Got $20 t bone steak .... sent it away after few bites . No Seasoning , no searing, just very old tough gritty steak. Had school cafeteria food made with more flavor. Just bad

I would score this lower if I could the food was severed on a dirty plate waited over 45 minutes for food people who were sat after us were given food before us if I was the Manger of this place I would be truly ashamed of my staff and food prep and im scared to think what other major food handling health codes were broken on a daily basis at this place

19 years ago my husband and I got married in the Iron skillet December 29, 2001. Is a fantastic place to eat, the service was wonderful.

Food was great & hot. Jessica the server was awesome & on top of everything. Placed my order & got it in 10 minutes. I will definitely be coming here again.

Very rarely do you find a good steak and any truck stop. The manager of this kitchen or restaurant cook a damn good steak. I even tempting and I dont do that very often. It was just the right medium rare you could cut that bad boy with a butter knife if you wanted to. Wasnt very very good

Staff was extremely friendly and gave us everything we needed without having to ask. Food was nice and hot. Very cheap if youre driving through. Was about $45 for 2 adults and 3 kids.

We love the iron skillet. Service has always been excellent and the food good. Yesterday we did take out for the first time and everything was just as good as dining in. The portions are always good!

Have been there several times! Not impressed with the upkeep of the buffet or the service! It takes me 6 months to return to this place only hoping each time i would see better results! Items on buffet are not stirred and are usually dried out! Was asked to get fish instead of the meat on the buffet and was told it would cost additional. Not everyone eats meat! Need to be trained on true customer service and what that means! Changes needed!

Great food. Hot fresh. Airways a friendly easy going staff. I think they should have a Better selection or more food for that price about 13 to 14 bucks.

The food is excellent. Its clean. Service is good, but not great at this location... thats why it got 4/5 stars.

The food here is heaven. The buffet is the best Ive ever ate at and its all homemade food. Stewed tomatoes and sweet potatoes were so dang good... Smoked ham was just perfect and I recommend all to come visit this amazing restaurant. Rumor has it they going to turn this into an IHOP and I really hope they dont because it would be a shame.

The food was disgusting, the biscuits were hard as rocks, the Mac and cheese tasted like water, no flavor, the bacon was burnt really bad and the server wasnt too swift, she was rude to me and really nice to my boyfriend, so what does that tell ya? I will never go back to that iron skillet again.

My chicken was dryer than the Sierra desert. Ohhh lawd I even tried smothering it in ketchup, and us Americans know if ketchup dont make it taste decent then its TRASH. But still rating them 4 because the buffet was SOLID. The waitress was so friendly it was almost sickening. I would go back but wouldnt order that chicken again...it was so dry Im still chewing it like a piece of bubble gum.

Lunch was ok but the service was horrible. Waitress was racheal,terrible customer service. Barely spoke a word or even asked about refill with a glass empty for five minutes. This place is empty. And the check was slid down the table at me,not handed. No thanks or nothing. Worst customer service Ive ever got. To top it off her and the other servers were more worried about talking than checking on people.and they stood around swearing about other coworkers,talking trash. Why do I need to hear this. I spent $20 FOR lunch,should of went somewhere else. Never coming back here.Rant over Have a merry Christmas!!!!

We both had the breakfast buffet. We didnt know it but they switch to lunch at noon on Sunday and we got there at a quarter of. Breakfast was fairly old, stale and mostly depleted so we were dissapointed. Would have rather had a little overlap with some fresh biscuts and eggs. If we go back we will go much earlier. The breakfast food was barely acceptable. The lunch items looked pretty decent, so dont go toward the noontime switchover if you want breakfast.

Great food and great people especially my server Miss Shaiann.I was impressed with both the character and work ethic of this young lady and would reccomend her for management training.I had the pot roast with green beans.This establishment is one with a peaceful atmosphere.

Use to go there a lot, but the quality of food has not been as good as in the past. The buffet needs some attention. Just an ok place if you like truck stop food.

First time eating here waitress Monti is super sweet and helpful and the chicken cordon bleu sandwich with home fries with cheese was great I would definitely eat here again thank you Monti for serving me

They have a 14oz sirloin ! With Shald & a side for $16.00 bucks , folks that is a deal right there & it was Gooood & Great service all So !

The food was delicious.. I was vert pleasantly surprised to see such a clean restaurant and the staff were very friendly. We will be back again

This was not at all what I expected for a truck stop restaurant. I will certainly return. Its a nice off the clock sit down and enjoy type place. Good food and entertainment was off to the side for those that wanted it but quite enough not to bother those that didnt.

Havent been to an Iron Skillet Restaurant in years. Normally work at night, and dont get a chance to get the buffet plenty of food, all in good order, fresh. Ill return again. Casual American dining at its best. Truck drivers, waitresses, four wheelers the whole Gambit

Poor attitude from waitress, NO service. It was a hot day and we were not even offered water. She mocked my husbands dietary needs of gluten free as "boring" and walked away. We sat there 10-15 min while she rang out others and talked to people who were DONE at another table. She never looked over nor came back. We left with no service offered to us. We left hot, tired and hungry.

It had a great service even though when we arrived they were setting up breaks the switch in waitresses was so smooth you wouldnt have even noticed it changed. Really good food, salad bar is great. Soups of the day is good as well. Great variety of food choices

I think we were there on Christmas day. The waitress was not exactly forth right about the prices for the holiday buffet. So i chose the dinner of liver and ? We waited and waited and waited for her to come back to get our order. It seems that the buffet had gone up in price more than a little.

Service was not good..its a buffet..all I needed was drinks..and it took forever.. food was Luke warm or cold and old..and there was only like 6 people total in there counting my group and everyone else..and the one chef came out cussing in front of my one daughter..not at her but still very unprofessional.. will not recommend or be back..37 dollars for 3 bad experiences Ill go elsewhere

Will not acknowledge my bariatric surgery weight loss card. They carry the fresh, nutritious food Im supposed to eat... But I only eat 6 ounces of anything, maximum. I refuse to pay $20.00+ dollars for six ounces of food... plus beverage.

I like that its 24 hours a day but the portions could be bigger considering the price. Four dollars for corn beef hash that was the equivalent less than half a can of corn beef hash and when i made a comment about the cost to the waitress she referanced it being a truck stop and that that is why they and i quote get away with charging that much. Also the biscuits and gravy had a hot dog taste that kind of put me off. Aside from that again i cannot stress how nice it is to be able to stop and have a good meal even if the service is mediocre.

I hadnt been here in about 20 to 25 years and suprisingly, absolutely nothing had changed. It looked exactly the same, there werent any clean plates for the salad bar, there werent any clean plates for the buffet and the buffet table was almost completely cleaned out of everything. Almost to the letter my experience from years ago! It was like I had stepped back in time!So this time I figured Id try the spaghetti with meat sauce. The spaghetti noodles were okay, but the "sauce" was just a heap of greasy, tasteless hamburger meat piled on top.I probably wont be back here for another 20 or 25 years. Maybe it will change by then, but Im not counting on that.

A fatty piece of chicken in my soup and a grisily piece of chicken in my sandwich. Place is clean though and they offer a wide selection of food options. Buffet bar looked really good.

Good food....buffet looks amazing. Waitresses are always very nice here. Just love Monti....shes my favorite waitress!!

I have food allergies badd ones and when I made my allergy clear they still serve the food to the window with the allergy on my plate and in just remove the allergy from the plate instead of re cooking my food then I go and talk to the supervisor about it and I got one story out of her another story not of the waitress and in a 3rd story from the cook and it just seems like all 3 of them were trying to Put each other under the bus while in the meantime Im getting sick from my food allergy. Very dangerous place if you have food allergies.

Waitress sat over at another table and talked talked talked talked. Her voice carries, and she sounded like a ditz. Had to call her over twice. Forgot the strawberry on my pancakes. But all in all, clean friendly place

It was great and the waitresses were excellent and we had a bunch of people like 30 some and they were very quick in the food was great and its very clean we will go there again

We were there for the Gospel Sing that is held there once a month. The servers are wonderful. They tske good cate of you ehile you sit and enjoy gospel music. They have a buffet that has a huge selection. Its a wonderful, friendly, loving atmosphere.

Nice place and friendly staff the food was good but the buffet was a little pricey. For two people with drinks was $28.00 on Sunday. The best thing about this place is your food from the buffet will never be coldncause your plate stays hot.

DELICIOUS! I had never tried chicken fried steak before, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. The coffee was great, the service was great, and the food was fantastic. 10/10

Food was old and dry. When asked to make fresh food, they mixed newly prepared into the old food. Salad bar was fresh. Staff was friendly. Extremely clean. Wish I could have had a better dining experience. Dog run was great!

Not a big Buffet, but all the good food that sticks to your ribs and makes you loosen your belt. Waitresses respond quickly and theyre very nice.

Its a good friendly place to sit down and take a load off. Ordered food is for the most part great. Buffet can get a little crusty at times, but its a great family friendly place Ill continue to take mine to!

We were very disappointed in the quality of the food and the service was very slow. We have always enjoyed eating there on our trips to Michigan, the steak my husband had tasted like the grill had not been cleaned and I had chicken Alfredo that was tasteless and very yellow Alfredo sauce is white

Soup and salad bar was excellent, unfortunately downhill from there. Daughters shrimp was fine, but wifes chicken was dry and no flavor. My steak and sauteed mushrooms tasted bland and the pinto beans were so bad I was done with it after the first bite. First and last trip, hopefully Stony Ridge will be better. 🤮🤮🤮

I got the breakfast buffet which was under under $11. Food was good. When I walked in there was no signage to sit yourself or wait to be seated. After walking slowly to the counters there were two waitresses talking to each other but did not acknowledge me. I sat myself and my waitress was cordial.

I have memories from my early childhood here. I remember when they used to still have the phones at every booth so that the drivers could call home while they were dining. It has a very welcoming environment. The food is very comforting and youre bound to leave full. They have a banquet area for large parties and private doors so that parties may have privacy, at no extra charge. Definitely recommend for travelers. There is also an arcade, travel store and showers located in the travelers mall.

My plate was cold because they let it sit while they remade my husband plate. Evidently they burnt my husbands country fried steak, so they just let my plate wait for his. Mine was cold and not very good. Only the coffee was good. This is a shame that when our truck drivers finally get to stop and eat its not good food.

Sure, its a truck stop. But the staff makes you feel at home. The food is good and filling. And there is something fun about eating at a waypoint for so many people going different places.

Have given 2 stars because I have been there for breakfast before and it was great, but last night I took my family out and it was awful. There were 8 of us, two being children, and as we entered the hostess while leaning over her counter told us we could seat ourselves. We found a table and had to wait almost 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress. We gave our drink orders and looked over the menus. About 15 minutes later we received our drinks and after giving out the first 5 drinks, spilled the final on 3 drinks on the floor, splashing on 4 of my family. I truly felt bad for our waitress and this all could be forgiven but the food was awful. Buffet food was dry and overcooked. We were told this was a seafood buffet and all I saw was 2 different kinds if fish and some kind of casserole with seafood in it. The beef and pork appeared to be salvaged and re cooked. I do understand the practice as I worked in food service for 20 years, but this was truly poor and the buffet was almost 14 bucks. Chicken was dry and bland. The dessert table included dry sheet cake and rice Krispy treats. Salad bar was actually pretty good. The waitress took over 25 minutes to bring food ordered of the menu. My wifes club sandwiches toast was burnt and the final meal was brought out 5 minutes later still. I saw the manager deal with another customer that was disappointed with their food and the manager stated the error was caused because they were busy. I scanned the floor and didnt see when they were even over half full. I was too upset to talk civil to him so I am writing this now. If so busy, why in the first 40 minutes of our visit had I not seen him before helping his staff. Friday night should be a night when a facility should put their best foot forward, but they could barely stand. I dont think I will return. I wish I would have spoken to the manager in person.

ONLY reason 4 stars were given is because of our awesome waitress, Alexis. The buffet looked crappy, she complained to the cook and management for us, everything was changed out. Stuck for the entire weekend, it happened for more than one meal, but she handled it with grace each time. I highly recommend sitting in her section, she will make sure youre taken care of.

Every time my husband and I go there they mess up our order. The waitress take forever to wait on you and they barely check on you to see how your food is..the prices arent worth the food tastes.
