisdom teeth removal it took them 30+ minutes to take me back and they did a terrible job and explaining anything. The second time was for when I came to get my teeth out. They said a 15 minute wait then an hour and 30 minutes pass and they finally take me back. The 3rd and finale time was for my 5 day checkup it was quick getting back but the lady that showed me how to clean my sockets sucked and kept repeating herself. She shoved the tool in my socket and made me dizzy and nauseous. Wouldnt recommend them and definitely wont ever be going back

I gave them three stars because my experience was mixed. As far as the root canal, everything was fine, in fact perfect.Later that evening I was sitting watching television when something stuck me near my belt line. Upon exploration I found what I later determined was a root canal drill! About a half hour I found another in my lower garments. Fortunately that one did no damage.So be prepared!

Love how the staff make you feel. They call/text to make sure everything was good during your visit. My son just got braces and Kim text to see how he was adjusting to them. My daughter also goes there and the treatment has always been good. I recommend this place to anyone.

I have some very challenging dental problems, much of which has dealt with continuing bone loss around my teeth as I age. However, with the expertise of the carring staff I have received very solid and successful dental carecare over the past several years. Much of this is due to Dr Jared Rasmussen, attention to dental, coming up with an excelent treatment plan of attack. His surgical expertise is nothing short of perfection. This is why both my wife (who has her own unique challengesand I keep going back to Intermountain Dental Specialists for our surgical dental care, knowing we are going to one of the best in the nation, right here in Utah.

Had a really great experience. All staff is very caring and kind. Made me feel very comfortable even when I was scared and nervous before getting my procedure done. I cannot thank them enough for being understanding of my concerns and for making this experience the best ever!

Doctor Coats and his team treated me so very Well! It Was the very back tooth, hard to get to, and a difficult procedure. Doctor Coats did not flinch. The team worried about my comfort and pain level, which was 0, the whole time. I felt very much at ease especially for my 1st visit there. Yes I would go back again in a heartbeat!

We have been going to Intermountain Dental Specialists for my sons orthodontic work for a little over a year now. We noticed results right away and have been pleased with the care received thus far. The work needed and procedures done are always explained well and any questions are answered. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. We appreciate the follow up text messages. There is very rarely a wait time – we are in and out of the office visits quickly.

Very kind staff. I have some serious anxieties about dentists (of any kindI dont know if all the extra attention I received was just for me to keep me distracted(so I didnt freak out). Or they do that for everyone. Someone stayed with me most of the time even while just we were just waiting for xrays, and insurance. I really, really appreciated it. We have had three kids get braces with Intermountain Dental Specialists. The staff has done a fabulous job with each child and gives individualized attention with every visit. IDS is affordable and know what they are doing. We have complete trust in the way they handle each childs needs and we have been very pleased with the results of their work!

We have loved seeing Dr. Johnson at Intermountain Dental Specialists! His office is fabulous, the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and he is great! We recently moved out of state and were seriously considering making the 5 hour drive to come back for adjustments. That’s how much we love it there!
